apskip:
I see three decisions as instrumental for Bernie/Henry this episode:
1. what flights to book at HKG airport, including the decision to mirror Vince/Sam
2. the decisive choice of "culture" over brawn; I know Bernie could have lifted a 44 pound fish, but Henry has been a weakling throughout ARA3 and he wants to choose the cultural DETOUR instead. It wasn't shown but they were about 2 minutes later in obtaining that clue at the Cochin temple, so perhaps they did not want to do the same tasks as Vince/Sam (this assumes there was a way for them to find out such as bystenders as to where the vince/Sam cab was going)
3. this was minor and didn't ultimately cost them in flight choice, but the arguments over what sytem to use in searching the warehouse appeared to consume a lot of non-productive time; both are very stubborn and wanted their system to prevail
So Vince/Same parlayed their ahead position into 4th place and Bernie/Henry went home(or to where the final city is).
Bernie/Henry looked strong early in ARA3, but over time they no longer stood out from the pack. In that situation they were vulnerable to just one small mistake.

I thought it was 2:22PM in my last spoiler. It's 8:22AM actually. This is where the taxi driver got some mobile petrol.
Ida's watch is 8:35AM at the Fill Detour.
So they checked in between 9:30AM - 10AM plus a 30-minute penalty.

Peach, it's time for some analysis of where the leg after Pune will go. At that point we have only leg 10 and leg 11 left. It's possible, although unlikely, that both Oman and CapeTown could be one of those two. It would have to be Capetown then Oman to fufill the assumption that ARA races end in an Asian city(which CapeTown clearly isn't but Oman is). So I think it is highly likely that Oman will be one of those 2 remaining legs. Also, the airfare to CapeTown will be approximately double that to Oman and the airfare back to wherever will be that much higher if CapeTown is chosen.
The scenario I see as probable is Oman for leg 10 and an Asian city for leg 11. We'll know the answer in one week.
