Wow! What a day! Thanks so much to Maanca for posting all my Live Sightings while I was running madly around the city!
Just to recap everything that I saw with some timings, to supplement the photos!
- Arrived at
Hosier Lane at ~ 8:42am, where I immediately spotted (and took pictures of)
Ali & Joanna,
Daisha & Dalton and
Alejandro & Andrea. I was told by security to stop taking photos at this stage, but was more than welcome to stay and watch. Watched Ali & Joanna open their clue, which told them to
travel by tram to the MCG- I immediately started a 10 minute run to the MCG (passed Ali & Joanna) making their way to
Flinders Street Station to purchase a MYKI card. Arrived at the
MCG at ~ 9:05am and immediately spotted a cluebox outside
Gate 6- At this location, I presume there was a Roadblock where Racers had to
abseil down the MCG light towers, ala a Switchback to TAR Australia 1. Racers seemed to access the towers via the
Dick Reynolds Gate and Towers
2, 3 & 4 were being used
- I stood around for a while just observing, until I spotted
Garrett & Connor asking a pedestrian for directions. This was ~ 9:12am. I hung around in the background and confirmed with the pedestrian that they were heading to
Melbourne Park- Followed the boys to Melbourne Park, where they seemed to be lost? I wandered around the area for a few minutes until I came across a cluebox outside
Garden Square @ Rod Laver Arena around ~ 9:24am
- Spotted Garrett & Connor picking up their clue, which seemed to be a Detour. They choose the tennis option, which took place at
- Unfortunately, I needed to depart from my hunting for work, however, there is
speculation that the other side of Detour took place at
Go Kart Club of Victoria in Port Melbourne- Pit Stop occurred at the
Royal Exhibition BuildingOverall, this was nothing short of incredible. I cannot believe this day finally happened!
