From the promo pictures, the blonde sisters are are the roadblock at the same time as Eswar & Aparna (probably the last two teams).
Did the spoiler say that one team was still at the roadblock while everybody was finish?
My guess is that they get lost AFTER the roadblock!

Also, what are your prediction for the top 3 of the leg? Both Alana/Leo and Will/James looks very happy at the pitstop, so my guess is that they are the top 2.
Leg winner: Will and James
Leo/Alana:  Just very happy to be 2th
Michelle/Victoria: 3rd

(Which would match the order of interview from the spoiler)

Why was the bit from the timeline about the blondes being field eliminated suddenly deleted? If it indeed pans out, then a reputable spoiler was removed.

Also, Eswar & Aparna were supposed to have been yielded.

A promo showed them in France and Germany. The person on location saw that they were last and at the time it seemed as if they were possibly field eliminated

Wait, so I'm confused. Were Eswar and Aparna actually Yielded this episode and it was edited out? Or was that actually not what happened? I was looking forward to the Yield drama this episode...  :groan:

I think what happened was Docal heard phil say:

How did you react when you saw the Yield?

Which we know now that this year's Yield works differently, so maybe he assumed Phil asked them because they were yield, but it was more of a : Did you think you were going to be Yield?

I find it crazy that this 'alliance' is helping each other this much, is this the most intense exemple of an alliance on Amazing race?
Knowing they finish top 5, I really feel like finishing in the top 5 of tha mine task in leg 2 shaped the whole race LOL

Correct, but I also didn't delete it! I like to have the historic look of what we thought vs what actually played out on the episode.

The fourth post has all the info retained at the time of filming, which I never edit once the cast has been released. The wording used was always "possibly" field eliminated, we had no confirmed info the blondes actually got booted there.

Once it became apparent the blondes survived, I updated the main post  Hope that clears it up

Do we have any information on this unaired cluebox?

https://www.instagram.com/p/CHMHY56pWMg/

I wonder why they would edit that out? Do we think it was simply just a retrieve a clue and proceed to your next destination, or was there a task there? I also wonder where in the episode that would have taken place?  :duno: Any information on that, and the supposed Eswar/Aparna Yield, would be really interesting!

I'm glad they cut out that Route Marker, because the episode would have been even more rushed toward the end.

My guess is that it was just use for the first location on the leg, that way teams can't plan too much advance... They wouldn't know where the location of the roadblock was...

This may be relevant, but in the race preview at the end of ep 1 there was a cap of a yield box (below); I can't find the same angle for a match but it shows similarities to the side of Palacio Lopez opposite from where the cluebox was photographed.

I don’t think it’s in Paraguay because the Yield for that leg was at the terrere task. Could it be at the National Museum of Natural History in Manila?

How did we know that India was a double leg and not Kazakhstan?
Maybe the absence of signs is a sign.

The episode 8 titles is something about a rickshaw (that you find in India and not Kazakstan)

So I was rewatching episode 4 and noticed something interesting when they showed a zoom-in on the Yield board. It's only shown for about a second and it's hard to see unless you pause it at the right time, but you can clearly see that someone's picture is inside of the Yield board/pouch/thingy. Upon further inspection, the picture is sideways and clearly showing a team wearing red so it look very much like Eswar and Aparna's cast picture (though it could be Hung and Chee) to me. If you look sideways at Eswar and Aparna's cast picture on the CBS website, it matches; especially with showing Eswar's curly/wavy dark hair. You can also see the chyron of the team name in the picture and, to me at least, it looks like it ends with an -A.

It's also worth noting that this was the only time you could see this throughout the episode. So this isn't something where everybody's cast picture is in this board/pouch/thingy waiting to be used. Episode 2 and episode 4, both times the Yield has appeared, there weren't any other pictures waiting in the board/pouch/thingy. Just this one time where I am pointing out right here. Thoughts?

Go to about ~23:30 in the episode to see it yourself.

Nice attention!

But if you zoom in closer, you would see it is DeAngelo & Gary's photo. Gary's "ary" ever-so-slightly peaks out. Plus, I don't think I've ever seen single Yield photos that thick. It definitely looks like a stack of eight right there.

Have you noticed almost every leg's had something related to a circus, a carnival or a party? And knowing we're ending in the French Quarter of New Orleans (the capital of partying)...I smell a possible final memory task.

I know they're doing that big gladiator thing in Kazakhstan, which keeps with the theme.

This seemed to me like a leg that got put together real last minute. Both Roadblocks were incredibly easy and boring to watch

I forgot, was it this season that Phil said was very difficult to film. And some here speculated that it was because they had to possibly do a few replacement Legs last minute?

In addition to Manila, maybe Paris was also a replacement Leg.   :duno:

There was a lot of flying involved in this season. We have had connecting flights for teams for 5 consecutive legs already. I wonder if the long flying was the reason to keep teams & Phil so tired :duno:.

So which original locations were being planned and then replaced at the last minute?

If the sneak preview they drive the little German cars to a teledisco so we could be onto something here. Especially since the fighting or whatever it is in Kazakhstan but Idk what leg 3 would be though.
