So that means Russia is out of the list. I think it's just China and India? Cyprus is safe right? :funny: Does anybody know what other countries in Asia are safe?

I think Cyprus is normally safe for international travelers, the only thing is to visit Limassol or Paphos. The country is never visited in TAR before and would be the first time to visit.

That's my wild guess for the new country this season. :hrt: They visited Malta and Monaco last 2 seasons, so I'm suspecting this to be next.

Any chance that they go to Cuba this season?  Relations between the US and Cuba are getting much better and would be an interesting place to go Leg 1 or next to last leg.
Maybe not this season, but potentially in a few years, depending on how the U.S. President that takes office in 2017 and Fidel Castro get along.

In the meantime, if you want to see racing in Cuba, check out Australia season 2, which spent 2 legs there.

But really, I don't think they'll ever go there. Many Americans still see Cuba as being the same as it was in the 60's, so it would probably spark controversy akin to TAR 22's Vietnam leg.

If they're working on replacement Legs, especially in Asia, then Vietnam and (especially) Philippines (because of working with ActiveTV) would be quick fixes since they have 5 seasons of complete Legs between them to easily recycle. lol

That is the peak of summer season in the Northern Hemisphere. TAR8 and TAR12 also started in July, while TAR3 and TAR6 started in August, as it is late summer peak.

I feel like a stop in Canada is well overdue, but doubt that will happen  (:;)

Given the conditions when they will be filming, don't hold your breath for Australia (Melbourne) or any south pacific islands.
Jet and Cord are still the best!!! Bring them back!

It's a great new country for TAR to visit but currently Cyprus isn't that safe. The British issued a foreign travel advice there.  The link shows all the dangers and travel advice https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/cyprus

Honestly I don't think they will be doing another season because they would have filmed most likely today :(

Oh yeah, they got plenty of time still. As is evident from how fast TAR Canada works (12 shows filmed in May, edited and promoted in June, ready to air 1 week into July), it doesn't take that long to get a season ready.

Be patient, guys. TAR27 filming will come :)

I'll be traveling to Europe tomorrow and will be there for 3 weeks. Fingers crossed, maybe I'll run into some racers at JFK.

I am lucky that I can follow the amazing race Norwegian version in Hong Kong

And I am keeping an eye on the social networking sites in China,Taiwan and HK

We all know we can rule out South Korea,Nepal first
China,India,Japan remain a high possibility for a possible eastward start

And it's possible for TAR to visit new small countries, such as Luxembourg, Cyprus, or San Marino, since TAR 25 & 26 visited Malta and Monaco.

Also add Cape Verde, a country in Africa which is small but its a vast of islands. The country is off the West African coast and tourism is good in Cape Verde.

One thing I always thought would be awesome is if they visited Slovenia, Tuscany, and San Marino all in one big driving leg!

I'm still betting on Cyprus as my completely wild guess, but other countries mentioned seem to be likely too I guess.

Meanwhile with Japan, aren't there recent earthquakes there these days? ???

Apparently, Cape Verde (Africa) and Cyprus (Asia, but having political connections with Europe like Turkey and Israel) are the most likely the new countries would be visited for TAR27, and could be the first time since TAR20 had two previously unvisited countries. No new European country would feature for TAR27 as it already did with Malta and Monaco in the last two seasons.

As for Japan, there are no recent earthquakes at the past year.
