Kentuckians eliminated from 'Amazing Race'
HERALD-LEADER STAFF REPORT
The Gothtuckians' amazing race came to an end Sunday night.
Kynt Cothron and Vyxsin Fiala, the Louisville couple who stood out from their competitors on the CBS reality competition The Amazing Race because of their Goth style, were eliminated from the show after coming in last among the five remaining teams.
Bad luck appeared to haunt them through the entire leg, which took them from Italy to Mumbai, India. After starting the leg in last place, they were forced to perform a task that the other teams were allowed to skip because of a twist in the game's rules, but their fate was sealed when Cothron misunderstood a task's directions and was forced to backtrack, allowing another team to advance farther ahead of he and Fiala.
The couple did have one consolation, though: Host Phil Keoghan called the couple, who were fond of bold makeup and pink and black clothing, the most fashionable team in the show's 12 seasons.
