How many legs did they make it through?

IIRC, they are allegedly the second team to be eliminated. Maybe Leg 2/3.  :duno:

Marked for Elimination is a version of the non-elimination leg that requires the NEL team 2 incurr a 30-min penalty if they did not check in first in the following leg. This was originally the second version of the NEL, but it has been brought back.

I believe weihen said that was a miscommunication...let's check? I am not yet convinced of that unless there was something I missed. ???

I believe we had a witness who saw Kynt/Vyxsin arrive the next leg (not in first), allowing Kisha/Jen to check in ahead of them? I thought this was our confirmation of the return of the MFE penalty?

Not necessarily. The Goths could have incurred a penalty for not following a rule, and had to wait. I think the biggest thing going for MFE instead of a Speedbump is that Uncle Bao or mad_joe, idr which one, told weihen that Phil said something about being MFE at the end of China Leg 1 IIRC.

This cannot be repeated enough times. Production no longer follows fixed hours for Pit Start releases. It could be 12h, it could be 36h, it could be 25h, 14min and 49s if they wanted it to be. They no longer go by simple fractions of the 24h day.

Again, I am not sure? I just remember weihen correcting himself here:

Some add information:
No speedbump this season, goth must come first next leg or they will receive a 30-mins  penalty.

I'm sorry he said he isn't sure about this...but he heard sth about 30mins.

So I think we need to see if weihen can confirm this now? Might be a MFE or might be a mistake penalty....just want to be SURE!!

Myanmar is not the kind of place for the race to visit right now, political unrest and controversy is still there.

I thnik it's a 24hrs pitstop...since teams started 4th leg in Lijiang right now after 3rd leg(this is not a rolling pitstop)...they should have a  long time rest.

Myanmar is highly unlikely.  Politically not the place to go, and not the easiest country to get permission to visit.

In the past 6 season, we've had 3-5 legs in Asia.  We've now had 4 so next leg could still be in Asia.  Europe is a very likely possibility.  The Middle East has lately been in the races filmed in the summer for some reason, so that seems a little less likely.

i think this is the right forum....says "speculation" and I'm completely speculating here but I found this article and wonder if it's clues of where the teams may be going this time.

“We’re thrilled the audience watching us sprint around the globe each week will continue to witness the breathtaking landscapes that serve as our backdrops, only now in high definition. Whether we’re racing alongside the crystal-white peaks of the Arctic Circle, the neon-lined skyscrapers of Japan, or the color-drenched domes of the Russian Kremlin, fans will enjoy a heightened viewing experience as we bring the world to their couch every Sunday night,” said Executive Producer and co-Creator Bertram van Munster."

that does sound suspicious since they went to Japan, but it could easily be a coincidence.  I did have a feeling they'd go to the artic circle for some reason, though I have no clue why.  But they were just in Russia on season 17.
