DAY #10:
SITE: THE APURVA KEMPINSKI BALI, BALI, INDONESIA
TIME: 10.00 AM
Phil Keoghan: Welcome back, designers! Now that everyone has signed up for a continent, I can reveal the theme for this round!

Phil: That’s right, this round is called “A Tale of Two Landscapes”. Here in Bali, dramatic cliffs rise up right next to world-famous beaches. Each of the continents you picked feature stunning mountain ranges as well as beautiful seasides, and you’ll be showcasing one of those two landscapes in your design for this round.
You have been sorted into the two landscapes based on the order in which you signed up in the thread. Let’s reveal which designers have received which landscape!
Mountains:

Beach:

Phil: Now that you know your continent and your theme for the leg, either Mountains or Beach, you can start designing! Good luck this round, designers!
Rules for this round:
* You must design a leg in the continent you signed up for. It may be in any country in that continent, although we recommend avoiding unrealistic locations such as North Korea.
* Your Pit Start may be anywhere in the world. It does not have to be related to any place you visited in Round 1.
* You must theme your leg around the landscape you received, either Mountain Terrain or Beach Scenery.
* At least two of the following items must be related to the landscape you recieved: Detour, Roadblock, Active Route Info.
* The Pit Stop must be a location related to your theme.
* If you received the Speed Bump penalty, you must incorporate a Speed Bump task this leg related to either Mountains or Beach, depending on which you received.
* You may incorporate elements such as Fast Forward, U-Turn, Yield, etc. in your design this round, but you certainly aren’t required to.
Definitions for the types of landscapes:
“Mountain Terrain” includes mountain ranges, forests, wooded areas, hills, cliffsides, etc.
“Beach Scenery” includes beaches, seasides, coasts, islands, coves, bodies of water, etc.
You have one week from today to finish! You are permitted to submit once, so make sure you’ve got everything perfect before you send it off to us.
Round 2 will be an elimination round. The top 15 designers will move on to Round 3, while the bottom 4 designers this round will be eliminated.
Best of luck to everyone!
