I think I found the missing African American M/M team: Taylor and Purpose Green-Jones, husbands whose wedding went viral. Their social media gaps match filming dates for both pre and post COVID.

Not 100% sure about this one but one of the Caucasian M/M guys might be Ryan Ferguson, host of MTV's "Unlocking the Truth" who was wrongfully convicted of murder in 2001 for 10 years. He doesn't post on social media much, but he doesn't have any post from either of the filming dates. He also lives in Columbia, MO which would line up with the piece of info about that team flying to Chicago from St. Louis. I can't for the life of me find out who his partner could be so if anyone can help with that, that would be great!

That's the one. We had Ryan last year but couldn't quite get a hold of his partner. Can also confirm Taylor and Isaiah (that's his name). We are only missing one team now from the original run in 2020.

At the outset of leg 2, heading to Euston Station in London to board the overnight sleeper to Glasgow. Hope it helps with identifying as we now have 10 of the 11 teams. Here is the list below:

Just for context of who Spencer & Anthony are. They were one of the people that helped stop the Paris train terrorist attack that inspired the Clint Eastwood movie THE 15:17 TO PARIS. They also played themselves in the movie.

Dear lord, did they casted this season by recruiting random guests from the talkshows? Half of the teams from this season were in some talk show, this is ridicilous. I wonder if there are some applicants this season or it's all recruits.

Spencer and Anthony were honored in France and the United States for their heroic acts in stopping an armed terrorist on a train going from Germany to Paris. The movie 15:17 to Paris was created and directed by Clint Eastwood and is an autobiography of those events. They are two of three lifelong friends since middle school, who were reservists in the National Guard, and who were involved in their act of heroism in 2015 and the film was based on their book of the same name published in 2016.

Not the first time a hero was cast on TAR. Ron Young, a former POW during the Iraq War, raced in season 7 with a beauty queen, both were from South Carolina. His story was known to viewers at the time.

A couple of details mentioned in the current Wikipedia article about Spencer Stone.
In 2015, several months after the train terrorist event, Spencer was attacked and repeatedly stabbed in the back with life threatening injuries to his lungs, liver, and heart, requiring emergency open heart surgery.
In November 2020, he traveled to France to give testimony in the trial of the train terrorist and three accomplices. Before he was able to give his testimony he was hospitalized for undisclosed reasons and his testimony was delayed. Note this was several months after the production suspension for season 33. BTW, Spencer and his two friends not only received the Legion of Honor from France in 2015, they were naturalized as citizens of France in 2018. That 2020 hospitalization may be relevant to the resumption of production a few months ago.

Sorry to be a little bit of a pain in the butt here, but I was just doing a little background research on these "famous" contestants and when I came across Ryan's Wikipedia page, I discovered that he seemed to be born in Northern Territory, Australia. So, he's obviously gained US citizenship via residency for a certain period, a green card or through his parents's status?

He could also gain citizenship at birth if either parent had American citizenship at that point. By law, it’s automatic but the birth needs to be registered at a American consulate.

After all the cast has been doing recaps, etc. I find the teams were all recruited to some extent - either being "famous" on social media, appearances on network talk shows, or being contacted by casting people via social media. Disappointing for those fans that apply the regular route to get on TAR.
