I get the opportunity to answer issues raised in several different posts:
1. Peach, sometimes it is 2 flights and sometimes it is 3 flights. It just depends on how many flights are available. On the AR11 flights from Miami to Quito I remember only 2 flights, one TACA and one American Airlines. There was another American flight possible, but it wasn't used.
2. GMAN, I think it is probable that tasks get completed late evening of July 9 so that the flight from Dublin to Amsterdam the morning of the 10th can be made to validate the sighting puddin mentioned.
3. On the flying time, 10 hours and 10 minutes is indeed the nonstop flight time from LAX to Dublin. However, for those going to Ireland via London Heathrow, their time in the air will be longer by 1 hour 20 minutes.
