In any way, let's keep our eyes open tomorrow for tweets and posts. There is going to be a leg somewhere, and i'm thinking Europe.

Well, I guess there's still at least a tiny chance that this was a NEL, so keep holding out hope :cmaslol
Great work, docol! I'm just still a bit confused which was the F/F team that got 3rd - was it these girls?: https://i.imgur.com/iMZINFS.jpg

The fact that production travelled to Sao Paolo makes me think that it’s an eastward route. Santiago would have been a more logical connection point IMO for a westward route.  Just spec of course!
Well, what's stopping them from connecting west through Santiago now, after Paraguay?

Asuncion has direct flights to Santiago. If they truly wanted to go west at this point, why go from Asuncion to Sao Paulo and then to Santiago? It seems out of the way.

That being said, i have a strong feeling about Lisbon. Madrid would be my 2nd big feel as well.

I don’t know that one can assume Europe at all. They’ve travelled due east to Africa and west to Oceania, New Zealand or Australia in the past, and westward has been less recent than eastward. Just my $.02.

Madrid hasn't been visited yet ever on the Race so I'm keeping a lookout for this. I'm also looking at Germany, the country hasn't been visited in a while. I'm speculating on Ireland, Finland, Hungary and Romania as potential visits given the trend in recent seasons of visiting undervisited countries. They could visit Slovakia, Latvia, Luxembourg, Andorra which are good choices for the Autumn season, new countries.

Come to think of it. It might be the case as well. We might have 7 teams in the running to lessen the costs should they fly westward to Oceania. The flights in from SA to Oceania are expensive. There's even a flight from Santiago, Chile to Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia.

Its just a guess. Sao Paulo is definitely a connecting point for a flights to Africa if teams should stay southward into eastbound. South African Airways has a direct flight from Sao Paulo to Johannesburg.

Even though the flight(s) to Africa is a way lot cheaper than expensive flights to Europe or Oceania.

I doubt that.

Lots of speculation here.

But remember that some production leapfrog legs.

So one guy headed to Sao Paulo just means he could be picking up a flight to the leg after next.

So lets just ALL plan on helping with searching for sightings tonight/tomorrow and we'll see what happens!!

There is flights from Santiago to Cape Town and Johannesburg!

There's also, ahem, a flight to Mauritius...

There's also flights to Melbourne and Auckland, but would production pay $1,500 a person? ???

But, if teams are leaving from Sao Paulo, then Europe would be the most logical option...

Seville was visited in Season 24, not Madrid. :)

You mean Sao Paulo? Santiago de Chile doesn't have any flights to Africa. Only Sao Paulo has a direct flight to Johannesburg. Mauritius was last visited in season 10 and it is a long overdue.

Asuncion has a direct flight to Madrid on Monday's night. I doubt whether production will use Sao Paulo as a connection if direct flight is available.

It makes more sense if this connecting flight from Saõ Paulo  would let production go to Africa or Europe. But if they wanted to connect to Santiago, and get to Oceania, that's another different story.

Not that it's out of the question, but I'd guess that since that last tweet was in past tense, that the person may have referred to the leg the other day, not that they're currently filming.  (But maybe they are?)

That last tweet, or at least the supplied translation from Spanish is quite ambiguous. “Another” can be taken to refer to another leg in Paraguay or just another leg for the show that was the one leg there.

4 legs in SA? unlikely for nowadays race, especially it is leg 5 already.
