TAR 20 Ratings Thread
theschnauzers:
This is from TVLine.com on the overnights for TAR 20's premiere outing
--- Quote ---Apologies for the generic-y headline, but it’s kind of a mixed and uncertain bag with this Sunday’s ratings, due to golf overrun on CBS and conflicting benchmarks. But here goes!
As officially approximated by CBS, The Amazing Race 20 came out of the starting gate with 9.9 million total viewers and a 2.6 demo rating. Versus a year ago, the competition series was up a few percentage points, yet down from its fall opener.

Not only was there the overrun, but the data is a bit slow because it's a federal holiday in the U.S. today so a lot of places are observing a three day weekend.
theschnauzers:
The Digital Spy website are giving us different overnight numbers than TVLine:
--- Quote ---The Amazing Race's premiere episode was 4% up from last year with 10.85 million viewers and a 2.6 adults 18-49 demo rating at 8pm. The Good Wife attracted 9.47m (2.2) at 9pm, while CSI: Miami took in 9.98m (2.1) at 10pm. However, due to golf overrunning by 20 minutes earlier in the evening, CBS's figures may be slightly altered at a later date.

It will be interesting to see what the weeklys tell us tomorrow.
SuperTux:
It's a disappointment that ratings of TAR premiere failed to compete with those of Survivor premiere.
This season TAR has aroused my interest. As for Survivor, I might give it up because the premiere was kinda boring. :groan:

I've gone through each of the sites that are normally used to get the information (including CBS) and so far no one has posted the final weekly ratings numbers for the week through Sunday night. Will keep checking, but at the moment, I have no idea when those numbers will be available.

From CBS' Press Release (ratings delayed by holiday):
THE AMAZING RACE 20 (P) (8:21-9:21 PM) delivered a 5.9/09 with 10.34m viewers, 3.8/08 in adults 25-54 and 2.8/07 in adults 18-49 – placing first in these measures in the 8:30-9:30 PM time slot. Compared to last winter's season premiere (on the same night last year), CBS was up +16% in households, +9% in adults 25-54 and +12% in adults 18-49.
#21 for the week in viewers.
