It's possible. Asusncion has flights to Santiago, which has flights to both Sydney and Auckland.

There hasn’t been a standard length for pit stops for a long time. So we don’t know. It depends on where the teams are headed, and the needs of production that are traveling with or ahead of the teams.

I am putting this in the discussion thread because it’s not new information but I responded to the guy that spotted Gary and De’Angelo at the Port of Manaus on twitter and asked him if he saw any other teams and when he saw them and this was his response:

“Los vi el jueves 15, y fueron los únicos que vi en el momento, pero en la noche de ese mismo dñia me encontraba en el mismo hotel donde se alojaban y vi a todos los equipos.”

Translation: “I saw them on Thursday the 15th, and they were the only ones I saw at the time, but on the night of that same day I was in the same hotel where they were staying and I saw all the teams.”

I responded to him with pictures of the 4 teams not seen in Asunción so we could possibly get more clarity on the boot order, so we will see if he responds

Team barded, indian and asian were resting in the tends when DeAngelo and his friend arrived. They were soo static and frantic about still being on the race as team number 7.
We then sat and wait for over an hour and overheard some guy saying: “The ladies are still somewhere on the route, we are just waiting for them”

All of sudden, Phil is gone….but the mat and everyone else stayed. I had to come back home for some health issues i told Peach about, so i couldn’t confirm it it was indeed a F/F the one team missing. I have no idea if they came to the pitstop or Phil went to them.

So maybe Phil really just needed to go to toilet or something (and then came back)? This gives me hope.

The fact that production travelled to Sao Paolo makes me think that it’s an eastward route. Santiago would have been a more logical connection point IMO for a westward route. Just spec of course!

i CAN'T confirm 100 % that my ears heard in the right way.....

but i remember paying close attention and i think the word that came out of Phil's mouth were: "what were your thoughts when you saw that yield sign"

back to the final team.....cameramen and production STAYED....so did i, but Phil was gone! i have no idea what happened....maybe Phil went to eliminate them or they came later on.! it was over 9 PM by the time i left....for that las team, it was more than 7 hours of racing and they were dead LAST

Leaving São Paulo tonight there are also flights to Lisbon, Milan and Frankfurt. Let's not disconsider those.

I guess maybe Phil left to visit that unknown team's place since they were in last and didn't finish the task and maybe had a time penalty? With a time penalty like that automatically eliminate that team.
