EP 6: "Sleep Deprivation is Really Starting to Irritate Me." ( Wends @ 8:00 ET)

OK, I got myself frozen out above, so will continue:
Via Garibaldi which leads down to the Duomo.
CBS ran commercials all last night for TAR and I finished reviewing them and have found some more interesting things to ponder:
1. Shot of MO/JO leaving the Segesta Temple in the darkness of early morning (5:00AM?) They are wearing their jackets and have their backpacks on. He is carrying blue route info card. So are going down hill to car park and then off to where? Trapani and a charter flight to Catania?
2. Two scenes with Eric and Jeremy. Both are wearing light jackets and in the first scene there are no sun shadows as the run around an old stone wall blackened with age. In this scene neither has a backpack (left in the car?) and neither is holding a yellow or blue clue in their hand. In a later shot, Eric and Jeremy are at a gate to some piazza, the sun is now shining and Eric is now holding a yellow clue enverlope in his hand. Must surmise that they got the clue at the first location (old Roman ruins of some sort in or around Catania) and they look through the gate and then turn and start off again, so it looks like this is not the location they are looking for.
3. New scenes of Jeremy picking up swordfish with Green Shirt of Eric just on the frame line; Scene of Eric and Jeremy walking down street lined with fish stalls, which changes as the title is supered to show MO/JO coming down the same street.
4. Scene of Yolanda struggling with fish. This task should be a snap for Ray who carried a 110 pound bell of the stairs and across the plaza to the church with any help.
5. We now have confirmed six teams doing the DETOUR:
Selling fish - Fran and Barry. Also scene of Barry jumping with joy and laughing so it probably did not take them long to complete this task.
Carring fish - MO/JO (Jo is having trouble)
Eric/Jeremy
Ray/Yolanda
BJ/Tyler
Michelle/Lake
The only team unaccounted for at the detour iis David and Lori
6. Scene of David and Lori on the street somewhere. He is wearing black tee and she is in pink tee with red sweater. No sun so it could be early morning. She is carrying Yellow clue envelope; he is carrying white sheets of paper (background information for a task???)
7. Shot of Ray and Yolanda on a street. Low angle sun, long shadows, to me means early morning. They are carrying yellow route enverlope. If they are on Via Orlando they are far from either the Amphitheater at Piazza Stesicoro or the Merecado della Pescheria on Via Garibaldi.
8. At the ROADBLOCK we can now account for the following teams:
Fran and Barry
Eric and Jeremy
Lake and Michelle
BJ and Tyler
Ray and Yolanda
Missing are:
Mo and Jo
David and Lori (again)
9. If there is a Fast Forward, it now looks like the only team to be able to take it are the Nerds. In the past, the FF is included with the first task either Detour or Roadblock. Thus the team taking the FF only skips one task before going directly to the pit stop. In the first two or three TARS, teams could go for the FF right off the bat and skip two tasks. Doubt that a Yield will show up again in this Ep since there are only two during the entire race.
10. One other curious thing: in none of the shots of people on the street, doing tasks, or watching do we see any of the teams with their backpacks where they are supposed to be: on their backs. This leads me to believe that they are again driving cars and have left the packs in the cars. When teams in the past travel by taxi they almost always are shown taking out or putting in backpacks when the enter or leave cars. The only shot of a team with backpacks on is the shot of MO/JO leaving the Segesta Temple in the early morning.

Looking again at the commercials in the light of day (the real ones!) it almost shows clearly that some teams are approaching the fish market when it is still fairly early in the day. Note the scenes of Ray and Yolanda on the street with very long shadows and with the sun in their faces; the shot of Yolanda carrying the swordfish and the sun is shining right into her eyes; the silhouette of two people carrying swordfish which appear to be the Hippies, with again very long low angle shadows, and finally the scene of Eric and Jeremy (not the first one when they are running around a black, stone wall, but the one at the gate) you can see that the "park, square, piazza, whatever) is in shadow and the sun is coming from the left and lights the building up to the right completely. So the boys must be at the gate on the north side looking south with the sun coming from the east.
The only way as far as I can determine for all these teams, especially Rayanda who arrived at the pit stop at about 7:00PM, to get to Catania while it is still early or mid-morning is to fly there from Palermo or Trapani. Most likely by pre-arranged charter flights scheduled by TPTB to leave at pre-determined hours of 6:00, 7:00 and 8:00AM. This would bunch the teams up somewhat with BJ/Tyler, Eric/Jeremy and MO/JO on the first flight; Fran/Barry, Lake/Michelle, on the second flight and Dave/Lori and Ray/Yolanda on the last flight.
There is still another possibility, way out but not out of all possibility, is that the teams have to drive somewhere else first, this could be around Mt. Etna, or in Agrigento, or Villa Imperiale del Casale, do tasks we have no knowledge of and then continue on to Catania and are all bunched up waiting for the fish market to open at 5:00AM. Thus they have to spend another night sleeping in the open and leads to someone saying "Sleep Deprivation is Really Starting to Irritate Me!"

So again Eirc and Jeremy and BJ and Tyler will pretty much be safe for the fifth week in a row. I never though i would say this but I WANT BUNCHING BACK!!! This season has become the lamest season.
