When do people think CBS will officially release the teams for TAR All-Stars?  The show starts in February.  Does CBS wait until January or announce information in the next few days?

my guess is sometime in early january. i am guessing we will see promo's come the first sunday of the wild card weekend on cbs then they promote the hell out of it then and during ncaa basketball.

I'm with Kogs -- it will still be a little while yet before an official CBS release. It seems doubtful that on the promo they'd say, "the teams are still secret," then release the names just a few days later.

Maybe All Stars will be like the first season without a fighting couple!!
I think Eric and Danielle are way to laid back to fight with each other. Maybe if they are on JVJ fight, i could also see Rob and Amber fighting if they fall behind, they admit in south Africa they werent even talking to one another on that leg.  My prediction is Rob and Amber do get yielded, and then just crumble making mistake after mistake after mistake.

I wonder how Jeremy/Dani feel not being on.  It would have been fun to see Eric/Danielle face off against Dani/Jeremy [i think].  The more i think of the final five the more i love it, i love me some Dustin and Kandice, i watched AR2 yesterday OD were so funny!, i loved the double dees [I still believe they would have slipped through to the final three had there been no yield]

However with these five teams, where is the drama, the excitment, i think they will all get along.  I deffinally see the blondes getting along with Oswlad and danny.  I think everyone will HATE Mirna, and then Mirna will be the villain.

I could see CBS trying to keep the teams a secret until the premiere of TAR - All Stars.  Generate a little more buzz and speculation.

more than likely a tes announcment with phil and a preview teaser from the starting line prob after the website is launched. the question is how will they promote during the nfl playoffs. do they want people excited and create buzz and basically use false advertising, or create buzz by announcing the cast and use teaser and tease the relationships

Well I am not so sure.  If hte show starts very late February tehn I expect a cast press release really no more then 4 weeks in advance if any that much.

Do we normally get a list more then a month in advance. And actual previews normally about two weeks before the typical starting date are rather common.

D & K certainly have some skills good with the locals and very charming, usually quick getting out of arports (which is important in the race, except for the final leg, when htey make you all leave customs supposedly at the same time), and they are very driven.

What I would like to see is them actually not using locals though.  It makes it hard to really judge a team that depends so highly on local assistance.  And while it is nice to see strong competitive female teams.  I want to see them do a Eric & Jeremy.  They used locals in one leg total for less then 15 miles, when no one had a map in a small south American town.  When they can navigate both on foot and in cars like that you will see me jumping up and down and praising them.

Personally I would rather them (or them team I love in whatever seasons) to make 95% of all navigation choices on their own.  If they losse and go out in leg 4 so be it, I personally would rather that happen then to see a team use locals more then any otehr team in race history and do really well).

I say use that charm in getting a fast cab or getting the best possible flight schedule or getting great directions (and they do have a ot of charm they can use), but enough of the grabbing a local to drive with them or to escort them or to pay a cab to lead the way.  I think all the teams last year from leg 6 and on used this way, way to much.  But they used it more times then any of the others.

Its one of the reasons I had a hard time really getting behind them as a fan.

I know for a fact someone on Sucks was contacting Dani, where she was tight lipped obout All Stars, but she wasnt on it if they were contacting threw email. Personally i liked Dani/JEremy ALOT better, but Danielle is good enough.  I want the Double Dees from New Yawk back!!

Cool Kogs, I don't keep up with either of CBS other series much (not at all for BB), so all I could compare it with was other normal seasons and when I remembered seeing material out.

Didn't see them at the airport on the way back (12 Dec), but I've a friend who stayed at the airport on the night of the 12th and left the morning of the 13th, so let's see if he's got anything for us!

A general-purpose filming permit is not required... location filming in public places does not require a general-purpose filming permit

I gotcher spoilers! Spoilers here! Hot off the plane!

My sister called me this morning (just before 9:00 Hawai'ii time). She's a flight attendant on Air Micronesia and said that a "bunch" of TAR All-Stars teams were on her flight from Guam to Honolulu. She was calling me from the plane, which had just landed.

She's not quite as rabid a TAR fan as I am, so she's not sure about all the teams, but here's what I know so far. She's coming over later on to look at the CBS web site for each season to see if she recognizes anybody else.

Based on what she told me and what I'd heard before, I think these are the second (later) group of sequestered teams.

On the flight:

Guidos (to whom she served drinks, as in alcohol, which she thought was strange when they were racing but then agreed when I said I thought they'd already been eliminated and were on their way to the finish line)

Uchenna/Joyce - Joyce was sitting up/not trying to sleep as she might be expected to do if they were still racing and she needed to get as much sleep as possible during down times. My sister asked Uchenna if there was anything she could do for him, and he in turn asked her if there was anything he could do for her like "give her an autograph." She somehow had the occasion to mention this to what she said was another team:

Ryan and Peter - I have no idea who this was. Kathy (sister) thinks is was a team but her description of them didn't sound familiar to me (tall/thin/blond + shorter/blondish). They said they'd been flying for a month and weren't supposed to acknowledge anything (like Uchenna had done when he'd offered an autograph, although obviously my sister knew who he was)

Allison and her boyfriend - I knew this couldn't really be Allison (Big Brother and TAR), so I got a description and I think it's Eric and Dani.

Danny/Oswald

Kevin and Drew, she THINKS

No female-only teams

Miscellaneous:

The flight was delayed, and nobody seemed upset about it.

They'd stayed at Anderson Air Force Base on Guam - had gotten in the previous morning and left the following day. I think they were probably on their way from Sequesterville location #2 somewhere in Asia, but that's just speculation.

No Rob/Amber or Teri/Ian or Dave/Mary on the flight as far as my sister could tell.

Does this mean that Mirna/Charla and the Beauty Queens are in the top 3? Who would be the 3rd team? Maybe one team was missed at the sighting in Malaysia because of a fast forward or something?

I do think it was JVJ, but why would you pray for that wouldnt you rather a fifth spot be open to someone like Rob and Amber or JVJ over Danielle.
Jill and Danielle both have accents another way to confuse them. The question is if the girl had bit boobs or not!

Doesnt sequester all get sequestered together, why would teams be missing?  Also i thought 4th and now a days 5th place dont get sequestered.
