I did decently, I think. But the last team at the Pit Stop surely lowered my score. And only one person (not me) got this question right: "Is that team eliminated?"

The teams riding the metro to LAX must take a bus from the last station to the airport. We see one team leaving by the front door but besides being a bus, it is almost impossible to determine whether or not it is a special metro to LAX shuttle bus. It certainly does not look like the parking lot shuttle buses. So I would have to say that it is merely a bus. So two would be the correct answer.
Who recognized Jordan and Jeff? By recognize do you mean that someone actually said "hey, that's the babe from Big Brother?" I never heard anyone say that. One of the brothers did recognize Caite as being Miss Teen from somewhere.
There are three musicians at the pit stop matt, but only one man actually "greets" the team. So the correct answer to who is the "greeter" should be "male"
10 points - How many forms of transportation do we see teams use going from the starting line to LAX? (example, Buses, Trains, taxi’s, subways, ect)

OK, we have Fly Away Bus and the Metro (so Bus and Tram/subway whatever), but the people who took Metro also had to take another Bus. If its just a Bus then the answer is 2, if it's an airport shuttle then its three (after all I said that would count when I was asked). Anyone know????
A bus is a bus is a bus. A parking lot shuttle bus is a bus. A FlyAway bus is a bus. A school bus is a bus. A double-decker bus is a bus. A red bus is a bus, a blue bus is a bus, a green bus is a bus. :colors
Not to belabor the point, regardless of where a bus starts from or its function, its still called a bus.
Did I mention I need the points?
I looked at the tape again, and I can not identify anyone indentifying Jordan and Jeff as having appeared on the show known as Big Brother House. The only ones I can find saying that is Jordan herself. Brent talks about lovin' that Miss South Carolina Teen, but not about Jordan and Jeff as far as I can hear during the actual broadcast. If someone has better ears, please identify where and when Brent or anyone else talks about JeJo.
Is there anywhere we can look at the answers we gave? Is it saved on are profile page? I know I got some questions right and others I am unsure of. TIA
Yup, one team said that "look it's team big brother..." or something like that.
One more question about this I promise. Does the leader board mean anything right now? I looked at it and then my score and it has me confused? TIA

5 Points - When we go to opening credits, Who is the last racer we hear speaking?
0 points - 12 people answered this question - A Man
A greeter is a person who actually greets another person. Playing backup music is not "greeting" someone. So the the one who welcomes the teams to Valparaiso, Chile is a man (who happens to play music also) The other two musicians never greet the teams.
Not to keep beating on the old dog, but if the teams take the metro and have to then take another bus to the airport terminal, we must remember that the question is "How many forms of transportation do we SEE teams use going from the starting line TO the airport LAX?" LAX is airline jargon for Los Angeles International Airport. A parking lot is part of the airport. Therefore even if the teams take a parking lot shuttle bus to the airport TERMINAL, they have already ARRIVED at the AIRPORT before they boarded the bus being used as a shuttle TO GO TO THE TERMINAL.

I already stated (before the leg) that if it was a shuttle like those used in other seasons I would count that as separate. It just doesn't look like any of the shuttles I saw teams use before in LA. I check that actual bus info on it.
G-Man
On the issue of the greeter (I might have to check how I scored this type of question last cycle), you can greet someone in forms other then speech. Things from handshakes, to music, to presenting flowers can all be forms of greeting.
So if last year, I counted multiple persons at the mat, (even if only one spoke) as the greeter then I will count it. But if I didn't then I will restrict it to the person speaking. This might take a bit (I do recall in season 12 the episode that was the first one that Ron & Christina won, we had issues over if the guard up to the mat counted but I don't want to go that far back). So I will double check last seasons game and look (someone mentioned episode 8 so I will head over to that first. And of course I picked a women (so no help for me).
Well... I found the video on youtube... and nobody said welcome...
Well... I found the video on youtube... and nobody said welcome...Thank you, I forgot about youtube. And after watching that footage, and bad on how I scored it then (and that no one complained about it, even with several corrections based on input over other issues for that leg) the correct answer will be multiple people.

There should be an 'other' option; Megan and Cheyne got a sauna and TVs, and teams have gotten home gyms and cash in seasons past as well.
And am I to assume that walking is not a form of transportation?

I agree that MSwood is doing a great job, something I wouldn't touch even if you paid me. But just because I like to nitpick. It should be:
Who checks into the pit stop in a better position?
Wow! I had no idea I would do so well in the first week. (At least for me)Keep it up.
Just to clarify on the transportation, no walking, running, swimming, jumping, hopping, ect. In other words you need something besides what we typically call clothing to do it.
A Bicycle, motorcycle, glider, strapping on wings, planes, trains, rickshaws, pogo sticks (or stilits), sleding, sking, ect all would count.
I never heard Carol or Brandy make fun of Catie. I thought they just said they underestimated Jeff and Jordan?
Well I picked Cord & Jet and Jody & Shannon when I should have (I mean seriously I had to pick the cowboys for all tasks with animals). All other questions, not so good.

Personally, I lost all respect for them for making fun of other teams. That's just plain rude. I mean, you don't judge people on one thing.Yeah teams never do this. Oh wait they do it all the time, especially towards the beginning when they don't know each other. It can be meant both light hearted or it could be mean spirited.

I was thinking we heard someone at the lasso task say something about the Cowboys, but I don't have time to rewatch right now...Yeah Carol made some comments, but the comments on t he surface seemed to be general bitching about the cowboys (just as they did while playing poker). We had Jeff saying he is' a city boy not a country boy, and comments like that.
While the departure times were different, all teams getting to the bus station are stuck at the same point of the leg, waiting for their departure.Quote5 points - Are all teams equalized at the 1st Bus station?

I don't consider them to have been equalized, particularly because they were given two different locked in departure times by production.
Also, Carol and Brandy DID mention that the Roadblock was a "Cowboy task" (In fact, a few teams stated that they weren't cowboys) but nobody said anything about how easy it would be for Jet & Cord.

5 points - Are all teams equalized at the 1st Bus station? The answer should be NO because the 2 buses departed from different bus stations.
0 points - 12 people answered this question - Yes Argue (away)
Yay, I'm all for free points too :hearts:
I know what I want the answer to be (NO, NO, NO), but it is easy to argue both sides, I know because I just talked myself out of one :lol3: :lol3: :lol3:
When I think of "ALL teams being equalized" I tend to look at a situation like last week, when all teams, because of the bus schedules, had the opportunity to be and were on the same bus to Santiago from Valparaiso, so no team had an advantage regardless of their start time. This week their clue specifically stated ONLY the first 3 first teams will be on the first bus, so even though technically all teams were likely hanging out at the bus terminal at the same time, 3 teams had an advantage so ALL teams were not equalized...equally, if you know what I mean
Now I know their was two different buses, but were their two different bus stations?
Walking...that's why I said "likely," :) we will never know because they didn't show us but it's not stretch to believe that the teams may have been at the station together because there was only supposed to be 20min difference in departure times.
Ms. Wood...really??? Would that argument then apply to airports as well???

Good work MSwood for this week which should cause a lot of major guess work. But a few nit and pics:first question (since it has happened before).

Q7 I believe you mean to write "there" and not "their"
Q10 I believe that with previous times that the Intersection was put upon us that the Fast Forward was presented (and chosen by the lead teams in both TAR 10 and TAR11

Well I was lazy. But I figured (so of course I will be wrong) if their is a fast forward, then like previous episodes with the Intersection it would effect two teams. Since we have evidence of the teams being, Brent & Caite and Jordan & Jeff as one, Dan & Jordan and Carol & Brandy as another, Jet & Cord and Michael & Louie as yet another pair and finally Joe & Heidi with Steve & Allie I thought it would save time and just include one team of each pair.Quote10 points - Which team uses the Fast Forward?

That wouldn't work though. Then one team would have to work by themselves during the Intersection part.
Well I guess it could work, but it's not very fair to that single team.

Still yes. That doesn't matter. "This time" means this leg, right?

To me, the question is asking if there is a Fast Forward in the intersection.
Remember Game Ends one hour earlier tonight, due to evil canadians getting to watch it first.
I love Canada!
****NOTE****Even with Big Letters?
This week's game is closing an hour earlier, due to reports that TAR will air an hour early in Canada. So get your answers in a little early just to be safe.
Hell I should have kept my mouth shut, I mean seriously a week with Peach getting no points. She would just blame Canada. Its always Canada's fault...
Damn that sounds like a really good week.
Canadians are not evil! Just because our hockey team is better than yours :waves: and because that we won more gold medals :waves: doesn't make us evil incarnate! :lol:No that is true, it's pretty much just Michael.

I just have one thing to say: Jeff & Jordan saved - ugh! And it makes the placement of non-elimination legs look all the more suspicious. :groan:
"10 points - Which task is connected to the Beatles?
0 points - 3 people answered this question - None of the above (damn Pit Stop)"
I disagree.... remember, they had to visit the monument for the Beatles, which clearly had "Route Info" on it... So I would say that that was a general task and that the Beatles Club was the pit stop, thus, it was a general task.

I was thinking the same thing.

I thought the NEL's are planned before the season starts? How would production know Jeff and Jordan would pick the sauerkraut task before doing the soccer one? You are not the first person to think it was unfair so I was wondering if I am missing something?
Wait a minute... this doesn't make sense. You can't give points to both because if you do count it as a general task, then none of the above doesn't work because it is one of the above...
Ok, I don't really see a task, a see go to a destination, but I ccan certainly see General task as I consider general task to be from the general route info clue, which this is from.
General task, since there WAS one (just not shown). You never specified in the question that it had to appear on the screen.

Amen. Gman's reasoning doesn't make sense to me. Detours, U-turns, and Yields (oh my!) are yellow, but not general tasks. General tasks are miscellaneous ones in Route Info clues.

I disagree. A "General Task" is something like the Beer Boot task. The Beetles is more like a transport task not general.
Nothing to do with this game, but i'll very much preferred the NEL to be used LAST LEG and not this leg. :(Joab, you were so good at this in Season 13 and 14! :(

I'm confused about this question. Why do you ask it? When a team is U-turned they are always finished with the Detour first.
Or did you mean "Are they finished with the Detour before another team uses the U-turn on them?" :duno:

For example in season 12, when Kynt & Vyxsin U-Turned Nic & Don. Nic & Don were already finished with the Detour (in fact long gone from it). In this situation the answer is Yes.
In season 14, when Luke & Margie U-Turned Amanda & Kris they hadn't yet finished the Detour. So in that situation the answer would be No.
Remember this is concerning when the team gets U-Turn (not when they discover they are U-Turned). And Other point is when they get the clue for successfully completely the Detour.
I actually hate the Yield and the U-Turn. As ideally I think win or loose it should be based on your performance not in hindering others. It's probably the only aspect of the race that I really dislike.
I do understand people using it (and lord if I was in the situation I probably would as well), I just think it turns the race into something a little ugly.
I'm watching your leg right now, Luke.

Brent & Caite arrive at the Pit Stop (phil even has them come on down with Carol & Brandy) they must go back and actually complete the leg.
Brent & Caite arrive at the Pit Stop (phil even has them come on down with Carol & Brandy) they must go back and actually complete the leg.
Do any teams get a penalty or not allowed to check in at the Pit Stop when they first arrive?
True, when Brent & Caite first arrived at the pit stop, they were not allowed to check in.
And I got it wrong, so I'm furious at Brent & Caite for once again arriving at the pit stop incorrectly. Isn't this 3 out of 6 times? At least this time, they weren't actively seeking the pit stop, they just happened upon it.
Brent and Caite is very dicey. They did step on the mat, and then they realised their mistake before Phil informed them.
imo, they were never disallowed the check in, because Phil normally says "You are the x team to arrive... however, for reason z you have received a penalty/must go back"

I agree with Coutzy. I re-watched the part and they did step on the mat, they probably saw Carol and Brandy's detour clue and realized that they didn't have one and then went back without being told to do so. I personally believe that it shouldn't be counted as a penalty or not allowed to check in because they went through the own accord and told by someone else.
So you are saying that they were allowed to check in, they just chose not to?

Here's the original question:Quote5 points - Do any teams get a penalty or not allowed to check in at the Pit Stop when they first arrive?
0 points - 7 people answered this question - Yes

We know the answer to the first part, "Do any teams get a penalty?" is NO. No need to belabor this point or talk about penalties at all.
The second part, "or not allowed to check in at the Pit Stop when they first arrive?" does not mention Phil, or the mat.
So we have to determine, in the case of Brent & Caite, when did "they first arrive" at the "Pit Stop." My contention is that they first arrived at the Pit Stop just behind Carol and Brandy, before they had actually completed the leg.
Now we must determine if they were "not allowed to check in." So we ask the question, "Were they allowed to check in at that time?" The answer is clearly, "No, they were not allowed to check in at that time." It doesn't matter if Phil said anything, the fact is nobody allowed them to check in.
BTW, I picked "No" so I'm not saying this because I want the points, it's just clearly the right answer.

OK, but who made the determination that they were "not allowed to check in"? Who didn't allow them? Who stopped them from checking in? They never asked to be checked in. So nobody or nothing else determined that they were "not allowed" to check in. They never tried to check in and so were never "not allowed to" since they never tried.
So you are saying that they were allowed to check in, they just chose not to?
Never said that they were allowed toa check in. Phil just thought that they had completed the detour as Brandy and Carol had and that they were coming to the mat also. After that he did not say a single word about checking in, or being allowed to check, in not being allowed to check in. They realized their own mistake and went back up the hill and into their car to again search for the detour site.
Brent and Caite is very dicey. They did step on the mat, and then they realised their mistake before Phil informed them.

If you look carefully (and I have rerun that scene several times frame by frame) Brent and Caite never actually stepped on the mat after Phil told them to come on down (he said nothing about getting on the mat with Brandy and Carol) When Brent turns to leave after realizing that they did not have a Detour clue (Brandy, by the way, does not have a detour clue in her hand, she has the route info clue (blue) telling them to drive to the pit stop)_and as the camera pulls back you can see that his foot is on the grass above the mat. After Phil tells them to come on down, nothing more is said by anyone except Brent who says they do not have the Detour clue so must go back, which the do on their own and wall back up the hill.
So there is no penalty given. And nothing is said or done related to not ALLOWING Brent and Caite to check in at the pit stop.
So the correct answer to this question, in my opinion, is a resounding NO.
Now I think we have whipped this poor dog of a question to death, and we should leave it in the hands of the capable MSwood to make the final call

I concur with wp. The first time Brent & Caite arrived to the Pit Stop, they weren't able to check in because of race rules. Here's the original question:Quote5 points - Do any teams get a penalty or not allowed to check in at the Pit Stop when they first arrive?

It is a TAR rule that you are "not allowed" to check in unless you have received the clue that directs you to the Pit Stop.
If that rule was not in place Brent and Caite could have checked in when they arrived at the Pit Stop. So it is the rule that did not "allow" them to check in...

If that is the case, then I think we should go back to past seasons and redo the scores for all the times teams have been edged out in a foot race.My point is that to be allowed to check in you must have retrieved all the clues in a leg, or receive a clue that tells you specifically to go to the Pit Stop. The only difference here is that Phil did not state the obvious (on camera) like on last leg.
If Ray and Deana arrived at the Pit Stop before Brian and Greg (Which they did, by that logic) Why did they get eliminated?

Brent & Caite arrived at L'Orrca behind Carol 6 Brandy the first time. At that time they weren't allowed (by the rules) to check-in because they didn't meet the requirements needed to check-in
IMO, the Pit Stop is not limited to the Mat. But I guess right now it's just up to how mswood interprets Pit Stop.If that is the case, then I think we should go back to past seasons and redo the scores for all the times teams have been edged out in a foot race.My point is that to be allowed to check in you must have retrieved all the clues in a leg, or receive a clue that tells you specifically to go to the Pit Stop. But my point is that by not stepping on the mat, they never arrived at the Pit Stop. It all depends on how you define Pit Stop. I define it as the mat, because that is the point where the leg ends, not the gates to L'orcca.
I say just give me the results.
And just how are Jordan and Jeff being idiots? For them they seem to be acting perfectly normal before we see the first team reach the roadblock. Who is to make judgments such as this on what is normal and what is being an idiot?
Last season it was just Peach I had to deal with. This time she has faded into the background and I have three new and more difficult threats to deal with. :ascared

Here are the questions for this week, but I haven't put them in the game yet (Should be done by about 10am eastern).
15 Points - What racer states the Title, “Anonymous”
Louie
Michael
Carol
Brandy
Steve
Allie
Jet
Cord
Dan
Jordan
Brent
Caite
None of the above
Last season it was just Peach I had to deal with. This time she has faded into the background and I have three new and more difficult threats to deal with. :ascared

I am just biding my time. :neener:
If the title is in a clue and its read by a racer (or even racers) it would count as spoken by the racers. If it was a sign (that isn't spoken a loud, or in narration only, or done by a local only then it would be none of the above. And if it is an a clue read by many we can have multiple correct answers.

If the name of the island "Anonymous" is contained in route info and is read by a team member, does this count as a team member stating the title? Or if it is first mentioned by Phil as he explains some route or task info would this count as none of the above?
And please clarify question #3 "Are teams provided airline tickets in advance?"
How would we know this? If the usual scene at the airport or travel agency is not shown, but just the teams on the plane or arriving at some airport we would not know if they were provided tickets in advance or that they actually bought them somewhere with the CBS credit card? Or does "we don't see how the teams make the flight" cover this?
No, if it happens that both don't lose any placing it gives you guys and gals two possible correct choices. My gift for no free points.

MSWood: A couple of questions and clarifications.
Question #3: Are teams equalized? I marked "No" but you haven't awarded me my five points. In fact, it looks like nobody was given points. Did you perhaps overlook this question?
Qusetion #21: Who is the 6th team to arrive at the Pit Stop? In all past episodes it has been the team stepping on the mat and being accorded the corresponding position by Phil that has determined the "arrival at the pit stop". In this episode Brent and Caite are the 6th team to arrive officially at the mat or pit stop. I don't think you can count the appearance of Brent and Caite while Brandy and Carol are being checked in by Phil as the number 2 team to arrive.
And on the matter of Brent and Caite being on the mat, you can see when the camera pulls back that Brent's feet are on the grass and not on the matt.
Anyway, if I am correct I should have a total 90 points or 85 if I do not get points for question #21.
I have to bring this up one last time because I have not seen a resolution to the question.
When Dan and Jordan arrive at the Pit Stop -- which has always meant as long as TAR has been running on the air that this (the Pit Stop) is the end of the race for that episode -- Phil says "you are team number five" and when Brent and Caite arrive he says "you are team number six." So how can you reconcile the answer you say is correct that Dan and Jordan are the sixth team to arrive at the pit stop? In all your previous games you have you have used this expression "which team is first to arrive at the Pit Stop?" to mean who won the race? Finally when teams leave the Pit Stop in tonight's episode, Brent and Caite will be leaving in sixth position, not in the third position and Dan and Jordan will be leaving in the sixth position and not in the fifth position.
10 Points - Are teams provided Airline tickets in advance?
We don’t see how teams make the flight (this is the most fair option, we don't see booking at all, just seat arrangement)

I sucked this week.
10 Points - Steve & Allie and Carol & Brandy appear to leave something during the race. Which team loses the most spots in going back to get what they lost?
Actually I think Brandy & Carol were last when they lose something (at the detour), they go back and still finish that aspect of the race in last place. So they don't technically lose any placings due to this.
We also have Steve & Allie who don't go back for their possessions and also don't lose any placings.
The end of the roadblock is when the racer re-boards the boat with the bottle. From that point the racers are working together again.

I'm pretty certain teams were provided with tickets, because they were all going on the same flight.

Phil clearly says that due to the difficult travel, all teams will be on the same flight>> clearly a production provided flight.
5 Points - Do teams end the roadblock in the same order they started?
Yes. Going by Phil's description of the RB being taking a dive and bringing the bottle up to the boat. It's after that where Jet & Cord screw up.
10 Points - Steve & Allie and Carol & Brandy appear to leave something during the race. Which team loses the most spots in going back to get what they lost?

No. Steve and Allie do NOT go back for what they left (their backbacks), so by default they do not lose any spots. SO can't be both. So do C/B lose a spot?? I can't remember.
The RB ends as soon as the two racers start working together again. Opening the bottle and solving the map is a task that both racers do together.

I asked this question before the leg aired. If neither team loses any spots, then technically both lost an equal amount of spots (0). Both are correct.

Steve and Allie did not go back at all, so there is no "neither" team in regards to losing spots by the action of going back, which is what the clue asks for.. The only team in this Q who went back is Brandy and Carol. so it can't be both, since one of them didn't go back. The question has no answer.
Hooky, sorry you hated the wait, but there is always time for everyone to discuss the Q's, not just those here in the first five minutes, so :chillpill: We have to let G-man chime in

No? I was thinking they don't finish the RB until they go back the Second time, they lose places... They don't have the bottle when they leave the boat for the map stage, which is where the RB ensd for me...leaving the boat with the bottle.Quote10 Points - Steve & Allie and Carol & Brandy appear to leave something during the race. "10 Points - Do all teams travel on the same flight?" Be specific. Do you mean out of Seychelles, into Malaysia, or both?If at any time all teams are on the same flight it counts. It doesn't have to be all flights (if teams take multiple, that would kill me)
"10 Points - Which team is firstshowingseen in Malaysia (anywhere in Malaysia)?" Spelling fixed.

10 Points - Which team is first shown in Malaysia (anywhere in Malaysia)? Split-second rush! I see Brent first, but if you want both people, then it's Jet/Cord. (?)
GO G-MAN!!! :yess:
10 Points - Do teams start and end the roadblock in the same order? No
I'd have to disagree on this one because no team passes another one while performing the RB
My observations:
The first spotting of teams in Malaysia is at the airport. Team members are seen running by in this order: Brent, Cord, Caite, Jet, Jordan, et al. When the frame is frozen the first three team members are seen in one frame: Brent, Cord, Caite. Therefore, the first team shown in Malaysia is Brent and Caite.
Peach is going to retire from the game, and rest on her laurels.
I love this game, and hate to stop, but am suddenly too spoiled to play fairly, I think. I last felt it necessary to pull out of the hotly contested sucks game at final 3 in Season 14 too, darn it all.
So y'all have fun, give mswood heck, and I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines! :kuss:

I don't want you out, but knowing how kind you are, we'll let you go (you'll be stubborn if we insist you so as to stay??)
PS: And, am I the only one who hasn't spoiled this season?? I'm quite sure the Top 5 has spoiled, but I'd like to know against how many people I'm fighting in same conditions...
I think that you were perfectly clear in your question Which team is first showing (seen in) Malaysia. In a past episode when you asked a similar question about which team was seen first, you ruled that that meant a complete team together. In this case, at the airport in Malaysia we first see Brent running, then Cord running and then Caite come into the frame to join Brent and Cord. So the answer to the question is that Brent and Caite are the first team shown together in Malaysia. Jet and Cord are not shown until a few frames later, and is actually at an earlier spot: just some lousy post-production editing. In fact, when you see Jet and Cord together you also in the same scene see Dan and Jordan and Steve and Allie. So I think that you can only award the one answer: Brent and Caite are the first TEAM shown together in Malaysia.Well I did mean when a full team appeared what the status was. At that time more then one team was on screen, technically a team and a half. Now in other episodes we have seen a full team by themselves, and in the third episode this season I did ask a similar question but if you notice I never included an option for does more then the two racers appear.

We can't have teams open a clue talk about getting a flight and then see planes landing in the next city.
Airport footage could be just seeing the airport, seeing teams in the airport, but it must be of the airport.
The only hope that we can see any Airport Footage is during "Previously on TAR" where teams flew from Seychelles to Penang.
Previously on footage doesn't not count. And obviously we have one person who actually reads spoilers....

Actually, based upon how question number one was written on the test, the correct answer should be "no one"
No one said: "I fell like I'm In, Like Sicily?"
Got to keep that Joab out of my hair (what's left) one way or the other.Just to quibble. Oh this is fun.
Times teams are awarded places, I count (and I did review the videotape) as follows:
Jet and Cord First Place - 7 times
Brent and Caite Second Place - 6 times
Dan and Jordan Third Place - 3 times
Louie and Michael Fourth place - 3 times
Yeah since i have , often before had spelling errors and not voided out the question, I can't in good faith do it here.for all we know, Brent may actually spell it the same way
My only other option is to not award any points to this question. Not that anyone picked Someone or something else (which didn't apply as no one or no thing stated the title of the episode (no matter the spelling).
Those are my choices Brent who did state the title, just not as I spelled it but it was the episode title, or nothing.
2. joab (God, it looks like Joab finally came out to play, just about 9 weeks late)

It appears as though we're not going to have a round this week.
10 Points - Do Louie & Michael ever get awarded 3rd or better this leg?
0 points - 11 people answered this question - Yes(?)
I'm pretty sure that they were credited for third place at sometime...Nope - checked the whole episode - no 3rd place credit for Louie and Mike. :'(
Well, we'll leave this to mswood... technically they were in third when they arrived at the speed bump...
I doublechecked and I can not hear anyone saying how much money they received. You have to look quickly to see that the clue does say that teams received $22, but if no one actually said it does the question only apply to someone saying it and not what you might catch if you looked closesly.
Louie and Michael are awarded Third Place on a title when they are on the Garden Bridge and are opening the clue envelope.
Louie and Michael are never given a position title when they reach the speed bump. They arrive at the temple hand in hand with Dan and Jordan so they could be either third or fourth. But as Dan and Jordan open the clue they are credited with a third place title. So one could assume that Louie and Michael are in fourth place. But since the placings are not clear, I think that both third and fourth would have to be accepted as correct answers.
As soon as I watch the episode tonight I will score.
Oh.... I'll be happy to twist your arm here. Louie gets to the cluebox before Dan and Jordan do, thus making them in 3rd place when they get to the speed bump. Not exactly the way I was hoping my arm would be twisted.
Or in other words, they are in third when they get to the speedbump.
It was hot and sweaty and absolutely glorious. As soon as I watch the episode tonight I will score.
Really?? Well...have a great time!! :lol3:
Mike and Louie PASSED the Bros in their run to the Speed Bump as they saw their extra task there. They then knew they hd to make up a great loss of time, and thus beat them. The task the Detectives have to complete then is the Speed Bump, and thus, they ARE in 3rd once they hit their Speed Bump.
I think they can't be 4th, no matter how you see it.
What position are Michael & Louie when they get their speedbump clue?
9. All answers will be decided by the aired footage in the episode, not the clips

I think they can't be 4th, no matter how you see it.
But just after that you have a screen title saying that Dan and Jordan are in THIRD place, so that indicates that the cops are now in FOURTH. So did they lose the position by just doing nothing? And after Phil does all the intro to the Speed Bump, the editing cuts back to the brothers reading their Roadblock clue and are labled to be in Third. So it is just a matter of how the editing is going on. Obviously they did not show what was going on simultaneously by both teams, so for all we know Dan and Jordan actually opened their clue first. And as someone pointed out above, the Speed Bump is an extra task not part of the main stream of action so the team doing a Speed Bump is not actually part of the main stream and has no actual place in the race. And since Dan and Jordan are now Third, that means the Cops are Fourth. It is a confusing situation so I think that to be fair to all both Third and Fourth are correct answers.
Well, we'll leave this to mswood... technically they were in third when they arrived at the speed bump...
I feel that the speed bump in an independant track (Bad analogy incoming!) like the "Alternate 1985" featured in Back to the Future 2. While Mike and Louie were completing the Speed Bump, they were not on the standard race course, and I feel that they cannot be credited with a placing while on this alternate course.
The whole point is moot for one of the questions, because they were credited with 3rd on Garden Bridge. But I think in the Speed Bump arrival case it comes down to who is shown opening their clue first.

10 Points – Whom do we see first?Good catch, getting to the Finish Line. I will add that to the question.
My beautiful lover Phil
One former racer
A Combination of multiple racers
A group shot of the eliminated teams and Phil
When? Please clarify.
How much time seperates etc.I will clarify any time question for minutes, hours, ect.
1-2
3-4
5-6
I presume you mean minutes although you don't state it, or is it seconds? or hours? And what if the time difference is 2 and a half minutes? or 4 minutes and 15 seconds?
Does any racer tell us how much money...
By tell do you mean actually speak or say out loud how much money, not by showing the amount on one of the route info cards.?
Do we see Dan and Jordan get Business Class Seats?
Do we have to see them actually sitting in the seats, or just moving up into Business Class without sitting down?
At the tower rappel do we see any two teams at the same time?
Do you mean do we see two teams in the same shot rappeling the tower? What about two persons from different teams watching their team mates rappel in the same shot? Or does it count that we see first one team member rappeling and then another one, so that we can assume that both teams are reppeling at the same time but not in the same shot, does this count as the same time?
\
Does the chest task have a musical element to it?
Clarify. If they are carrying the chest to the Music Hall does this count as a "musical element"?
How many clues TO teams open in this episode?
Do you mean how many clues does one team open in this episode, or how many clues do all the teams open? One team may open 5 clues, but all three team may open 15 clues. (And you do mean DO and not TO. And what if we only see one team open three clues?
10 Points – How many miles does Phil say teams travelled?
30K miles or less
31-32K miles
33-34K miles
35–36K miles
37-38K miles
39-40K miles
41-42K miles
43-45K miles
More then 45K miles
On this question, 41-42K miles means 41,000 miles to 42,999 miles. Just to clarify.
I don't want someone (Hey, G-Man) saying they thought it meant Kilometers. Or that it meant 41 miles to 42,000 miles.

OMG, maybe G-man will contest this if Phil says 42,999.78 miles. :lol3:
If after Brent climbs Coit Tower but can't get the clue, and when he comes back down production or someone else tells him that he had already done six roadblocks so his climb does not count and Caite now has to climb the tower, does this constitute a "penalty" or just a dumb stupid move by the models?

He is afraid of Heights and Caite loves heights. I mean seriously?

Are there 2 roadblocks on this leg?
That would be the only logical reason for Brent (scared of heights) to do this. If another RB already happened and Caite did it forcing Brent to do this one. But since thats alogical reason, I doubt it applies to this team.If after Brent climbs Coit Tower but can't get the clue, and when he comes back down production or someone else tells him that he had already done six roadblocks so his climb does not count and Caite now has to climb the tower, does this constitute a "penalty" or just a dumb stupid move by the models? What I want to know is why is Brent doing this. Is wikipedia a site to trust??...
I thought there was a streak of "I love you bro"s at the Coit TowerThere was it was Jordan saying that to Dan. But Dan only said he loved his brother once (and that was in after the race footage). Kind of surprised actually that it wasn't more. They are very open with the "l" word.
I think most of knew "the rappel" referred to the Coit Tower ascent that had been spoiled, so I would score it that way.
15 Points – How many times is Tiara Gate brought up in this episode (Referring to of course Caite’s Pageant)?

The answer should be once because you asked if it was brought in this episode and it was. You never said that Catie had to be the one to talk about it.
0 points - 1 people answered this question - Bad
10 Points – How many times are Brent & Caite awarded 1st (in this episode)?Nope as the leg starts with teams leaving the Pit Stop. They are (and this happens in every episode I think for at least the first team) credited with 1st place, and the time they leave.
0 points - 5 people answered this question - 1, Leaving the Pit Stop
If you're counting the leaving the pitstop as one time they got a awarded 1st this episode, then the above question must include the recap in the episode as well isn't it? Because technically, besides being tagged as first when leaving the pitstop, Brent and Caite were hardly even first nor second after they landed in San Francisco.

We see them get them as they are in them.
As we see them get those seats its enough for me. Hell in the thread when asked I even said if we saw them just talk to a flight attendant about it it would count, since we see them talk about it and we see them actually in said seats thats plenty.
Now before this gets scored there is one problem I need to mention.
On the rappelling questions. I can't award zero (the game wont let me). So its either points all around or I count the ascenders as rappelling.
On this one I really do want to hear what everyone thinks. Its either points for everyone, or points based on it being an ascender.
I really do lean for points for everything (as I did mean rappelling, but I also thought that was what they were doing).
I can't believe none of you corrected me before the game, your all fired!

Both you and Joab would have done fairly well. But even missing one week is exceptionally hard to catch up on.
Its a hard one, I mean I love spoilers. But sometimes, I think we actually get a little to much.
But take All Stars, I loved the sitings we got from Izad. But I wish we never got the boot list. Even if Peach and Puddin know (and I think they probably have) I don't think they wouldn't be the ones to give out that info.
Thats awesome RandyRules. Forgot I posted that!
And the rigged results for this week (thanks to the nice fat bribe I got from Caelestor ) are here below.Playing unspoiled and missing two eps, I did better than expected.

And although I wish I didn't have to do this, I am retiring from this game (either indefinitely or for a very long time) to give some more attention to real life. So thanks for all the fun everyone, even if I didn't play for very long. :waves:
