Interesting that he said a couple of hundred musicians when Rockin' 1000 put out a call for 1,000. That would be about 25% turnout.

There is another silver tarp covering situation to the left (in the video) in front (stage setup) of the 2 middle of the 4 coverings. Usually in the Rockin' 1000 videos the singers are placed in front. Hope everyone is hydrated.

Maybe it's a timed task and they have to finish it during one playing of Seven Nation Army. If they fail, then the musicians start the song again and same for the teams.

Since Hart Plaza is situated on the river front not too far away from Belle Isle, maybe racers arrive and depart by boat. Not too much change logistically or with the racing time schedule.

Thinking Hart Plaza is detour or road block, take a boat to Belle Isle, road block or detour, race to the pitstop also on Belle Isle. However, the event at Hart Plaza is early evening, thinking more like road block and detour are in Detroit, Go by boat to belle isle for pitstop.

It's an island on the Detroit River with one bridge so it could possibly shield it from prying eyes. haha

reply to 855. Belle Isle is a state park that requires a Recreation passport if you are driving your car into the park. There is a section of the bridge for pedestrians and it can be closed for the public. I just checked they are usually open until 10 pm. Maybe a section of the park can be secluded? It has been years since I was last there. 🤷🏻‍♀️ There is also bus transportation into the park.

That bronze statue near the Guardian Building is The Spirit of Detroit" - a landmark & extremely popular as a symbol of the city. They've been known to put huge Red Wings jerseys on it.
