I cannot get over the fact that we thought Kaylynn & Haley got eliminated in Paraguay but now they’re here making it to INDIA! So iconic  :luvya:
Never would have thought they would be the last non-allied team left
It is just bad we aren't getting a 3rd NEL this season so we cannot see them break a record and be the team coming last on all NELs of a season
Technically since we likely aren’t another NEL due to the megaleg, Kaylynn & Haley will have come in last on every single NEL!

Was anyone else surprised when Haley & Kaylynn survived and Leo & Alana got eliminated? Like I was actually genuinely shocked. I had thought that it was the other way around.

I never would have seen Haley and Kaylynn ACTUALLY making it all the way to the final 6/episode 9/India??!! Literally the whole episode I was just waiting for them to mess-up and for Leo & Alana to catch up, but then it never happened. I'm not sure if I just wasn't paying as much attention to spoilers or what, but that was genuinely one of the most surprised I've been at an elimination on The Amazing Race in a LONG time.

Same with me. I was almost certain their taxi was going to get lost or something on the way to the First President Park Pit Stop and Leo & Alana would pass them by.

Watching Kaylynn & Haley keeps bottom-goddess every leg reminds me the joy when we found out survived until Spain in TAR24, when we have lost them since Malaysia  :funny:

Per the Futon Critic, next week we get two episodes, episodes 3208 and 3209. The mega leg may well be just the first hour (episode 3208).

I doubt they actually want to cram a mega leg into one hour airtime unless there is no Ari tasks lol. Probably a two parter without check-in/virtual pit stop feature

As much as I like the cast, I'm really not liking this "Mine Five" alliance now. In the first 2-3 legs when there are more teams, fine. Now that there are only six teams now, with three elimination points to go (Legs 9, 10, & 11), this alliance needs to break down.

Also, did they just rename the double-length leg, or is it a new twist?

Kaylynn and Haley's journey of constantly surviving. :2hearts:

It seems like they’re rebranding the superleg and trying to pass it off as something new which is...an interesting choice. I’ve always preferred Keep On Racing legs to Superlegs because they actually count as two separate legs

Phil made it clear in the episode this is something new.

TAR6 was out of necessity and a last minute thing. So when I think of SuperLeg, I think of TAR10 and Leg 9 when teams were told to keep racing in a clue. No Phil. No Pit Stop/Mat. There's a clear midpoint of course, but it was all one Leg.

As opposed to Keep on Racing Legs which are just Zero-Hour Pit Stops + No Penalty Non-Elimination Legs.

I am finding myself looking forward to it less every week. Some help is standard in TAR, but this "Mine Five" alliance is sucking the competitiveness right out of the season. I'm imagining in the finale...the 3 teams even sharing the answers to whatever memory task they get and waiting for each other to cross the finish line.

At this rate, Phil should just not eliminate any more teams and let the final 6 cross the finish line holding hands.

I am hoping the Mine Five start going at each other's throats. Or a situation where a team that helped others (like Hung last night) gets eliminated when the teams they help pass them. Or like DeAngelo & Gary beating everyone when they contribute the least to the alliance. It would be hilarious.

The Mine Five is not only too powerful but I fear its success can influence future seasons (if the show returns)

Chos brother ended up being eliminated because they contributed to much help to Bamas. Joey & Meghan almost got eliminated after Meghan helped John with the Roadblock in the Guangzhou leg...

I don't know why teams are still willing to help each other, especially to a dominant team like Hung & Chee  :groan:

But I gotta say I love how Phil rubbed it in to Hung & Chee that they made a $15,000 mistake, lol.

Honestly, I feel like in retrospect, phrasing it as a $1 million mistake toward the Mine Five Alliance would have been the most beneficial and had the most impact, not just to Hung & Chee. It was a needed wake-up call, not just TV gold.

I also partially have to condemn production for the loopholes on the Australian rappel Roadblock - racers should not have been allowed to work with each other after a guess or look for outside help. At least have them select or write down letters to build the word like in TAR14's "Chekhov" and TAR15's "Franz". I found it humiliating to watch when only Hung properly completed this Roadblock... only to give out the answer.

Leo did figure the answer of the RB too unless you meant the first four teams at the hotel

Not until he had to collaborate with Aparna for the answer. He didn't even have to go back up to the hotel's roof because of this loophole.

My reaction to the sneak peak: how is someone a TAR superfan yet doesn’t know what a rickshaw is?!

India being a "Megaleg" makes #TAR32 technically the first Amazing Race season ever to not repeat any countries for 2 episodes. No complaints about that for a change! :)

Especially if they've ever seen a TAR season before, where those are a staple of southeast Asian legs.
