Last season it was just Peach I had to deal with. This time she has faded into the background and I have three new and more difficult threats to deal with. :ascared

I'm flattered  :lol3:

Once again, I moved up one position. Let's keep the momentum going!

Grr. I was in first overall after Ep. 4. And then after Ep. 5 I fell to 5th overall. Now I have to overcome each of you one at a time. All while making sure Peach stays behind me.

MSWood:  A couple of questions and clarifications.

Question #3:  Are teams equalized?  I marked "No" but you haven't awarded me my five points. In fact, it looks like nobody was given points.  Did you perhaps overlook this question?

Qusetion #21: Who is the 6th team to arrive at the Pit Stop?  In all past episodes it has been the team stepping on the mat and being accorded the corresponding position by Phil that has determined the "arrival at the pit stop".  In this episode Brent and Caite are the 6th team to arrive officially at the mat or pit stop.  I don't think you can count the appearance  of Brent and Caite while Brandy and Carol are being checked in by Phil as the number 2 team to arrive.

And on the matter of Brent and Caite being on the mat, you can see when the camera pulls back that Brent's feet are on the grass and not on the matt.

Anyway, if I am correct I should have a total 90 points or 85 if I do not get points for question #21.

If the name of the island "Anonymous" is contained in route info and is read by a team member, does this count as a team member stating the title?  Or if it is first mentioned by Phil as he explains some route or task info would this count as none of the above?

And please clarify question #3 "Are teams provided airline tickets in advance?"

How would we know this?   If the usual scene at the airport or travel agency is not shown, but just the teams on the plane or arriving at some airport we would not know if they were provided tickets in advance or that they actually bought them somewhere with the CBS credit card? Or does "we don't see how the teams make the flight" cover this?

If the title is in a clue and its read by a racer (or even racers) it would count as spoken by the racers.  If it was a sign (that isn't spoken a loud, or in narration only, or done by a local only then it would be none of the above.  And if it is an a clue read by many we can have multiple correct answers.

On the issue of the flights.

Production on occasion has provided tickets for the racers (typically on either hard to reach places or to keep teams bunch in a group).  All Stars had these twice.  The flight Eric & Danielle and The guidos took that was to get them to Poland (it didn't) was provided by production.

They usually say that that teams are given provided tickets but are not obligated to use them in the voice over.  Its happen many times over the years, rarely do teams actually use them.

Steve & Allie
Carol & Brandy
Neither loses any spots
Both lose an equal amount of spots
Teams don’t go back

If neither loses any spot, then technically both lose an equal amount of spots (0). Would you like to rephrase the answer choices?

Good afternoon, mswood, what no reponse to my query about missing points for questions #3 and #21?

As for #3 if you check the game board you will see that I got neither a green check nor a red X for this question.  I think I marked it correctly "no" but no points.

Sorry G-Man apparently I only read half your message.  I am looking into #3 as I type this.

Well the game shows that No is the option awarded 5 points.  Let me see if others also don't have any results for this question.

G-man

By any chance might you have not clicked one of the options (its the only thing I can think of), as it appears that it's the one question without all 24 people with an answer.

On this (since it isn't me forgetting to assign a point value or assigning the point value to the wrong option) I have no way of changing the results.

I have to bring this up one last time because I have not seen a resolution to the question.

When Dan and Jordan arrive at the Pit Stop -- which has always meant as long as TAR has been running on the air that this (the Pit Stop) is the end of the race for that episode -- Phil says "you are team number five" and when Brent and Caite arrive he says "you are team number six." So how can you reconcile the answer you say is correct that Dan and Jordan are the sixth team to arrive at the pit stop? In all your previous games you have you have used this expression "which team is first to arrive at the Pit Stop?" to mean who won the race? Finally when teams leave the Pit Stop in tonight's episode, Brent and Caite will be leaving in sixth position, not in the third position and Dan and Jordan will be leaving in the sixth position and not in the fifth position.

Sorry G-Man

I thought I had already addressed this issue. But he question was:

5 Points - Which team is 6th to arrive at the Pit Stop?

And actually I have often used three type of questions for getting to the Pit Stop:

Here is examples from just this season's questions.

10 Points - Which team is the first to check into the Pit Stop?

to

15 points - Which team is the first to arrive at the Pit Stop?

and one that I used to use more of

10 points - Which team is first to arrive at the mat?

And to show that they don't mean the same here are some examples from just this seasons games.

From Ep#1 the same week
15 points - Which team is the first to arrive at the Pit Stop?
5 points - Is that team the first to official check into the Pit Stop?

And here are some more from this season

Ep#2
10 points - Which team is the last to reach the Pit Stop?
and on the same game
5 points - Is that team eliminated?

Meaning that even on an elimination leg the last person to reach the Pit Stop might not be the team eliminated (for example in season 13, episode 3) Kelly & Christy are the last team to arrive at the Pit Stop, but they aren't eliminated because Mark & Bill are the last team to be able to check into the Pit Stop.

So arrive doesn't equal check in.  Now in some weeks all I use is arrive, and in those so far it has also matched the Check into Pit Stop (so there hasn't been any discussion).  But it always refers to getting to Phil, not getting checked in by Phil.

In most cases the answers for arrive at Pit Stop and check into the Pit Stop are going to be the same.  Heck even in cases of teams having to go back its' on occasion been the same (see All Stars episode 3, when D&K arrive at the Pit Stop in 4th have to leave to find the cluebox come back and still are in fourth, just as happened to Brent & Caite in the 1st french leg where they arrived in 6th, had to leave to get a clue and came back still in sixth.

The only one that would really make me think is season 15 when Zev & Justin arrived in first, checked in in first but had to go back to the mat and told they in fact have to go get their material before being allowed to continue with the race (and would no longer be considered 1st).

Or for that matter in that same episode.  Sam & Dan arrive in 2nd, are checked in 2nd but because of Zev & Just officially awarded 1st.

To hopefully explain better.

When I use a question, '"What teams arrives at the Pit Stop 3rd (or for that matter any number)"  I mean what time do they first get to Phil.

Not when they check into the Pit Stop.

When I say ,"What team checks into the Pit Stop 5th (or any number), I mean what position do teams official check in with.

Often when phil greets a team (using episode #1 of this season) he states Brent & Caite you are the 2nd team to arrive.  He then goes forward with stating how they aren't able to check in.

9 minutes later with Monique & Shawne he states, "Monique & Shawne your are team #2.  Stating not what order they arrived, but what order they officially placed.

In the last leg, Dan & Jordan are said by Phil to be Team #5.  Meaning they are officially the 5th team to check into the Pit Stop.  They weren't the 5th team to get to Phil.  They were the 6th as Brent & caite actually arrived at the Pit Stop 3rd (then left to finish the course).

heee... I still think they "stumbled across" the pitstop, not "arrived" at the Pitstop, but it is all semantics, so I'll live

I'm pretty certain teams were provided with tickets, because they were all going on the same flight.
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move
