It's always surprising to see that people don't like Jon partly since the same people generally don't like Beau either. Besides Phil, I'm not sure there's a host that people like on these forums, and the same people probably don't remember back in the early 2000s when Phil still really hadn't come into his own on the show.
I feel like if people complain enough about that and there's an actual host swap, then it'll just be the same issue with new hosts not really getting the vibe until much later. When Scott Tweedie showed up for a few episodes in AUS6, he came across like a nervous kid with no real sense of comfort with the role (which isn't much of a fault since he hopped into it last minute and was new to the role), but some acted like he was the coming of TAR Jesus. This after people derided the season as well. It's baffling.
Oh well.
