And, we ended the day, after a spectacular Greek dinner, with XXX trying to help two Australian "Amazing Race Australia" contestants. We saw three others go by our restaurant, and as we were walking to our ride back to the hotel, these young ladies came by looking for directions. Another (local) couple was able to help.

Beau Ryan has been taken out by COVID during the filming of the latest season of THE AMAZING RACE AUSTRALIA

Crew are being left behind in isolation as the production pushes on to meet the rugged schedule.
TV Blackbox has learned the shoot for the sixth season of The Amazing Race Australia is being thrown into chaos as positive cases and isolation requirements take out production crew, a supervising producer, and even host Beau Ryan.

As members of the crew continue to get caught up in testing issues they are being left behind to self-isolate in hotels as the production moves on to the next country and location.

To cover for the host and his need to isolate, US-based presenter and long-time friend of 10 Scott Tweedie has been called up to host some legs in Ryan’s absence.

The US version of the franchise opted to cease the race entirely during the filming of its thirty-third season in February 2020, picking up again 18 months later in September 2021 due to the initial outbreak of COVID-19. When it resumed significant steps including the use of private planes and regular testing were introduced to ensure everyone’s safety and reduce risk of infection.

A spokesperson for Network 10 told TV Blackbox:

“There have been a small number of positive COVID cases detected within the production of The Amazing Race Australia, but filming on the upcoming season has not been impacted.

The crew that are affected are in isolation while the production continues.”

No comment was offered regarding any person’s specific COVID status.

The Australian production changed the filming of the fifth season to become domestic-only travel in 2020 to deliver a season in 2021 for 10.

I hope all affected cast & crew recover without serious side effects. It's scary with a lot of countries opening up while the virus is still out there.

Teams are in Bogota Colombia!!!!!!

Ok- this was a thrill! We went on a “graffiti” tour in the La Candelaria district of Bogota and came across 3 teams racing for The Amazing Race Australia!!! This team walked into us and asked our tour guide Jose for help!! Wow! Beau also posted a now-deleted Instagram story. This is at the Cartagena airport. Three potential Colombia legs (Bogota, Cartagena, Medellin) and I think he may be back to take the reins back from Scott. Scott was seen back in LA as recent as yesterday.
