I really thought having more tasks for a 90 minute episode would produce more sightings but I guess not

As of now we have 2 couples, 4 siblings, 3 parent/child, and 2 friend teams.

VERY different from 34 who had 7 couples, 2 siblings, 1 parent/child, and 2 friend teams.

35 had 5 couples, 2 siblings, 1 cousins, 2 parent/child, and 2 friend teams.

I like the direction they went with more family teams!

We've had so many winners recently being romantically linked. If you exclude the two teams of strangers who won, Season 25 is the last time a nonromantically linked team won.

We historically don't get many sightings in Asia so it's not out of the ordinary that we haven't seen anything.

Thailand always seems to be a tough country to get sightings out of. I remember the surprise when TAR Canada 5 went to Bangkok, we didn't know they even went to the country until the previous episode's preview

If they air 36 this fall, they would have to seriously consider dumping 35 on Paramount at some point in the future (summer 2024?) I just don't see how they could go backwards in format after returning to pre-covid norms this season. Definitely more excited for 36 personally.

I was really hoping s.35 would be a celebration, but honestly  there is so . Much.confusion around it . Travis and Nicole were the last  top 3 afr/Ame  duo in tar 23 . 35 was supposed to be shown long be4 writers strike ..BUT we MOVE. Nothing much we can do  if cbs has chosen to throw the most diverse top 3 since 23 in Paramount +  water

Really hoping we get sightings soon, I am a bit worried in the back of my mind that public travel will cause covid cases within teams and that it's going to be a disaster, fingers crossed for some sightings!

Just now catching up with all of this, but it looks like they are back to public transportation? Does this mean they are responsible for their own tickets? Or are they all on the same flights still, just with other people? Probably too early to tell but thought I’d ask.

We do have reports of some airport drama in LAX. It does seem to bring us back to responsible for their own tickets.
But limiting which flights are eligeable, does seem like a precaution production would maintain, though I do miss the days when we'd have a team finding an alternate route of their own.

The only drama I know about is the  passport namè not matching the ticket  name of a certain team..Was there any other DRAMA

Can't believe I'm saying this since it's been 4 seasons since we've seen it, but I can't wait until they get out of southeast Asia. It's generally a nightmare for sightings unless they're in the major world-centric cities

Even when they visit India or Middle East, we don't have sightings
The most sightings we have in Asia is Hong Kong and that was it lmao

I think in terms of sightings we're more likely to see them in airports in Asia vs running full legs (minus something like TAR 32 in Manila where they were followed the entire day).

The route is alright; in a pre-COVID world I'd probably be less high on Thailand and Vietnam again but as long as the tasks are good and the teams are interesting I'm sated. A big jump to Africa would be nice though

I am just PRAYING that it’s not two Thailand legs followed by two Vietnam legs. The first five episodes of TAR33 where we only saw two countries were just so…sluggish. And I know we have a similar thing coming in TAR35 so I’d hate to see that pattern being repeated here.

I am not mad at them making 2 legs in each Thailand and Vietnam
But I do want them to insert 2-3 new countries afterwards
aka the long-awaiting Nepal or the untouched Central Asian Countries like Tajikistan/Uzbekistan or something really unexpected aka Brunei or Maldives

They would probably rest for 3-4 days then get ready for another leg. My guess is they went westward to Central Asia or South Asia, probably not India. If they went south, then Indonesia or Singapore. We won't know when a surprise leg would pop out right in front of our eyes.
