The Madrid sighting for me is very suspicious because all the weekend there were problems to all the Spanish airports due to the traffic controllers strike. The government declared a state of emergency and on Friday and Saturday most flights were cancelled. I know the sighting says Sunday but it still would be risky to use a Spanish airport.

Well all we have is one guy who says he saw the cowboys departing from Madrid airport. There is definitely some room for misinterpretation or mistake there. Maybe someone could get him some pictures?

Just spec, but I say keep your eyes on Slovenia in the next couple of days...

Very close proximity to Vienna... only a 4 hour drive from capital to capital

Bratislava the capital of Slovakia is even closer only an hour by train and it's also never been visited.

Was it only Jet and Cord that were sighted? This could be similar to Nat and Kat who went through Dubai when the rest of the teams went via a different route this season?

I think that Vienna is a destination and they have to find a clue box at the Weihnachtsmarkt or have a task there (find the right stand, drink a cup of Gluehwein and eat 10 Lebkuchen), then on to the next task. From Austria they could pretty much go anywhere in Europe! It's all way too close to speculate. The Madrid sighting to me looks like a trip to Elimination Station or a connection from Africa to Austria. The cheap airlines in Europe like Ryan Air usually don't use the main airports though, so I would eliminate that possibility.

All Stars team spotted, the cowboys team Jet&Cord departing from Madrid Spain.

credit to weihen

It seems odd for them to fly from India to Spain (east to west)
and then fly from Spain to Austria (west to east)
UNLESS
they fly south to Africa afterwards...

I think we are dealing with a 2-3 day hole between sightings, so there is plenty of time for another 1-2 legs somewhere between India (only saw them at the airport there) and Spain (airport only) or Austria. And if the theory of Madrid being transit only holds, then I don't think it is unusual to go from India to, let's say Northern Africa, and then to Austria... then probably 2-3 more legs in Europe and a Finale on the East/South East Coast late this week.

Ha, on the preview for the next eppy of TAR 17, they have a "special surprise for what the next Season will be". I "wonder what it is?"

I wonder if it's not only the official reveal of the title for TAR18, but maybe an early cut teaser with things already shot from legs in Australia, Japan and China or maybe the official announcement of the teams in the cast.

Also by the time the TAR17 finale is shown, we'll be on the final stretch of the TAR18 in terms of filming, which will make it really interesting.

It's possible that the "special surprise" will merely be that TAR 18 will be shown in HD. They may want to hold back the announcement of the returning racers until a few weeks before the next season airs to create more of a buzz leading up to it. However, I think it's probable that the announcement will mention the returning racers.

Madrid airport has 45 million+ passengers a year. It's not quite Frankfort or Heathrow, but counts as a really major air hub and a place you could end up connecting through coming from either India or northern Africa. Vienna's about 18 million passengers a year, which is no slouch but not as much of a hub as you find in nearby countries.

So, they connected to Madrid so as to get to Vienna?

Oh, I saw something about Madrid, and I need a Spanish leg so bad...

That's a cool idea, I'm glad someone thought of it. They did a great job on the editing too. Somebody should submit that one to CBS, their work has already been done.

I really doubt Spain at this time, if anything, it'd be the last destination before returning to the U.S.

Either it's a hoax, or the cowboys are in trouble.

Any sign the teams will be headed to London in the next few days?

Hello everyone! New member and first post here! I've been reading you for some time, congratulations for the amazing job!  :hearts:

It's just a thought but wouldn't it be too late to send them to the mansion? According to the other topic we are thinking there have been 7 or 8 legs out of 12 and usually after leg 7 racers stay with production and only call the villa to let the others know they are out.
Anyway just my two cents, I like the cowboys and hope they win so it might be wishful thinking ^^

Great point! They have used Portugal before for sequester, but yes, they usually only send 6 teams to sequester, so it is right on the cusp.

They used the old footage for Ronald/Chris and for Kynt/Vxysin, so of course it is not real... But good job.

Or someone is trying to play us. :lol3:

Neobie posted earlier in ref to the Madrid info:

I'd be inclined to buy a "this is bull****" theory. Be cautious about being played!

and

GabGabyGabby

I saw them trying to take a taxi, they were in front of a monument or something, close to a Christmas market.

Therefore, it's confirmed that Jet/Cord, TK/Rachel & Flighttime/Bigeasy is safe :)
Hmm.. a task close to the christmas market? haha!

TK/Rachel are not in this race

Haha let's bring this to the other thread :P

OMG! haha! Actually i was thinking of that as an option for the productions. To post fake twitters and FB posts. But at the same time, wldnt that reveal the location the teams are currently in? haha!
Sigh, the productions really do suck balls. Spoil us producers! :(
