:sucks  thanks banzai.  FWIW, Sugarcane is grown on a large scale in Pune District.   :jam:

The identification of Pune as the next destination does blow up the notions that the next 2 places were going to be Oman and CapeTown. Now one of them isn't unless ARA3 finishes in Oman, an Asian country.

Anyway, I had flight information prepared for Cochin to Oman and Cochin to CapeTown and both Oman and Capetown to Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar-Es-Salaam, and Arusha(Kiliminjaro International Airport that missed out on AR11). However, most of those are going to be non-applicable. What I do need to address is how to get from Cochin to Pune. The options are one of 3 flight combinations through Mumbai each day and rail travel. Rail is easy because there is only one train each day at 1300 arriving Pune on the third day just after midnight at 0040, a 36 hour trip. Flights require long connect time in Bombay except for the middle set:

AI691 COK BOM 0430 0615 connecting to 9W202 BOM PNQ 0955 1040

9W402 COK BOM 1300 1440 connecting to 9W101 BOM PNQ 1635 1710

9W404 COK BOM 1605 1745 connecting to Kingfisher Airlines IT3146 BOM PNQ 2215 2300

Coming out of Pune should involve flights to Mumbai connecting there to Muscat or CapeTown but I won't do those for a while.

It does look as though we have lost one of those two legs, both based on Introcaps which bums me out behind belief...

If you can't trust the Intro caps, what can you trust?? :funny:

On a slightly different subject, I came across this "amazing race for the clinically insane" while looking through autorickshaws.  :js:

I found a blog written by someone on this race last year and it cracked me up...definitely not for the faint of heart!

Zack.:
In keeping with the idea that this is possibly the most demanding TAR yet, I bet they travel by train.

I mean, we haven't seen anyone get groped in years!
