Is BBUK fixed?
« on: July 13, 2006, 11:43:16 PM »
LIKE its Australian counterpart, Big Brother is causing a political stir in Britain.
Senior Labour MP Tony Cunningham is angry over what he sees as "scandalous fixing tactics" in the latest series.

"There is a genuine and realistic case here of the general public being duped," he said.

His comments followed the eviction of contestant Jonathan Leonard from the show's so-called secret house, next door to the Big Brother house.

Local reports said "viewers couldn't believe the fake sobbing" by contestant Aisleyne, when she nominated Jonathan.

The series has also come under attack for choosing some contestants who clearly have mental disorders, and exploiting them.

I don't think it is.  It'll be too hard to fix Big Brother because it's live.  And for the mental disorders, it wouldn't BE big brother without insane people.

I am not sure how this led TC to believe the show is fixed???
Because sometimes the way to feel good about yourself is by making someone else feel bad. I am tired of making others feel good about themselves.

The only way it could be 'fixed', is if the votes are not seriously counted and channel four just decides for themselves who to evict. That would be a scandel, but this news story doens't even touch on that so who knows why they think it's fixed.

I had to read it 3-4 times to understand the premise of the article.  I could see Channel 4 fixing the votes, just to keep in the interesting people.

Perhaps that is why Pete and Nikki will be in for a long time. I also think Mikey will go far. He's one of those that is completely going under the radar. I forget who mentioned it, but Susie could be suddenly taken out of the house during the night and no one would notice.

Who is Susie?   ???  Who cares about the golden ticket winner?  I think watching the golf channel is more interesting than her.

No kidding. She does nothing for the house and looks like shes bored all the time. If I were her husband and spent all the money I did to get her into the house Id be pissed. Of course, perhaps he did it so she would be gone for that long.

Good Point, Jeff.  If I was married to Susie, I'd of done the same thing.  Maybe Susie is trying to fly under the raydar.  I doubt the public is stupid enough not to notice Susie and how boring she is.  Is is just me or is the public voting out the interesting people.  I thought Lea, Lisa, and last Friday's evictee were interesting to watch.

Yea, they were interesting. So which interesting person will go next?

I think it'll be Mikey.  The only people in the game that interest me are Pete, Nikki, Mikey, Gyln, Aisleyne, and Jennie.  Everyone else can go and I won't care, especially Susie and Richard.  I kind of wished he went instead of Lea last week.

I don't think Mikey will go, he's too well liked. I think one of the newer people or maybe Aisleyne will go. She should be gone anyway.

My picks for those leaving in order are Jayne, Susie, Michael, and then Imogen.  After that I have no idea, it's hard to predict that far.  The public likes Aisleyne.

After her crying fit? Give me a break. I think the next to go is Imogen.
