Post by: georgiapeach on February 02, 2021, 01:20:13 PM
I'd like us to keep the LIVE thread for that...meaning  LIVE that happened during filming.

Opening this one for new spoilers we glean during watching episodes and Promos.

The EP live watches are more for discussion of what we see. But let's use this for our SPOILERS grabs!

If you would like to copy your posts over to hear from the LIVE thread please feel free.

 :tu everyone!

I did not watch last episode yet but apparently one team will be medically evacuated, is it true?

Do you think they will bring back Judy & Shannon to replace this team like they did with cousins? They better do. Cause I would be pissed if they will not... You put this "rule" so stick with it. It's even more unfair otherwise.

Came on here to see all the hate from last night. While I stopped watching and really no intention to pick up I figured I'd throw in my two cents since I think this is where the hot air balloon spoiler may come in where I thought I saw the twin models.

Somebody said on Reddit it sounds like it was Shane's voice saying they couldn't continue on.

I think it's two guys on the hot air balloon and one I always thought could be Shane but the other person looked too "boyish" to be Deb. If both of their partners get medevaced, I wonder if Shane and Jack could combine to make a new team.

At this point, fair is not in the production's vocabulary so we'll see what happens.

Rewatched this promo because of all the spec regarding the T-Junction teams- it certainly does seem like we have our Final 8 in Alice Springs per the hot air balloons. However, I also noticed the Henley-on-Todd regatta, also in Alice Springs (1:29 in the above preview, where Aleisha says, "I can't do this").

Correct me if my understanding of the T-Junction is wrong, but it seems as if teams are intersected for the entire leg. Therefore, I suggest that we might have two legs in Alice Springs, unless the regatta is also part of the T-Junction (though it would have to be a relay since we only see Jordan and Violeta completing this task).

I'm not 100% sure Alice Spring is final 8...
It's suppose to be leg 9.. would it make sense to have 6 teams out in the first 8 legs, then 5 for the last 12 lol

The most logical is that it's at final 10. 2 groups of 5

BUT in that video where he talked about the new twists, the T-Junction is showed to have 6 spots on each side of team pictures...
Could it be?
But that would mean no more team eliminated in the next 6 legs, which makes no sense.

Maybe T-Junction is leg 5? Wasn't in that leg supposed to be that Survivor kind of challenge we seen in preview? There were 6 people hanging on the pole... Maybe that was one mega team?

It would mean that they would need to bring back Jody & Shannon to replace quitting/medevac team to prove this theory of 12 teams doing T-Junction.

In the same facebook video I posted above, six teams are in a speedboat together- could the T junction occur twice?

I think the T Junction is at final 10 since it has the promo cap of the cowboys, Kimberley cousins, Violetta/her boyfriend, and Sefa/Jessica celebrating at what looked to be the pitstop. The Sikhs must just be out of the screen view during that as I'm also pretty sure they're in that group.

The other hot air balloon had Skye-Blue and Jake, Holly and Dolor, Asheligh and Amanda, and Chris and Aleisha. There's another team who we can't make out also on the hot air balloon (you can only see the side of their heads). Originally I thought it was the twin models but than just assumed it must be Deb and Shane.

However, it looks like Deb and Shane may very well be medevaced this next episode so I'm not really sure.

I'd be very surprised if both the twin models returned but I guess it is possible?

Or I thought possibly they'd have Jack and Deb combine to make a team since both of them had a partner unable to continue.

I don't think the T Junction can be at final 12 as it doesn't seem to be in this next leg and if it's a non-elimination leg than the next leg would only have 11 teams (as one would have the first class pass). I guess its possible they planned for a "you're still racing" leg at final 12 but that obviously has been ruined by somebody getting medevaced.

I only see five teams in the speedboat:

Sefa and Jessica

Aleisha and her boyfriend

The Kimberley cousins

The Sikhs

Skye-Blue and Jake

yeah, I think the medevac is Deb and Shane. The only other team it could've been was the dad and daughter but he's seen at 1:47 in a challenge that the description from episode 5 seems to match:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s2jF6ZXAS2k&t=419s

So whoever the two mystery people is in the hot air balloon are an even  bigger mystery now lol

https://www.facebook.com/AmazingRaceAU/videos/2594882827468636

For reference, the link above at 2:06 is the hot air balloon shot in question. The two people in the back right of the hot air balloon (dark hair and facing the side) are the ones in question. I'd use the link (watch in high quality) as the screenshot we got got rid of some of the details of the shot due to the coloring

Based on this:

Show content
It seems that Shane and Deb U-Turn Holly & Dolor. Since the former are speculated to be medically removed, they likely last until Leg 5.

Also, the image of the Sikhs and Sefa & Jessica could be a normal Pit Stop scene, but based on the Sikhs' poses, it seems that they aren't checking in- could be another Salvage situation!

Honestly, my main takeaway from that preview is why does TARAUS try their best to spoil as much as they can in their previews  :groan:

They posted ad video on Instagram which is confirming medevac exit in today's episode. I wonder if that medevac is related to that fire challenge? Who do you think it is? Shane or Rani? Will they bring back Malaan & Tina to replace that team? (It's about time for another NEL considering there is supposed to be 24 legs this season.)

Don't think that's it because it would give a potentially lopsided team. Maybe it's for the endurance challenge tonight? There appears to only be 5 stations or 6.

Are we thinking another eliminated team will come back?
It's such a sh*t show that there's a lot fo NEL but team keep being medivac/out for other reasons. lol

I would love to see the girls get another shot (maybe they will do a tiny competition between the last two teams out to get back in?) They didn'T for the cousins because they were the only team out at that point.

They'll probably pick the team most recently eliminated since they only missed one leg. So Malaan & Tina.

All the eliminated teams have done exit press now - Dwes & Katherine didn't. I don't think we'll get a return.

Are we sure there will be 24 episodes?

That would mean in 19 remaining episodes there will be 11 NEL/cliffhanger ones.
Title: Re: TAR AUS 5 DISCUSSION of ALL SHOW & AD SPOILERS *may contain future info*
Post by: Gabby54 on February 08, 2021, 04:17:36 PM
What do you mean by exit press?

Also, keep in mind that Dwes and Katherine likely just didn't have the time to do it. The twins quit early the next morning, Dwes and Katherine probably found out before they could do exit press they were returning and immediately started getting prepared to return.

The infamous two people we still don't know in the hot air balloon makes me think somebody returns but who knows?

Ok but there is not going to be 24 legs if by leg 8 (or 9) they are down to 8 teams....

Is it possible we have a NEL for leg 7, and the winner doesn't have to do the the T-Jonction on leg 8?

That would make sense. It would also mean that Sefa & Jessica will win next leg if this theory is correct.

Victims of T-junction would be either Dwes & Katherine or Jordan & Violeta then, other teams were seen in next legs.

I still think the twist they talk about in the preview is some sort of cheat, so that we have
Sunday: Twist leg all 9 teams are still there
Monday: NEL, one team wins the first class ticket
Tuesday: Super T-Junction leg, ONE team eliminated for sure, we have 8 teams left

I just re:looked the trailer and one 'super team' is Cowboys/Super Sikh/Cousins/Dancers
In the balloon we can see: Girls/Skye-Blue & Jake/ Holly & Dolor/ High School sweethearts, so that really means either Jess/Sefa are out next or they win the first class ticket.

If not, that would mean we finish next week with 7 teams left, after 9 legs.
If the 24 leg is true, that would mean 13 legs for only 4 eliminations.

There's still no confirmation on the balloons being anything to do with the T-Junction (although the logic is that it'll be Leg 9, so they are the same leg).

Next three descriptions:
Quote
At the start of the day, the teams are left speechless when Beau reveals a shock twist that will change the state of play for the entire race.

Quote
The race accelerates to new heights when the teams must attempt an epic underwater helicopter escape challenge in one of the most terrifying tests of the race so far.

Quote
When strong winds take a stunning hot air balloon ride off course, the teams brace themselves for the twists and turns of the ninth leg of the race.

The thing I'm confused about is why EVERYONE would get the hot air balloon ride. It can't be a task, it doesn't make sense as an activity during the Pit Stop. It reads more as a First Class Pass experience to me. Only logic I can think of is that the contestants do it whilst a return leg happens, but you'd have thought we'd have heard about that by now.

I think I might have solved the hot air balloon thing.

If we have an NEL Sunday (saving one team), then T-Junction Monday (with eight teams), the hot air balloon could be the winning team's reward from Leg 8. Did we only see four teams on the hot air balloon?

How will this stowaway team impact boot order?

We know that Leg 9 is T-junction with 8 teams we already identified.

So either Leg 7 & 8 are both ELs and stoway team and Sefa & Jessica are eliminated or Leg 7 is EL & Leg 8 is NEL with winners of that leg will skip Leg 9 because of First Class twist.

So there is possibility that footy mates could last only 1 or 2 legs.

My speculation revealing MJ & Chelsea in the first place was a sighting of "Yellow F/F team heading to Alice Springs". I think the latter is more likely... unless the shot of the four teams celebrating are celebrating voting them out  :groan:

Well now that we know, I remember spotting those kangaroo plushie back in those first previews!!
What I don't know is about the cousins's salvage... I didn't see ep.8 but are we sure it"s the T-Junction leg?

If so, the new teams really got lucky to win this NEL because they would have been voted out if their team lost, they don't really know the other teams much.

Also, do we know who is voted out? It seems every team except the cousins and the dancers (and also the footie mates) are not spotted after this next leg!

Travelling in style, the teams arrive in Coober Pedy via the legendary train expedition The Ghan, and are confronted by a huge surprise that will change the game.

10 sounds like the T-Junction leg. Once someone gets eliminated on leg 9, they'll have an even 4 vs. 4.

I don't see how it could be a non-elimination leg as I don't see how you could give a salvage and hazard to one of the teams considering they'll be racing in groups this next leg.

I'm guessing MJ/Chelsea are voted out which would be hilarious  :funny:

Pretty sure MJ & Chelsea make it to Port Lincoln. In the "Amazing SA" promo, we can hear a team exclaiming, "this is our home province!" while on the dunes. MJ & Chelsea are the only team from SA, so that's likely leg 12?

From the preview, it looks one one of the tasks is actually something I read about on reddit a couple months ago by chance. The Henley-on-Todd Regatta, which is like a boat race but on land.

You are right we can hear this is our home province when they are showing a video of the dune, but it doesn't mean they make it to Port Lincoln. They could say this when they open the clue telling them to take the Ghan to Coober Pedy (Which would make more sense for them to say for the first leg they go to S.A, rather than the third.

Plus with them winning the First class, we know they already make it there. So they could be eliminated at final 8 with the T-Junction.

But still with 24 episodes, that would bring 7 teams at the start of episode 11 so the Math doesn't make sense.. Unless there are still an army of stowaway teams lol

Based on the caps from E11 preview it looks like Jordan & Violetta won the leg (there was dancing challenge) and salvaged Skye Blue & Jake and sabotaged Chris & Aleisha.

I think we will loose Holly/Dollor tomorow! (Because they were not shown that much in the preview) A favorite going home means them or Jordan/Violeta but they were kind of shown in the preview a bit talking about going home so I have a bit of doubt it's them. (but again it could be). I just think that means the bodybuilders are safe.

I think we are getting then:

Leg 13: Last stowaway team joins, NEL 9 teams remain (one teams wins first class, safe from T-Junction)
Leg 14: T-Junction? 4 vs. 4, one team is out, 8 remains
Leg 15: NEL 8, teams remain

Leg 16: 8 teams in, one out  which means 7 left
Leg 17: NEL
Leg 18: 7 to 6

Leg 19: 6 to 5
Leg 20: NEL
Leg 21: 5 to 4

Leg 22 : Final elimination, 4 to 3
Leg 23: Finale part 1
Leg 24: Finale part 2

Then question remains if Leg 13 to 15 is Western Australia or NSW part 1
Leg 16/17/18 will be Tasmania
19/20/21/22 will be NSW
23/24 could be Canberra

Four teams are on the bubble - MJ/Chelsea, Bodybuilders, Holly & Dolor and Jordan & Violeta. MJ/Chelsea are immune, and the other two aren't fan-faves, so it's gotta be Jordan & Violeta.

Not sure if I'd put stock into that, this is also the same network that advertised Femi & Nick last season as the Game Changing Elimination. But yeah those four teams are all on the bubble.

With Leg 18 being an elimination Leg, that leaves five teams. So when in the world is the T-Junction happening? Could they really have just forgotten about it? They couldn't possibly have it at the Final Four. That defeats the purpose of the twist.

Could they really bring in a final Stowaway team this late? Then do the T-Junction in Leg 19? (Which at that point, you've got to vote out the last Stowaway.)

If not, they would need three more Non-Elims if it's really 24 Legs. And two of them might have to be back to back. Otherwise, every other Leg would have to be Non-Elim, including the Penultimate Leg.

Or have a Final 2 which would be pretty boring.

Not sure if a return leg is viable - this recent leg filmed November 4. Stan & Wayne were home by November 5. Maybe another double NEL-KOR combo similar to the one that spared Holly & Dolor or an NEL-NEL combo similar to the one that spared Stan & Wayne twice.

It's more the fact that we know SB&J were still around Leg 21, C&A 23 and they've guaranteed 18 will be an elimination now. The only other option if T-Junction still exists is it being at F4, in which case it's utterly ludicrous.

Based on their faces in the preview, Chris & Aleisha are shocked to survive and MJ & Chelsea are crying and have accepted their loss.
Even without spoilers/future sightings, the preview gives a fair bit away.
Not sure we know for sure the order in which Skye-Blue & Jake/Chris & Aleisha are eliminated unless someone's put together the order of sightings in NSW, especially since it seems like we have at least a couple legs wherein multiple towns are visited.
We know Skye-Blue & Jake were seen in the Hunter Valley and Chris & Aleisha are in Gulgong (?), but I don't think either were sighted in Broken Hill, the prospective penultimate leg. Narratively, though, I think Chris & Aleisha make it farther.

I'd also like to echo the sentiments about the T-Junction. The idea of having it at F4, let alone late game (if at all), is ridiculous.

Interview from Beau about the Blue Mountains leg:

Quote
With just five teams left in the competition when they arrive in the Blue Mountains, one of the challenges features extreme heights that pushed them to their limits.

Teams also experience a high tea detour at the Hydro Majestic Hotel at Medlow Bath while other destinations include the Leuralla Toy and Rail Museum.

Ryan said the Blue Mountains episode is one of his favourites from the entire season.

"It's a fantastic episode," he said. "We stayed in the Blue Mountains probably a day longer than we were scheduled because we needed to get so much done.

But the praise comes with a sting, with one of the popular teams eliminated in the Blue Mountains in a "heartbreaking" finish, said Ryan.

"The Blue Mountains one [elimination] hits me hard," he said. "All of them hit me hard in a different way.

We will be down to 4 teams by the time Leg 21 begins.

To further complicate the timing - a Pit Stop was leaked this week. This is the Mad Max Museum in Silverton, NSW, 26km away from Broken Hill, taken on November 11, 2020. The post said to "watch this Tuesday", so I'm assuming they posted this one week early and this is supposed to be the Pit Stop for Leg 21.

Ok so sorry for the triple posting but I've condensed everything we have so far lol.

Here's the schedule/rough timeline I mapped out for the rest of the Race that we have (including sightings + potential boots):

November 4 (Night):
-New Norfolk sighting + Pit Stop (Leg 17)

November 5 (Day-Afternoon):
-Third Tasmania Leg (Leg 18)
-MJ & Chelsea eliminated

November 6:
-Unknown Location, first NSW Leg (Leg 19)
-Assumed KOR or NEL with no First Class Pass, "5 teams Race in Blue Mountains"

November 7/8:
-Second NSW Leg in the Blue Mountains (Leg 20)
-Leg confirmed to be shot over at least 2 days as per Beau Interview: "We stayed in the Blue Mountains probably a day longer than we were scheduled because we needed to get so much done."
-Matches our Hunter Valley sighting time
-Detour at the Hydro Majestic Hotel at Medlow Bath
-Leuralla Toy and Rail Museum
-Empress Falls Task (Rappel seen in second promo)
-Pit Stop: Leuralla Public Gardens Amphitheatre (mat seen in second promo)
-Confirmed Elimination Leg: "One of the popular teams eliminated in the Blue Mountains in a "heartbreaking" finish" - Beau

Considering how Skye-Blue & Jake were sighted at the Crowne Plaza Hotel "checking in" with no camera crew in sight, I think this is either an overnight rest or them getting sequestered by production as our 5th Place elimination.

November 9:
-Dubbo leg (Leg 21)
-Confirmed to be directly after Blue Mountains as per Beau Interview - ďWe literally got off a bus that we drove from 4am in the Blue Mountains, arrived and then got straight into it. The locals were ready to go and were great.Ē
-Likely an NEL leg

November 10:
-Unknown

November 11:
-Alleged Broken Hill sighting
-Pit Stop preparations at Silverton, NSW (Mad Max 2 Museum) at 2:09 AM
-Chris & Aleisha sighted with a Roadblock clue in Gulgong, NSW (posted on November 11 RFF board time)

November 12-13:
-Unknown

November 14:
-Ashleigh & Amanda, Jaskirat & Anurag, and Brendon & Jackson sighted in Canberra
-Potential Sydney ending as per Beau interview: "When we got back to Sydney we finished there, and it took a couple of weeks to finish there, so we didn't have to quarantine again.

I'm taking that Sydney thing to mean they flew into it for Leg 19, not necessarily for the finale. At the time of filming, New South Wales had no quarantine requirements for interstate travel unless you were coming from Victoria, so they would indeed have had no need to quarantine after finishing the race in Canberra as we're expecting.

So are we are assuming the T Junction is not happening?

It stated that 2 superteams are formed and the losing superteam has to vote one team off. That cannot be done in a 2 vs 2 situation and next episode is definitely an elimination with no sign of a T Junction. I could possibly see it working in the final 4 where it is 2 vs 2 and the WINNING superteam votes off one team from the losing superteam. Donít like it but it is feasible. Except the articles stated it is the LOSING team that votes someone out, basically like Survivor.

Iím guessing the T Junction was planned at some point but some smart person in production was like ďLetís not be stupidĒ and thankfully got it removed.

This is complete guessing with no basis - but I feel like the T-Junction was planned for Leg 6 but scrapped after Shane & Deb were medically evacuated, leaving us with only 9 teams racing the leg after the Leg 5 winner skipped it.

Why? So many elements of the Leg 6 design feels conducive for the T-Junction, more so than any of the other legs we've seen so far:
-There was an unaired boat scramble at the start of the leg - teams didn't just get on the boat, they had to find their ferry and then answer a quiz which I assume would have led to one team winning the chance to form the T-Junction teams.
-Speaking of the boats, there was an awkward 5-4 boat split TWICE during the leg that could have very easily been 5-5 (aka a T-Junction team takes the first ferry and the other T-Junction team takes the second)
-The turtles Detour was restricted to five teams max doing it (which would have effectively forced each T-Junction team to do two different Detours)
-The Salvage and Sabotage were small enough to be non-factors - the guide barely helped Jobelle & Rani and Jordan & Violeta could remove their scuba equipment at any Detour
-The bottle collecting task was in a big enough area to fit 5 teams vs. 5 teams racing to get all their allocated bottles
-The unaired Roadblock could have been a final challenge for the T-Junction teams
-The Pit Stop is even on a big beach location perfect for its Survivor vibe; even the parchment teams got for "Take the Bottles" looked like a voting parchment

Just my guess. And to add to the speculation, the T-Junction introductory video was deleted from the 10 site shortly before the premiere.

It does seem like Leg 6 was the best time for the T Junction. It didnít have any drives/taxis and consisted of just running around the islands and taking boats that would fit 5 teams. T Junction legs would not work well with driving or taxis because the superteam needs to stay together.

Also final 10 is the best time for the T Junction because 5 is the best number for a vote and strategy session. 4 is an even number and more awkward and 3 is too small for any interesting strategy/votes.

If this is true, thank god Shane and Deb were medevaced to rid us of this atrocity!

Next leg being non elimination and the final 6 being a T-junction is possible but I still donít see why they would place it at final 6 because a vote off with 3 is not interesting. Even Survivor avoids a tribe of 3.

New addendum to the endgame timeline - Hunter Valley is confirmed to be Leg 19.

Tasks Include:
-Dressage Routine
-Tap Dogs
-Detour at Hunter Valley (making wine with grapes or picking olives)
-A "needle in a haystack" challenge (potentially a haybales-esque task) before the Pit Stop

Here's the schedule/rough timeline I mapped out for the rest of the Race that we have (including sightings + potential boots):

November 5 (Day-Afternoon):
-Third Tasmania Leg (Leg 18)
-MJ & Chelsea eliminated

November 6: Leg 19- Hunter Valley
-Dressage Routine
-Tap Dogs
-Detour at Hunter Valley (making wine with grapes or picking olives)
-A "needle in a haystack" challenge (potentially a haybales-esque task) before the Pit Stop

-Alleged Broken Hill sighting (Leg 22)
-Pit Stop preparations at Silverton, NSW (Mad Max 2 Museum) at 2:09 AM
-Chris & Aleisha sighted with a Roadblock clue in Gulgong, NSW (posted on November 11 RFF board time)

November 12-13:
-Unknown (Either this is leg 23 in NSW or rest before before the last 2 legs)

November 14:
-Ashleigh & Amanda, Jaskirat & Anurag, and Brendon & Jackson sighted in Canberra
-Potential Sydney ending as per Beau interview: "When we got back to Sydney we finished there, and it took a couple of weeks to finish there, so we didn't have to quarantine again.
[/quote]

So we are good for leg 18/19/20/21/22

The only thing left is to see if Sydney is really a leg (leg 24) or if they meant post-production was Sydney.
If Sydney is the finale, then maybe C/A won the final first class pass and the sighting in Canberra was the battle for those last 2 places.
Or it was the finale leg! I guess we will find out soon lol

Here is a list of cities Beau said was visited , from NSW:

Sydney
Newcastle (Leg 19)
Bathurst (Is this for our Blue Mountain leg 20 or is this after, on their way to Dubbo?)
Orange (same as Bathurst is this our Blue Mountain leg?)
Tooraweenah (leg 21 with Dubbo?)
Woolgoolga (Leg 19? Is this too far, how does that fit?)

If that was meant to be the T-Junction leg, it does make sense for the Survivor-style endurance Roadblock on that leg.

Also, I just noticed now but I do see a fourth typing machine in the Canberra pics... Maybe it is final 4. would they have a fourth one for fun?

It's a spare. We have confirmation on what the typewriter task is from someone production hired to provide the typewriters.

Quote
One member of each team had to stand in the House of Representatives gallery and memorise as much (in short takes) of the famous ďKerrís CurĒ speech made by former Australian Labor Party Prime Minister Gough Whitlam. The contestant hearing the speech then had to run into the typewriter room and dictate, from memory, snatches of the text. No notes could be written down, so this took several return journeys. The memorised grabs were typed by his or her teammate, and the whole speech had to be word perfect before the teams were allowed to leave the typewriting room and proceed to the front steps of Old Parliament House, where one member delivered the lines (this is where Whitlam made his speech in 1975, see image above). Only then did the typewriting test end and the teams could start thinking about their next challenge. The whole thing took almost two hours.

They cited only seeing Ashleigh & Amanda, Brendon & Jackson, and Jaskirat & Anurag. The photo with Ashleigh & Amanda alone is timestamped 12:10 PM while the shot with all three teams are at 12:28 PM. Doubt they wouldn't mention a fourth team if they were there for hours and there was a fourth team racing.

I'm guessing on one more Salvage and Sabotage while they still have 5 teams but at F4 they can't really do it anymore.

Imagine if one team gets the day off and 3 are racing, then it becomes like "Who won't get the third spot in the finale?"

I know the chances of it happening are 0.01%, but until I see it actually play out on screen, I'm choosing to believe that the pictures of the Cowboys, Gold Coast Girls, and Super Sikhs doing the typewriting task is actually from the penultimate leg and Chris & Aleisha just won the prior leg and have the First Class pass. I'm also going to further believe that this means with Chris & Aleisha actually making the final leg, that THEY are the winners of this season.  :-[

Sorry to break some unfortunate news (so basically, nothing changed :( ), but Leg 23 has been confirmed to be in West Sydney.

Either we have a Final 3 NEL for the first time since The Amazing Race 9 or Chris & Aleisha are eliminated on Leg 23.

Quote
And, on Tuesday, March 23, viewers will see The Amazing Race right here in Fairfield.

Filmed back in November, contestants have three local stops - Diem Hen Restaurant in Canley Heights, Kwan Yin Temple in Canley Vale and MingYue Lay Temple in Bonnyrigg.

The challenges for the remaining contestants celebrated Fairfield's strong Asian community.

At Diem Hen Restaurant, racers had to play Hot Vit Lon (fertilised duck egg) lazy Susan roulette, which Ryan said was one of the more difficult eating challenges this season.

The challenges at the temples saw contestants have to master a traditional Chinese fan dance, perform the ancient tradition of Kau Chim, and shake fortune sticks to reveal the code to a golden lock-box.

The Amazing Race Australia's local episode will air on Tuesday, March 23. It is the show's penultimate episode and will be followed by the finale on Sunday, March 28.

Yes. And considering how difficult the task seems to be, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the 2nd to last task of the season.

Canberra is confirmed to be the finale.

Typewriter task at Parliament House is preceded or followed by a task involving assembling puzzles of the Australian and Aboriginal flags.
Teams take helicopters to Thredbo to do more tasks.
Finish Line is at Mount Kosciuszko.

Also based off screencap analysis and team's clothes of the "Finals Week" promo:
-Chris & Aleisha are barely in the promo. But there is one shot of Aleisha with her arms stretched out in the outback riding what might be a motorcycle, so I assume that based off the Mad Max 2 Museum Pit Stop, that they at least make it to Leg 22.
-There is a task involving teams jumping through fire. All teams but Chris & Aleisha shown doing it. This might be the "completing a hell of a Hollywood stunt" for Leg 23.

This is just a blind guess with no basis, but considering how the fire jump would be very easy promo material, I don't think it's too far off to say that Leg 23 might be the first international season to have an F3 NEL since TAR Latin America.

I feel like this season would do leg 23 not as a NEL but more of a: this leg you fight for the departing order of the finale!
Like the winners of this leg gets a 20 mins lead over team 2 and 40 minutes over team 3.

Thanks to Chris's Instagram story - actual confirmation that we had two unaired Roadblocks. One on Leg 6 and one on Leg 17.

Aleisha and Jaskirat did both Roadblocks, leaving both teams to have a flat RB count of 8-8.

I think they essentially spoiled the winner, or at least the final footrace in the preview for the finale at the end of Episode 23

I know this thread is for discussing show and ad spoilers, but I'll just put it in a spoiler tag just in case. I'm not sure.

But anyway...
Show content
They show all the exhausted teams running up the mountain to where we assume the lookout where the Finish Line is.

They specifically show the Cowboys ahead of Ashleigh & Amanda and saying "They're right there! Who we doing it for?!"

Jaskirat & Anurag are only ever shown running alone, but not necessarily looking too happy.

So either a clear Cowboys win. Or 1% chance Super Sikhs were actually ahead and are the winners.

Random Lurker here but had to post this lol. I disagree, the preview clearly shows a different team winning than you're saying. Here's the team I think wins:

Show content
The cowboys say "They're right there!" not referring to Beau and the pit stop greeters, but Amanda & Ashleigh in the background who are hot on their heels.

Cowboys bottom left, Gold Coast Girls top right

Then, Brendon says "Who are we doing this for?"--the Gold Coast Girls have caught up MASSIVELY, like at least closed 75% of the distance.

I think the Gold Coast Girls win!!!!  :cheer: :luvya: :conf:

That's a fair point, but it's also worth nothing that the closing of distance occurred when the Gold Coast Girls were running seemingly downhill while the Cowboys were going uphill- this rate may change as both teams climb uphill.

You're right-- I didn't think of the downhill vs. uphill/ Hopefully the Gold Coast Girls can pull through though! I think it also really depends on how far from the pit stop they are. If there's still a lot to go, they can pass them, but if they're too close, it might not happen.
