Maybe they will arrive at Río at night and the first team to arrive will be the first to do something tomorrow (skydiving, parachuting, etc) and they have to sleep in somewhere. It's more fair. Btw, a half of an hour doesn't mean that they will be the first at the PS.

Another thread has the flight schedule, no one will make until Tuesday morning.  That is what happens when you fly west to east late.

Off the bat the African american all-male team reminds me of the first team eliminated in tar 17.
Love the cheerleaders and black ff team.

I hope the ff teams do well also -- especially the black ff team!  And I hope the cheerleaders do well also.

The only team I dislike on first glance is the alpha-male team and that's due to my bias against alpha-male teams.

I am LOVING the look of this new season!!  Very diverse cast, with the exception of lacking older racers, and more importantly, all pre-existing relationships!

As for route, with a South American start, I'd be expecting a very 23-esque route.  I'm guessing just Europe and Asia after this, though would love to be proven wrong.

This cast looks AMAZING, DIVERSE, and GREAT.

TAR casting keeps hitting highs since 25 and I really can't wait for the season <3

Pretty diverse cast by looks. There seems to be quite a few media people involved (TMZ, news anchors), a team of midgets, and such other types of teams/relationships we've never seen before or in a while!

Something that stood out - the first season since TAR 20 (excluding 26) to not include a blonde F/F team.

On Season 16 they were scheduled on different flights, but the first plane was delayed by mechanical difficulties at LAX, so they were allowed to fly the same plane.

To me, it depends on what kind of entertainment connections a team has before I make up my mind on if I like them.

The idea of having TMZ is a little desperate, in my opinion.

After staring at starting line photo and Rio information for the past hour, here are my thoughts on the cast.

PLUSES: My first impressions - Love the vibrant, diverse group of teams this season! In my opinion, this is a mighty step up from the semi-failed dating gimmick. The return of the mother and son duo, the refreshing engaged couple, "contemporary-day Rob & Brennan" (best eye-candy I've seen since Tyler & James), African-American urban dancers and besties, and Chacattack all fuel my exuberance! I can't wait to see them run around the world and hopefully one of the teams in my "pluses" will win.

NEUTRALS: The short M/M team who are also cousins... nobody is replacing Charla & Mirna in my book , I do wish them a great race on the other hand. Likewise, the New York Jets cheerleaders seem like TAR is trying to replace Jaime & Cara.

MINUSES: TMZ, the paparazzi/school-crush stalker team, and they still cast dating teams after last season?!?! I already can't stand the dating paparazzi team by their profession alone.

In general, I am overly enthusiastic to watch this season! Hopefully the Leg route, tasks, and especially THE EDITING CREW can place TAR back as a hit show.
