Art & JJ were annoying and cocky. Them intentionally stirring the pot, especially between Brendon & Rachel and Vanessa & Ralph was just unnecessarily over the top. Then their strange tension with Nary & Jamie.

They're not the most abhorrent team of course. But considering all the options for a returning team, even "villain" teams, there are certainly better and more interesting choices.

So far, this probably have reached to leg 6? Haven't it? It means maybe we will get double U-Turn (season 29 and 30 had it on leg 6). I just hope Team Fun, Team Broken Ox and Janelle & Britney will survive on leg 6.

Hope this is one of the seasons where the cast really carries the season despite the route being boring/mediocre, like Season 21.

Keep in mind that most US viewers watching TAR have never seen any of the international/regional versions of TAR, ever. The fact that many of them may have visited the same places as TAR Mothership means nothing to them.

Anyway, I seem to remember people hoping for this to be the worst route ever to match what people feared would be the worst cast ever. So I guess people are getting their wish, judging from the meltdowns over Asia and Dubai.

I agree with violet REALLY DUBAI???? They had a PERFECT Opportunity to go to Jordan Israel Qatar I think the main reason again is to draw viewers to come to dubai

Well that's really the whole point. If Dubai or Vietnam has great financial incentives for TAR to visit, then TAR will visit them over a country that might not have any incentives in addition to being difficult to get to. Simple as that.

I'm going to hold out until we find out more about the next leg, but I wouldn't call this route mediocre just yet.

Starting leg in Tokyo at night: like
New country in Laos: love
Vietnam usually delivers and again we haven't seen southern Vietnam since TAR 15: like
(Kind of the same reason I've been accepting of the abundance of France legs due to the variety of locations)

I would be disappointed if they went to the same city after 3 seasons but we'll see.
