As always, per RFF's practices, we do not spoil the start location (if known) or any teams until it is believed that the teams are safely underway. Looking at the flights that departed LAX last night, I'm guessing the flight was LA --> Seoul --> Bangkok, as the Seoul flight at 11:00pm was the only flight that had Thai Airlines listed, but that's just a guess.
They're going through Taipei. Not completely known if they are using two flights, but it would make sense with a task in LA and it's feasible.

34 and 35 checked off most of the non-Asian countries named in 33's planned route, so 🤞 for Nepal (and maybe Vietnam) <3

I don't have inside knowledge like the mods do however I think it's likely they circumnavigate the world westbound visiting two or three countries in Europe that 33 and 34 didn't visit (Ireland, Finland, Latvia, etc) after Asia, some African countries are possible to also be visited. I don't believe they will do legs in the US (other than the final), but I could see them visiting Canada for the penultimate leg.

They've said in the past that they don't want to because it's too similar to the US. The only place that would be good for a leg is far up north where the culture's very different.
Anywhere else is better left covered by TAR Canada.

Very likely replicate S33 route with Krabi as Leg 2
So I do think they may do a bus ride from Bangkok? (See TAR 9 with the bus terminal)
Then the Krabi leg may take like a day .

That I cannot tell you for certain, but from what I've heard we are back to pre-COVID rules and format, so I would EXPECT that they will be back to the traditional form of departure times.

Do we know they actually finished the leg at that time? Sunset in Bangkok is at around 6:46pm so it would be dark by the time they finish. And if they were on the flight speculated and raced right after getting off wouldn't that make for an 8 hour leg or even more??
I'm just asking because, wow, if that's the case lol. A far cry from the 3 hour little morning legs we saw in TAR35.

Tasks are confirmed to be harder and in more abundance this season
Fossil also overheard production as they set up earlier in the day saying the tasks are going to be harder and got the impression we are no longer in for linear legs, so expect them to be longer to fill our 90 mins mandate.

Speculation / educated guess: When I was in Nepal earlier this year, most/many fellow travellers flew in from Bangkok. If we're retracing the lost TAR 33 legs, it would make sense to have a leg in Thailand as a staging post to enter Nepal next!

The first few legs in Mexico and South America were all well thought out and going according to plan, but somewhere near the middle of the season they were going to travel to South Africa and Australia/Oceania for legs in the backhalf of the season.
Do we think it's likely they will visit South Africa since they were going to in 35? I could see them doing a leg in Cape Town and another in Stellenbosch since the last time they visited was TAR 2. I also think Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) is possible.

My guess is that they are somewhere in rural Thailand for leg 2, and that's why we aren't having sightings.
I see them heading to Singapore for leg 3, then heading to Vietnam before Nepal.
Edit: It's only been about 36ish hours from when leg 1 was reported to end, so it's possible they are just now/about to start leg 2.

I have a question. Are we going to be having 11 legs, with one of them being a Mega leg, to have the equivalent of 12 episodes? I know Phil said on Twitter awhile back that the there will be the same amount of episodes just each episode will be longer.

I'm assuming that with every leg 90 minutes, there's no more need for mega legs. Just add additional roadblocks and route infos to flesh out every leg. So 11 episodes, assuming there won't be any NELs going forward.

Andrea & Malaina were spotted doing confessionals basically immediately after the pit stop so I don't think so. Maybe Phil just wanted them out of the show bc another team was coming up.

30 and 31 started the trend of having a full extra day between legs with short distance covered (minus a megaleg or intentional keep on racing) - TAR 30 in France, TAR 31 in Vietnam and Switzerland, so I wouldn't be surprised at:
Leg 1 - July 15 - Bangkok, Vietnam
Leg 2 - July 17 - somewhere in Thailand or Vietnam
Leg 3 - July 19 - Can Tho, Vietnam
The most common way to get to Can Tho and areas surrounding it is over land (they visited Cai Be on the other side of the Mekong in TAR 3 by taxi and in TAR 15 by bus), but I suspect they might be force teams to fly to Can Tho instead, allowing Phil to get ahead of the teams on July 18th by flying to Ho Chi Minh City.

I'm assuming it's that as well. Someone brought up the possibility of teams booking their flight like with TAR 32 leaving Bogota for Manaus but in that leg they filmed tbat set up at the Pit Stop in daylight and then departed in late evening, vs here where the teams are running off the mat. If there's a long wait for a transport (TAR 28 waiting for the midnight train to Georgia, etc) they could use the time to film confessionals rather than just have teams sit somewhere for hours.

They don’t typically stay in SEA for more than 3 legs so westward towards central/south Asia and the middle east or southeast towards Australia/Oceania seems more likely.

Alex & Sheridan and Todd & Ashley were also not spotted in Vietnam. We only saw 7 teams at the pitstop in Can Tho. 11 should have been racing. Outside chance of 12 if one of the two believed Thailand legs was a non-elimination, mega-leg or KOR.
Clues were handed out at the end of this third leg, so it looks like this will be a KOR...

So that was at least six teams unaccounted for. Likely any of those six were the first two gone.

In terms of destinations Vietnam isn't the most connected in Southeast Asia; there are some long-haul flights to Europe but I doubt they go there so early and for most other locations they'll probably connect through Bangkok, Singapore or Hong Kong.
The one country that stands out is Australia, with multiple nonstop flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Melbourne and Sydney (to say nothing of that as a connection to somewhere else in Australia) and an easy path to continue westward to South Africa or any of the Persian Gulf countries.

I don’t think anyone’s denying that East Asia is out of the picture, I think it’s more so saying that both backtracking to Oceania and going westward towards Central Asia and the Middle East are both viable options at this point in time.

Production has also blocked teams from connecting through certain countries for specific legs (I believe in TAR 24 we saw the clue text mention not being able to connect through Laos for no obvious reason which caused a stir at the time) and/or required teams to connect through specific cities (TAR 14 forcing teams to connect through Moscow or Delhi or Guangzhou, even though they were suboptimate routings). Especially in post-COVID TAR where they've only just started letting teams on commercial flights, they might want to corral teams in such a way that they arrive within a specific time frame.

That's very true :tup: My only hesitation is the weirdness of the Pit Stop - teams run in, see Phil who has clues in his back pocket, run out (which suggests a keep on racing which makes sense if there's a leg in Ho Chi Minh City) but then stop and film confessionals. There's plenty of taxis and buses (it's too short a distance to fly) to get from Can Tho to Ho Chi Minh City so why potentially impede a team at the 'start' of this kind of a leg when there's likely no bunching involved?

They usually get a small break while filming a KOR . Am sure they maximized it before going to let's say " ho chi min city" (speculation) or any another city close by .its leg 4 and 4 MMs have been spotted out of 5 mms,which means that a mm will make it to leg 8 regardless . If a 5th mm is spotted,it would mean that a mm would make it to leg 9 regardless. 2 FF spotted means that a Ff team will make it to leg 6 regardless. Am I right? :duno:

I hope so as well. 2 legs in Thailand and 2 legs in Vietnam are just too similar in nature. But logically why would they make leg 3 in Vietnam a KOR (speculated) if the next leg involve long distance travel out of the region? Wouldn’t it be more logical to make either the second leg a KOR with a 3rd leg covering shorter cross-border travel distance for bunching purpose?
I know TAR22’s example existed (Bora Bora - Christchurch - Bali), but isn’t it the result of a delay in the filming date of the NZ leg, owing to bad weather condition and delayed flight arrival?

This guy is asking everyone IF they are coming. he wants a job.
His reason for thinking they are coming is faulty.
I would not count on Nepal based on his info. Sadly, one of my favorite places in the world!

Yeah I think you might be right on this one. Predicting where Phil and the crew are going next is still pretty difficult (I have used some of these places before in previous wishlists). We’d be lucky if we get a few commonly wished locations.

Yea I like Charlotte but it doesn't feel big enough for it to have a finale honestly. There's a few things to do but nothing crazy. It would be kind of easy to predict where they were going to go if they landed there. But fingers crossed because that would be really cool. I can hand deliver my app to producers :0328:

Are we sure the second Thai leg even happened? We have no photo evidence or eye witness accounts and the time between the end of leg 1 and the end of the Can Tho leg was about 2 days. I don’t think a rest period of 36-48 hours is completely unreasonable for the traveling that they did in leg 1.

Well, sadly, based on who's been turning up in India, I am pegging Elizabeth & Iliana and Morgan & Lena as either the first two teams eliminated, of two of the first three. Alex & Sheridan also have yet to turn up, so maybe they're the third, unless someone seen in Vietnam got the boot instead.

So with the list of eight teams listed being seen, only five teams are unaccounted for: Andrea & Malaina, Victor & Jocelyn, Greg & John, Alex & Sheridan, and Elizabeth & Iliana.
Because of Iliana's social media activity, we know that Elizabeth & Iliana are gone for sure. Likely first or second out.
With Victor & Jocelyn, Andrea & Malaina, and Greg & John's sighting in Vietnam, that at least takes them past the second elimination.
With Alex & Sheridan unaccounted for in Vietnam, that means that they're out before that point. Either first or second to go.

Algiers would be a route-saving godsend versus another tired Moroccan revisit should Tunis be somehow unavailable.
In the meantime, one will have to tolerate the likelihood of Leg 6 staying in India.

If they plan to go to Africa Rwanda is also a good country to visit seeing how the country has been advancing really quickly. But the fact that the country is increasingly English friendly is a huge drawback.

Usually TAR had had teams connect through Delhi or Mumbai to leave India; in either case (or if they use Dubai as a connection), much of Africa and Europe become viable.
I will note that TAR usually goes to the Netherlands every 3-4 seasons or so (plus BvM loves it) - since the last visit was TAR 31 (and before that TAR 27) maybe it's a destination to watch for?

Not in this case. Their activity was recent, around the time of the India legs. They clearly took their phones with them, but got them back from production.

This is also COMPLETE speculation but I’m guessing that Andrea & Malaina are team #2 because one of them is holding up a #2. So Greg & John would either be team #1 or team #3. Again, pretty much just speculating for my own enjoyment hahaha

This was the Pit Stop for the first half of the mega-leg. There was still a second half to do, amd Victor & Jocelyn could've caught up. That's why we're not quite counting them out or both of Greg & John and Andrea & Malaina in just yet. Unless, of course, Greg & John and Andrea & Malaina were in the upper half of the standings and Victor & Jocelyn in the lower standings by the midpoint, and the latter team just couldn't catch up afterwards.
But till then, we're not jumping to any conclusions until we spot at least one of those teams on leg seven (if that can even happen).
Is it confirmed that it was a megaleg/KOR leg? Or could it have been a situation like in 32 where they got clues to book with Expedia for the next leg? Or even like in 32 and 35 where we had a KOR with an elimination.
There were ten stations on leg five, so it is more than likely a mega-leg in Vietnam. Eleven teams on both halves of the leg.

These two are the loveliest in person when they were boarding I immediately asked them if they were filming amazing race. And they were like “ How did you know”? Haha

Looking at some more of their tweets, they were a flight attendant on a flight from Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok to Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam. They said they only saw about 5 teams on that flight (chance there were multiple flights!) but that it was late at night. Finally they also said Steve/Anna asked them for directions to get to the bus station to their next pit stop.
So no new information here since the flight was from Thailand to Vietnam but thought the info was interesting

not much sightings in this season compared to previous seasons i tried to find something in social medias but no luck :zz:

Since legs usually take place every other day this season, leg 6/7 (we don't know if Vietnam was 2 legs with a No-Rest Pit Stop or a Mega leg with a fake Pit Stop) probably started today. If we don't have sighting by tomorrow, then I believe they're somewhere rural. Whether that be Europe or Africa, I don't know.
Hopefully, we get something soon. I hope for an African country that has never been visited and/or an African country that hasn't been visited since the early days of the Race.

In terms of Switchbacks, it seems more like 21's in Moscow than 6's atop Mt. Hua, i.e. a midgame European Roadblock versus an endgame Asian one.

Frankfurt to Cologne via Rüdesheim am Rhein is more than a 3 hour drive. If teams have trouble with directions it could be even 4 or more.
That type of lengthy drive isn't something we see often on modern TAR. I'm happy to see it though but I'm a bit cautious if that's really only one leg.
That much distance makes me think that it is two legs possibly.

They did a 3 hour drive in leg 5 of 33, so I do think them flying into Frankfurt, then driving to do a task in Rüdesheim am Rhein, then driving to Cologne in 1 leg is possible and likely.

Final 5 usually, but there are the exceptions. I think almost all of us have no idea if U-Turns are back, so I believe if they're back that there's one ahead.

This is just speculation, but I don't think they're filming inside the airports this season. Our only airport sighting all season was of those few teams at LAX getting tickets leg 1 and after that nothing. We usually get quite a few airport sightings inside LAX too. No other sightings inside any other airport or teams running out of any airport. It feels odd for a non-charter season. A lot of the drama on the show happens in the airports so if my theory is right, why aren't they filming in the airports?

We were vacationing in Europe in May, and we were in Rudesheim! There is a great museum that would be an ideal place for TAR, Siegfried's Mechanical Music Museum, also known as Siegfried's Mechanisches Musikkabinett. They have a lot of very vintage restored musical machines that play many instruments, some hundreds of years old. We thought it was great! I would love to see them have a task there. It's highly recommended as those machines are amazing and play some great music.

I do think the lack of airport sightings is weird, but in the LAX sighting the cameras are filming the teams though right? So if it was a conscious decision to not film in airports then I don't know why it would be allowed in LAX and not allowed anywhere else. I would THINK the large crowd of people in bright clothes and backpacks would be enough to get a sighting if the right people are around regardless of if they are filming. I'm not sure if the filming in airports would be connected to the lack of airport sightings.

If my theory is right, then I think they were filming the ticket counter in order to show the audience that the charter flight is gone and possibly bc teams were on different flights with first come first serve and then possibly they turned off the cameras after (or as they went through TSA).
As for the colorful clothes thing, I don't think I personally would think much of it unless I saw cameras around them. Again, just speculation. The episodes could air and prove me wrong or maybe we'll even get an airport sighting at some point before the season ends that would prove me wrong. I hope I'm wrong.

The schedule was a travel day on June 26 and a leg on June 27, wasn't it? It really should've been the first Germany leg yesterday unless a leg really did happen out of anyone's sight.

Doesn't the KOR non-elimination (Vietnam) mean that with a 12 leg race there wouldn't be another non-elimination leg? So I don't see how a mega leg is possible at this point considering the first half technically is a "non elimination"

It could be either :duno: Even if it is another leg in Germany or somewhere nearby (Luxembourg, Netherlands, Belgium, etc), there's no real pattern to how they've filmed the prior legs this season; the two speculated legs in Bangkok took place over two days (6/15, 6/16), the two speculated legs in Vietnam took place over one day (6/19) and the two speculated legs in Jaipur filmed over three days (6/22, 6/24).
The last few times they've had legs in Germany there's been a day gap (or more) prior to the following leg - in TAR 34 it was for COVID testing (may have filmed the next day otherwise), 32 had a long-haul flight to Kazakhstan, and 26 and 22 both had longer Pit Stops to get Phil ahead of teams. My gut is thinking it's a rest day and they're driving to Belgium tomorrow but I wouldn't be surprised at anything that comes up.

Something interesting but probably unrealistic: We know there was a clue box at the Hohenzollern bridge in Cologne which has locks all around it, and there is also a bridge in Ljubljana which also happens to have locks on it. It would be cool if there was some type of task connecting the two bridges. Even if it's something minor like receiving a key in Cologne to use in Ljubljana, or it could be a real task where they need to remember some part of the bridge in Cologne to help them find a clue in Ljubljana

I think we should not rule out the possibility of train travel.
An overnight train from Stuttgart departed at 20:29 can arrive Ljubljana at 08:09 tomorrow morning. It is not hard to travel from Cologne to Stuttgart by car or train connection.

I know TAR's mottos is "12 shows in 21 days" but they almost never actually get done within 21 days lol. Most modern seasons take between 23 and 26 days. This season will likely be the same.

Depends on the season; as with all sightings there's an element of luck in who spots the groups of two and makes the mental connection to The Amazing Race though it tends to be easier on seasons with recognizable people (25, 28 and 31 all had sightings in airports or flights during the final leg).
Coming in from Europe there's a decent number of nonstop flights into the US (in particular LHR, CDG and FRA if they double back), though that may not necessarily indicate where they came from or where they're going. Prior to a few days ago I was thinking was a concerted effort to avoid countries visited in charter flight era TAR but that's out the window now lol.

I was looking through Instagram stories for both Kranjska Gora and Planica all day and didn't find anything. Probably another leg of no sightings. Guess they must've have driven there since that's over an hour away from the train station.
Also interesting they had a clue box outside of the train station instead of just having the next clue box being at Kranjska Gora or Planica.

All those potential destinations are too far from the Southern region to reach in time for Jaipur; Occam's Razor, it's just a Ho Chi Minh City revisit with an outside chance of Cai Be.

I am not sure what the carpentry task in Ljubljana concerned, but it may have involved a Klopotec, a traditional wooden device, similar to a windmill or weathervane, used to scare birds from vineyards. With the task guide looking like a farmer and the wooden boards having multiple pegs, this could be an element of Leg 9.

I'm rooting for Parent/Child teams to make it to the Final 3, but if this is all about physical, we might have an All Male Final 3 for the first time.
I'm rooting for Rob & Corey and Steve & Anna. We haven't had a Parent/Child win (last one was Dave & Connor) or let alone make the Finale (last one was S.28 with Sheri & Cole).
The Slovenian Legs may have been a very physical one. I applaud the ladies for making it this far especially 2 FF teams over 40.

No. They fly back home once eliminated. Only the final 4 boot, and maybe the final 5 boot, stays with them and flies to the finale city. All other boots are flying home and then later flown out to the finale city once it's time for it.
This started during TAR 33 2.0.
TAR33 1.0 did have a Sequesterville in Portugal. Michael & Moe and Arun & Natalia talked about spending a few days there. But since COVID they've just been sending teams home right away where they're free to use their phones. Hence why we're getting social media spoilers for 35 and 36 for the first time ever.

It isn't the city. It's the area. We knew it was 'around Bangkok' but we have since discovered the locations are in the Nakhon Pathom province, nearest the Thaiyawat area.

I think they might be burnt out from Central/South America after TAR 35.
That said, since Cologne was visited apparently countries from 34 are fair game to be revisited. I doubt France will host a leg due to the riots (even if they are currently winding down) and another penultimate leg in Iceland would be a little too soon...Spain perhaps? The last two times they stayed in Andalusia but there's still Barcelona, Pamplona, Madrid, Basque Country, etc etc. all of which can connect to the US pretty easily.

I'd repeat this. F4 should visit Ireland. There's Dublin, Limerick, Killarney, Cork, Galway, & Kilkenny. Also, this would be a time to feature a Harry Potter-themed scene which is Cliffs of Moher in County Clare. :)x

Exactly, we've had so many United Kingdom legs (love em) but multiple visits to London... they could have gone eslewhere. Ireland is literally there.

I suddenly remembered. S.35 had 2MM in the Finale. The remaining MM's are different tho, but am rooting for Steve & Anna. Would love for a Parent/Child to win. Father/Daughter's on TAR US are rare to make the end.
But then again it's out of my control, so I'll just sit back and watch, whether it be Steve & Anna + 2 MM's or 3 MM's in the Finale.

At long last, the U-Turn is finally back. I've seen somewhere on this forum, the tasks are harder. A U-Turn will certainly trip up the reciepient.

The final country of a route is typically somewhere with easy access back to the US. Obviously the riots in France will keep them out of there (it's the #1 visited European country by seasons, so it won't be too missed), so the UK seems like a good candidate.
A 2nd visit to Ireland proper would be nice, agreed.

I also find it wild how I predicted this season was going to have legs in undervisited European countries (though I might’ve mixed up Balkans and Baltics), I even got the penultimate city/country correct. Time will tell if I correctly predicted the end city

TAR30, 31, 32, and 34 visited 6 locations/had 5 tasks (some unaired) so with only 3 teams and 90-minutes to fill I'm assuming it could be as many as possibly 8 locations/6 tasks.

Based on sightings in Dublin and the suspected timeline of when they landed/checked in, I'm thinking they really jam packed that leg with tons of tasks. I would imagine they do the same thing here

I was thinking tonight and came up with a production theory. With 90 minute episodes there will need to be many tasks for later legs to fill up airtime with less teams racing. So what if the reason we had a lot of countries having two legs early on is because each location has more tasks than usual so it is easier to have an earlier country be “split” into two legs and have many tasks fit into one leg later on.
To visualize my point since it might be confusing: (Using random numbers) Let’s say the first half of the season has 4 tasks per leg. That would be 8 per country overall. While let’s say the Ireland and US legs have 7 tasks each.

The leg has only been going for about 5-6 hours right? I think it's possible it could still be going, especially if there's a Memory Task and it's difficult. We've allegedly had several 8+ hour legs this season.
It is officially after midnight though in Seattle so that's kind of late, but they also willingly started a bit later.

Where might they have gone after the glass blowing stop? It they were looking for another high elevation task they could've gone to Columbia Center in downtown that is a 76 story building or possibly the Big Wheel Ferris Wheel on the waterfront. If they got out of the downtown area a possible stop might have been the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field. With the finish well after dark I would speculate that it was an indoor finish. They may have backtracked to Climate Pledge Arena at the Seattle Center home of the Seattle Kraken who happen to have Jerry Bruckheimer as one of the owners of the team as well as an executive producer for the Amazing Race. Question: with only 11 legs being shown on the 35 timeline and us having no sighting of the potential leg 4 for 36, is it possible that with the addition of 13 teams they have decreased to 11 legs to have 0 NELs? If this is the case then there would be just 1 leg in Vietnam and the clues that they were seen given after was for a Travelocity App Product Placement to book their flights for the next leg (like how our sightings in Colombia in 32 we saw teams get the clue to do the Product Placement sequence and not because it was KOR).

I was looking at the CBS fall schedule and they have a 90-minute slot for The Amazing Race. Since season 35 was shot and cut for 60-minute episodes can we safely conclude that Season 36 (shot for 90-minute episodes) will air in the fall instead of 35? Has anyone heard anything official on this?

There's definitely twelve legs. In Jaipur 1, 8 teams were sighted, only missing Greg & John (who we know made the final leg), Andrea & Malaina and Jocelyn & Victor. There were 10 stations sighted in Jaipur 1 for the Detour, so one of these teams was eliminated.
Andrea & Malaina checked in at the same time as Greg & John and then walked away from the mat together with Greg & John, suggesting neither team was eliminated (to say nothing of the social media spec). Jocelyn & Victor appeared to be celebrating as they ran to the mat and I have to assume a team cheering at the sight of Phil isn't getting eliminated. There's a small chance J/V were eliminated and just well-adjusted but I think the far easier explanation is they too were not eliminated here and there's an extra leg before India.
As far as whether Leg 4 in Vietnam or elsewhere, if they're going to a different country Phil still has to be able to get ahead of teams to film standups in this new country, film the leg (probably on 6/20) AND get ahead of the teams en route to India (also probably by leaving on 6/20 vs teams departing on 6/21). One consistent pattern this season is at least one calendar day separating legs in different countries, which would make the timing too narrow for a leg in another country.

Mega leg in Germany seems the most logical to me at this moment given that teams were spotted in two relatively far away locations.
Also, this fits the general pattern of 2 legs in one country established since Season 34:
Thailand (x2) - Vietnam (Megaleg) - India (x2) - Germany (Megaleg) - Slovenia (x2) - Sweden - Ireland
Excited to have 13 episodes for a TAR season since TAR11 :welcome: TAR ‘35’ then has the record of the longest run time of any TARUS season with all episodes being 90-minute long :clap2:

September 27th to December 13th is 12 weeks, which lines up with the 12 legs speculated in the race timeline.
The 3 hour Survivor finale will be on December 20th, which is consistent with the previous four survivor seasons all having 13 episodes.

The U-Turn is in Jaipur! I think it makes sense that one leg takes place in the hills around Amer (perhaps the leg with the rappelling and teams riding in to Amer Fort on elephants; although if the pot-balancing Roadblock took place inside the fort then I'm not sure if we'd see a second Roadblock in the same leg) and another takes place in the city of Jaipur, with a task relating to flower garlands and cycling (see the next screencap).

Assuming a 'normal' Survivor season, Survivor 45's three hour finale will likely be December 20, so TAR would need to end by that point. 12 episodes leads to a finale date of December 13, while 13 eps means TAR (or Survivor) would have to take a week off right before the final, killing any excitement for it.
It's possible though they could fill tasks in both Rudeshem and Cologne within a single 90 minute episode, especially since there will be fewer teams by that point.

The Mega leg in Vietnam seems to have a fake Pit Stop as the halfway point, so I'm hoping my message to Pat asking them to stop telling teams when Mega legs occur and to bring back the fake Pit Stop for it worked!

A: a surprise additional task to perform like in London in 31 (I don't recall seeing a roadblock in any of the press pics)
B: A ballot for the voting U-Turn (perhaps to submit at the end of leg 4 to have effect on leg 5 since the express pass expires before that). Admittedly this one is a stretch.

To add onto that theory: in one of the sneak peaks you can see the first 8 teams to reach the first location (picking up the bundles). The likely candidates are Robbin & Chelsea since they've been burning bridges for the last 3 legs, or Steve & Anna Leigh for being the current frontrunners. I feel like we're being set up for the former.

Coming in from Frankfurt... unless it was the other way around?
I think teams land in Frankfurt, have to drive to Rudeshein am Rhine for the castle task (and maybe another task?)
Then drive to Cologne for the Football task (maybe a FF?), the bridge task and then we know the Chocolate Museum is our pitstop.
I think it's just a long leg, old school style, with a lot of driving!

Rudesheim am Maine to Cologne is roughly 164km distance (2h30 travel time); they've covered that distance in single-length legs before (TAR 33 Leg 5 comes to mind) and even if the driving causes teams to spread far apart they're bunch on the train to Slovenia (much like in TAR 32 with Kaylynn & Haley being hours behind everyone in France). I'm inclined to say it's one long leg.

Well we knew Steve & Anna Leigh was eliminated in F4 Ireland leg so they're 100% made it to Slovenia. We could've been totally out of dark on 8th-5th place order had WRP restricted any form of social media activities on eliminated teams until the race was over.

If Socerb Castle is indeed the pit stop, I have to assume it's for Slovenia 2 for the same reason stunami mentioned: it's an hour away from Ljubljana in the opposite direction to the Planica Valley which held some of the tasks in Slovenia 1 (the cluster of dots in the middle are the known locations in Ljubljana, the train station, Dragon Bridge and Congress Square, all within 2km of each other):

While the Germany leg does have a lengthy self-driving component it's a fairly straight shot from Frankfurt to Rudesheim am Main to Cologne, rather than the doubling back that would potentially happen here. I suspect the Pit Stop for Slovenia 1 will be somewhere near the Nordic Centre, and the first clue for Slovenia 2 will send teams back to Ljubljana to the cluebox at Congress Square.

2) If the Detour is in fact the mustard/ball kicking task, it looks like Todd and Ashlie switch at some point since they're seen performing both tasks.
3) It looks like Germany is also in fact just one single episode/one single leg. A very long leg, but just one. So this season is probably only 12 episodes, unless Sweden had an extra F5 KOR leg or something.
4) I'm worried this might be an obvious elimination of Andrea and Malaina falling out of the running very quickly with no tension of them catching up. The only content from them we have is them driving and Andrea doing the initial castle Roadblock. After that they have absolutely nothing where the other teams all have at least a few other things. Not looking good for them, sadly. :'(

Both the mustard and football tasks are within 200m of the Pit Stop, so I'm thinking those would come at the end of the leg instead.
Teams get their medals at the costume/horse task (see Joel/Garrett's press photo), and we see teams wearing their medals at both the bridge and Detour options, so agree that this would be the first task in Cologne.

There was no reason for them to include the notebook scene last ep unless it mattered since it was resolved so quickly and had no impact on the actual leg (unlike the fanny pack in ep 2) I'd say they win out on the memory task. There was no reason for them to include the notebook scene last ep unless it mattered since it was resolved so quickly and had no impact on the actual leg (unlike the fanny pack in ep 2) I'd say they win out on the memory task. If Phil mentions this on the Previously On next week i'd say it's near 100%
Phil has been mentioning them in the Next Time/Previously On recap several times even though theyre not quite relevant to the story + theyve been a middle of the pack team except for Germany. They realistically should be getting a Robbin & Chelsea type edit but the show loves to highlight J&G

I've noticed it as well, I don't even think it's because they want them to be fan favourites or anything, it's just "Joel and Garrett did this" and "Joel and Garrett did that" we're just always reminded that there in the race

well we know the order of the next 3 eliminations thanks to spoilers/social media activity but i think the final 3 placements are probably right

As for the F3, It's down to Greg & John and Joel Garrett. David vs Goliath.
I don't see any storyline from Rob & Corey so they are 3rd.
In terms of Winner's edit, I think it's Joel & Garrett. The fact that they highlighted the notebook last leg and if i remember correctly, one of their confessionals in 2nd India Leg, they said they wanted to get rid of Steve & Anna Leigh before going to the end.

I feel like the edit is starting to highlight Greg & John getting really cocky, i can see them falling at the final hurdle or getting a distant 3rd but i think we can safely rule them out of winning by this point

I wonder if Steve gets stuck with the Roadblock and that's why they go out in Dublin. After seeing the way Anna Leigh dragged him panting and puffing up 1,100 stairs for no reason, I can't see him being the kind of guy who'd excel at an Irish jig.

idk, but i do think leg 9 editing feels like it hints/foreshadows their downfall on the final leg, and we have also this unique record of Justin & Diana not winning TAR despite having tremendous five wins in a row, so it may possibly happen

Yeah, I have a feeling we're getting set up for Joel & Garrett to be the new Josh & Brent. The notebook scene last week was such an insignificant thing to include that it's almost like their Chekhov's Gun (which means in storytelling, any plot element introduced must come into play by the third act... in this case, a final memory challenge)

This is a terrible take. If you rewatch an old season, you know who is winning but you still watch it because the journey of getting there is exciting. You have spoiled yourself on the entire season, and yet you still watch. Why? Because it's entertaining.

From the press photos, it looks like the final memory task of placing Roadblock prompts and Detour choices on kayaks is at the Kenmore Air base in Kenmore, not the Lake Union base as we previously thought.
