If you know much about basketball, Karl Malone is a very controversial person, on court and off. He definitely comes with more baggage than a backpack! He could easily be one of the most controversial racers. Of course, that is sometimes good for ratings.

Just a quick post since I'm heading out to a meeting: the big African American guy doesn't look like Kay Malone. But maybe excitement clouded my vision

Or maybe he just looks different in photographs.
The Hawaiian girls look a bit like Kat from S17.

I agree, those "Hawaiian" girls have a lot of asian in them. But there is plenty of Japanese influence in Hawaii.

One of the pics sure looked like Ethan, and a couple of them seem to show the so-called "surfer dudes." Do we know if these are teams waiting for flights to leg 2, or out of Indonesia a few days later?

The blog entry was posted on the 22nd. I think this is from the first arrival at Jakarta where there were many spotters.

Good find, LoveRocked! It's hard to read from the Google translation (apparently a lot of slang) but the blogger seems to have grabbed information and at least one picture from us. I wonder if the other pictures are his or if they were similarly grabbed from a ekyekyyy web site?

There's exif available (and even gps, but you already knew it was Gambir); 4 p.m. on the 21st (give or take), and ekyekyyy can give us the exact camera correction.

yes it's when they arrived from Taipei
it's Tuesday, June 21st. They arrived at 2pm.
