Interesting  Las Vegas??????

Well if they did end in Las Vegas on the 18th of December, how convenient.  A great place to hide the racers that day.  There was big Race that day, pre-holiday Santa run 5K.  How clever would that be, who would even notice some people running to the mat, great place to get lost among all the other actual racers. :)*

Well, not that this helps much but I can tell you where they did not go:  LAX

I just remembered that I was there on the 18th.  Specifically from noon to 3 pm at Terminal 5.

Any other Holiday travellers out there?  We could create a destination by elimination!

Lucy, Chateau: You're something else

Las Vegas, since it would be a tie-in to Travelocity's promotion on the cbs.com Amazing race website

New York, since there were possible decoys the day before.

Either would be good since it looks to be a night time finish (lots of lights in both places).

I just want to say one more thing and then get back to the spoilers
TheBlob- Once Rob and Amber are on the race CBS can not make them win, they can get them on but once on its out of there hands.   If it was rigged that is against the law and the show could go off the air.  No Way would it be rigged for RA specially when the producers did not want them there.

And you can think RA were boring but nobody is talking about BG, LA, MG, ect its teh Rob and Amber show and you can think what you want they made they biggest impact there is not other way to put it.  LA were annoying and jealious of RA there werent funny at all. BG were meatheads.  Meredith and Gretchen were great but you know what they lost.  At least we have some cut throat teams in teh final three that want to win.  Had it been BG/LA/MG it would have been boring!!! And all lovy dovey.

Everyone i am sorry for going off topic but TheBlob saying it was rigged for Rob and Amber to win just infuriated me and i had to say something becuase he is wrong.  He obviously does not like them and does not like they are doing good so has to say its rigged to make him feel better.

Just bringing over a summary spoiler post from Prior Walter from TWOP:

I mentioned earlier that I don't know anything about the cities or tasks, and I'm not gonna pretend to. What I know about the cities comes from looking here on this spoiler board. I didn't even know they were going to Jamaica and Puerto Rico until reading it here.

I'll post a summary of everything I got from my friend:

-Ron and Kelly ended their relationship prior (ha!) to the final leg.
-Kelly subsequently struggled with keeping her heart in the race.
-U/J are last in the first leg of the finale, and lose all their money and their belongings
-Rob and Amber establish a substantial lead in the last leg
-Amber rocks the roadblock
-U/J make a time costly error that they never recover from
-Rob and Amber win, and it is not close

Hey Never0102 there is a cameraman and some inside sources that say otherwise,  there will be a big bomb that will drop after the final episode airs.  Get ready for it.

Never0102 how ____ are you, Rob and Amber are still on the show so people are going to talk about them.

Hey, we are getting way off the subject here. This thread is not to praise nor criticize any race team. There are seperate threads for that.

Here we are trying to figure out where the teams are going, what they are doing there, and why they are flying around the Caribbean without rhyme nor reason, or so it seems.

Let's keep our nose to the grindstone here; go over to sucks or some such place if you want to bitch and whine.

Exactly , there are plenty of threads below that you can state your feelings for who you love or hate or whats fair and whats not *whatever* and flaming other posters by calling them names is not allowed  , if you want to flame a team please do so in a differerent topic , not here .

Back on topic: not much to add ,  I just saw a short promo .. lack of challenges just flashbacks of the remaining three and a clearer close up shot of Ron jumping from the bridge like structure   }}{ .

Got that right geeze some people need to get over it.  They were on the race, they are in the final three! We need to get passed that its been what three months on the race already we need to honestly give them a break and stop saying its rigged so they do good just becuase people dont like them.

Anyway back to spoilers.
I am a Rob and Amber fan and if they do win that great but i just think the UJ win is just so much more "inspirational" and Phil would make it his fav. season unless he liked Rob and Amber of course. Uchenna and Joyce shaved there heads and that = good luck.  They have never won a prize and the first prize they win the jackpot, and plus the enter the leg with nothing and come out on top i just think UJ winning would just make the best show.

I am sure the guy at TWop has a great source but i am going to have to trust the betting thing on this one, i mean he might be right and more power to him  but i think the UJ win would just be so much better and didnt Phil say in a interview this season was "inspirational" or i am just thinking of a wrong thing.

The only thing against UJ i think is in this weeks Entertainment Weekly in the Must List is says "Former Enron and World Com employees Uchenna and Joyce (above) seen to be the faves to snag the big mil.  In-Ter-Est-Ing"  Now i dont know but does this mean they will one or loose, last week Rob and Amber we in the must list and came in first place the next leg but there was not mention of winning in there blurb.  Charla and Mirna, and Jon all Al were also mentioned and in the next episode they lost.  But i dont know i just got the vibe that they lost from this little blurb but we will see.

I have been trying to nail down a loose end:

Could the clip of happy R&A seated in flight be their trip from London to Jamaica?

From AirWise, the flights from London to Jamaica on Tuesday, December 14th were these:
Flight   Dep LHR        Arr KIN   Connect   (wait)   Flight   Aircraft
BA0207   9:45 am      5:05 pm   MIA 2:35 hrs   DL8864   744/320
BA0207   9:45 am      5:09 pm   MIA 2:40 hrs   AA1733   744/738
AA0057   10:20 am     5:05 pm   MIA 1:45 hrs   DL8864   777/320
AA0057     10:20 am     5:05 pm   MIA 1:50 hrs   AA1733   777/738
JM 0002     4:25 pm      9:20 pm MBJ (8:10 Arr)   1 stop   340

And for Wednesday, December 15th were these:
Flight   Dep LHR         Arr KIN   Connect   (wait)   Flight   Aircraft
BA0207   9:45 am      5:05 pm   MIA 2:35 hrs   DL8864   744/320
BA0207   9:45 am      5:09 pm   MIA 2:40 hrs   AA1733   744/738
AA0057   10:20 am      5:05 pm   MIA 1:45 hrs   DL8864   777/320
AA0057     10:20 am      5:05 pm   MIA 1:50 hrs   AA1733   777/738
BA2263     10:55 am LGW   2:30 pm non-stop                      777
JM 0002    12:50 pm     5:45 pm MBJ (4:35 Arr)   1 stop   340

Using SeatGuru I found that, with only one exception, none of the aircraft involved in these flights has the 2-4-2 configuration in the main body of the plane.  The exception was the Airbus 340 of Air Jamaica (I looked at the Airbus 340 for Air France on the Guru site).

So it’s not yet a certainty that the promo clip is their flight to Miami.  That clip could be them on the December 15th flight to Jamaica (can’t be the 14th due to daylight coming in the windows).  But, since that light is coming in the right side of the plane the plane must be flying north in the morning, east in the mid day, or south in the late day.  That kind of rules out a mid day flight from London to Jamaica.  I’m leaning toward the flight to Miami.

One thing that would also help to figure this out is the uniform type of the flight attendant and the decor of the cabin.  Wouldn’t Air Jamaica’s be different from American Airlines’?

I'm leaning toward a flight to San Juan.  Rob and Amber are wearing the same clothes in every original vidcap.  Whether it's Jamaica or Puerto Rico.  That could mean that they fly to Jamaica and then fly to Puerto Rico where the pit stop is.  If the NEL pit stop was in Jamaica, I think Rob and Amber would have changed their clothes.

About the much debated "Rob" in the background of the Ron pic:

Over at Sucks (page 165 of the spoilers) there is a pic of Rob in San Juan airport wearing shorts! So the guy in the background of Ron's pic is not Rob (unless he changed his pants before getting on the plane but they look like they are in a hurry so I doubt they'd  waste the time)

I really don't think that this is a flight from London. The people seem very "dressed down" and typical if they were leaving the cold of London that day.  And Rob and Amber are dressed very lightly (Amber has her "a" tee shirt on and Rob has shorts - not exactly the stuff you wear in London that morning, and the clothes do match the Puerto Rico airport shot of them running toward the AA gate. So my guess is that this is a American Airlines flight from San Juan SJU to Miami MIA.

There are a bunch of other flights which I didn't bother to note before, but it could be that the flights listed by Chateau all land just before sunset at 5:33PM which doesn't leave much daylight to do any of the tasks we see them doing in daylight, and there are other flights leaving later in the afternoon and early evening which with connections arrive around noontime the following day which would give them plenty of time to complete two or three tasks before darkness sets in.  We have one shot of Ron running up to what may be Fort Charles in Kingston after dark.

And I think that they must catch flghts from London to Jamaica on Dec. 14. Arriving after dark they would have to wait to the morning of the 15th to start. If they actually have a 36-hour pitstop in London and fly out on the 15th they would be pretty hard pressed to complete tasks in Jamaica on the 16dth with pitstop. Then fly to Puerto Rico on the 17th to complete another Detour and Roadblock and get to the PR airport early the morning of Dec. 18.

They are speculating at realitytvworld that the Regis & Kelly interview could indicate that the final pit stop might be at a Disney location. Maybe Disney World in Orlando? A poster there says Rob and Amber will be there Tuesday night through Friday, which wouldn't make sense if they had to be in NY for The Early Show on Wednesday (which all teams do, not just the winners). Would The Early Show do a live interview on location at Disney?

So, that's where the Jamaica spoiler comes from. Since there is a big gap between teams there, I guess it must be close to the end of the leg.
