Bottom line is it is CBS's decision and we don't get a vote.

As much as I am dying to see 32 I am thinking fall could be better.

There is a LONG list of shows not filming right now...they may like a fresh new show with a large fan base to air in the fall.

Nobody knows...

So...would you hang onto it for Fall? Or air during a time of chaos...when you don't know how many people would be watching?

Its a classic damned if you do...OR...damned if you don't.

I CAN think of ways you can film Survivor safely. But NO ways that TAR could film safely now or in the next several months.

I feel like they'll definitely air after the "peak" has been reached in at least 46/50 states with at least all the top 25 major populated states being cleared for vaccines to the virus - which means it's going to take at least until the vaccine is distributed worldwide. Not soon enough and not soon at all. This way production can likely continue with a season 33 redux if given the greenlight by CBS following the aftermath rather than just having 32 as a one-off season.

Still feeling really bad for the winners of this season and those who can't even get their stipend/prizes until this passes.

There is no premiere date listed but I notice that the Amazing Race site on CBS Press has been updated for the first time in a year and acknowledges a 32nd season. It was last updated in April 2019 for the Season 31 premiere date.

Good job Mac! Based on Phil's comment, this info and how they revealed 31, it is looking like we could possibly see a 32 start in as soon as 4-6 weeks. Stay tuned!!

One other thing to consider. I don’t know for certain but CBS does have scripted summer series that were planned for this summer, partular, Blood and Treasure, season 2. I know they were doing location shooting before the pandemic got going during the winter, but it wasn’t clear to me if they finished principal filming was shut down.CBS had other scripted series as well. The bid schedule hole for CBS will its summer reality shows, and that may depend on if there are changes in social distancing rules or “non essential business definitions between now and then.

With Phil's Tweet and that press release, my theory is we're getting a summer season.

Probably will premiere in either late May or early June, after the regular TV season is over/after the Survivor finale. We may even get the Survivor slot of 8/7c on Wednesday's.

If that's the case, the season will probably run from late May/early June, to late August/early September, before the Fall TV season starts up again.

Either that or Phil's Tweet and that press release means nothing and we won't get any more news for months still.  :'(

And OMG, a TWO HOUR season premiere?! Do we think this is a TAR6/7/8/9 styled two hour premiere or a just the first two legs/episodes back to back 2 hour premiere?!
