As far as I am aware, there haven’t been any direct eyeball sightings of the teams period since filming was resumed. Everything has essentially based on the plane! The plane! 🛫🛫

I guess we have to follow the whole titan fleet to figure out which plane and where they go to next since they are switching planes

Here is a good link:
https://www.radarbox.com/data/airlines/AWC

ZT901 was LA->Zurich
ZT902 was Milan->Corsica
ZT903 was Corsica->Thessaloniki
So next one will be ZT904?

AWC904 is departing in 10 minutes.

https://flightaware.com/live/flight/GPOWN

It's bound for Thessaloniki.

https://www.flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/g-pown

 :cheer: almost time to find out where they are off to next
The first plane we were following, the one where an image of it was captured in LA with the Amazing Race tattooed on it front side, sat in London for over a week. It finally left London Mon 1:15PM  BST. It appears to have done a quick ~2hr stop in Manchester and then landed in Paris Mon 6:13PM CEST. It just left Paris today Wed at 2:49PM CEST and it is now parked back in London as of Wed 4:14PM BST.
So, did they maybe run a leg in Paris?
Maybe search Paris social media accounts to see if anyone saw anything ‍♂️

So do we think Portugal is next?  Travel from the US to Spain is allowed as long as they are vaccinated, so we might want to keep our eyes peeled for them just driving over the border (or production chartering a bus).  I'm still doubtful we'll get a Europe-only route, I sense that after leg 7 or 8 they'll head to Asia, Africa, SA, or North/Central America.

Are we sure about Lisbon? Backtracking to Western Europe seems odd.

We don’t know if Portugal will be a location but it looks likely that at the very least they will be flying to the Lisbon airport (could be for a leg or a flight connection)

A connection in Lisbon could mean Azores or Madeira (both Portuguese islands, which would jive well with what we’ve seen thus far - that being EU areas that are somewhat remote), or Lusophone African countries like Cape Verde or São Tomé and Príncipe.

I'd love a Cape Verde visit. Lisbon has flight connections there.

Pretty sure teams would be getting off and racing in Lisbon. There isn't a need for the private charter to stop there otherwise.
Of course, this doesn't exclude the possibility of going somewhere else from Lisbon afterwards.

Looks like this run of TAR is going to be The Amazing Schengen Race!

If Portugal is treated like Greece or France has so far, we should focus on lesser visited, rural areas. Places like Braga, Coimbra, Évora, Faro and Lagos might be worth focusing on. I would also expect something more inland if both Corsica and Greece are to be treated as “Mediterranean beach” themed legs. This might be harder, especially if they visit extremely small towns in the interior Portuguese countryside that no one has heard of.

Also Lisbon airport has Titan airway flight arrival from Thessaloniki in the AM too but does not list any Titan departures 9/30 or 10/1. Wonder if plane staying with them this time? Or maybe pilot only departures not listed and the plane will go back to STN anyway.

Forgot to mention Guimarães, a personal favorite on my bucket list ;)

Lisbon appears to be just a connection, the plane left towards London an hour ago. Maybe they’re switching planes again.

Edit: Sorry, I meant that Lisbon looked like a connection just for the plane. It is very possible that teams got off the plane in Lisbon.

The company supplying the charter planes is based out of London. They’ve been flying the planes back to base after most of the destinations thus far. Probably costs $$$ to park the planes for extended periods of time at the destinations.

Is it possible the teams deboarded the plane in Portugal and then the plane was flown back to London for parking?

Yep that definitely looks like them. I'm surprised they're still in actually, especially after their 2020 leg 1 performance lol.

So excited to finally get an official sighting though, yay!  :cheer:

Finally some sighting.  :conf: :cheer: :conf:

Twins and Phil looks really happy at that photo so I am assuming they were not eliminated in that leg. I wonder which leg is it and how far they made it so far.

Teams were also at the Byzantine Walls in Greece. Currently waiting on permission to post the info about that.

Not sure which teams yet. I found a Facebook post of a man who said they helped teams at the walls. I messaged them for more info but so far no response yet.

I'm guessing this is the fourth leg of 2.0, with Zurich, Milan, Corsica being the first three. So Leg 7 if they keep the 3 legs from earlier this year. Twins likely making it to Leg 8 is pretty great.
