10 Points - Are teams provided Airline tickets in advance?

We don’t see how teams make the flight (this is the most fair option, we don't see booking at all, just seat arrangement)

Phil clearly says that due to the difficult travel, all teams will be on the same flight>> clearly a production provided flight.

Well I still haven't watched the episode, but based on dialogue the only way for production to put in the clue that teams would all be on the same flight is if production reserved tickets for all the racers and for the production personnel.

My question is what is the end of the roadblock?

The RB is collect the bottle, which gives them their next clue to find the Pitstop, I think.

Although I suppose you could argue that the map is part of the RB...will need to relook at that.

The end of the roadblock is when the racer re-boards the boat with the bottle.  From that point the racers are working together again.

10 Points - Steve & Allie and Carol & Brandy appear to leave something during the race.  Which team loses the most spots in going back to get what they lost?

Actually I think Brandy & Carol were last when they lose something (at the detour), they go back and still finish that aspect of the race in last place.  So they don't technically lose any placings due to this.

We also have Steve & Allie who don't go back for their possessions and also don't lose any placings.

I sucked this week.

This may be a low for me, in all 7 rounds I've played  :'(

Works for me.

The end of the roadblock is when the racer re-boards the boat with the bottle.  From that point the racers are working together again.

I agree. Roadblocks are only for one person to perform. I may have hope this round...
10 Points - Are teams provided Airline tickets in advance?

I'm pretty certain teams were provided with tickets, because they were all going on the same flight.

Fine by me.

So you're saying the correct answer would be "Neither lose any placings", right?

I sucked this week.

Me too. The placing questions killed me. Steve & Allie first? I think I put them as 4th or 5th. I did have Dan & Jordan 1st, which was close, but only exact brings any points with these questions. :P

It also doesn't help that I completely spaced out and forgot that of course all departures from the Pit Stop would be shown, since they were shown in the promos. :groan:

I also agree that this was a production provided flight, and that the RB ends when the teammate gets back into the boat.

Yup, I think the flight was production provided. We see NOBODY buying tickets, just selecting seats...

No? I was thinking they don't finish the RB until they go back the Second time, they lose places...  They don't have the bottle when they leave the boat for the map stage, which is where the RB ensd for me...leaving the boat with the bottle.

No. Steve and Allie do NOT go back for what they left (their backbacks), so by default they do not lose any spots. SO can't be both. So do C/B lose a spot?? I can't remember.

The RB ends as soon as the two racers start working together again.  Opening the bottle and solving the map is a task that both racers do together.

I asked this question before the leg aired. If neither team loses any spots, then technically both lost an equal amount of spots (0). Both are correct.

Steve and Allie did not go back at all, so there is no "neither" team in regards to losing spots by the action of going back, which is what the clue asks for.. The only team in this Q who went back is Brandy and Carol. so it can't be both, since one of them didn't go back. The question has no answer.

Hooky, sorry you hated the wait, but there is always time for everyone to discuss the Q's, not just those here in the first five minutes, so  :chillpill:   We have to let G-man chime in

Well all we have is Phil's voice over to really draw a line.  And here is what Phil says,"One team member must find a submerged case of seven bottles figure out how to untie it and then bring one of the seven bottles up to the surface.  With that task complete team members must work together to assemble a map.  Once on shore the map will lead them a long a path to their most valued treasure, the Pit Stop."

Based off Phil's words (not to mention other racers touching and holding the bottle as soon as its on board), the task is over once reaching the surface (I would say where they started the roadblock).  And the fact that once on shore is after him talking about working as a team.

So for this the RB is over once they get to the surface of the water.  For more proof Dan has the map (out of the bootle and is the one to take it to shore).

The point on this is they don't lose any spots.  Since both lose zero, then its the same number of spots.  I don't think the fact that Steve & Allie don't go back invalidate either possible answer.

I don't think either answer says that a team went back or not, just that an equal amount of spots were lost with that number being zero.

But feel free to argue this one.

I am fine with the RB interpretation, But for the other, it is the words that matter... I don't care about the points, I have plenty! :neener:

But >> Which team loses the most spots in going back to get what they lost?

Since Steve and Alie did not go back, they cannot lose spots in the going back>.which is the way the question is phrased.

So therefore the answer is Carol and Brandy (if they did, and I really don't remember) or NEITHER> BOTH cannot be acceptable because one did not go back.

SO really, even if Carol and Brandy lose no spots in going back...they lose more IN THE GOING back than Steve and Allie, who did not go back. It is apples and oranges, and is an invalid question.  ;)

thats fine with me (hell I didn't have either of those as my answers so the less options for people to get points the happier for me).

As for the RB, I don't think thats open to interpretation as it's clear that if Dan took possession of a roadblock that his brother had picked (going from taken the bottle, taking the material and assembling it on the boat, taking it out of the boat and transporting it to the shore) would have earned them how big of a penalty?  Yikes.

Oh and 1 bonus point for Cruella de Georgia.
