Here's a pull from Airwise on Nov 14th. Looks like there was a very early and efficient flight that arrives at 10:15 am.

I'm thinking more and more that the Massimo isn't just coincidental street footage and that there's a task (or cluebox) at or near the theater. You can see in the frame above

and in the promo footage (esp. the short promo) that Fran spots something off-frame and they both start to run.

Teams instructed to fly from Munich to Palermo, proceed to the Massimo theater where they will receive their next clue - but it doesn't fit the time unless Fran/B are on a later flight.

If they go for the FF, it still doesn't fit the time, it couldn't be so late. I don't know...

If Fran/B on same flight as everyone and there is a FF, they should finish ahead of BJ/T.

Here’s what the lead teams should do:

Assuming they start by 3:00 am, drive to Milan Italy. The Michelin route says 5 hr 22 min but if you rework the Autobahn parts going 100 mph you will get there in 3 hours and 23 min. That allows you to catch one of the two 6:55 am flight from Milan to Palermo, arriving there at 8:25 am!!

I hope BJ & Tyler do this.

But how do you know they will be provided with cars? Maybe the Mercedes have already been returned. Also how are they going to figure all this out quickly at 3am without internet access? I say this is unlikely.

If they arrive via Milan at 8:25, they should be at Segesta even earlier, doesn't seem right...

Libra, the drive to Milan idea is kind of hypothetical.

GMan, I don't get the same results as you on the driving distance to Segesta. I'm seeing about 43 miles.

Segesta is an abandoned ancient city located in the province of Trapani, about 74 kilometers southwest of Palermo, roughly an hour's drive from the capital.

At Segesta's archaeological park, there's a shuttle bus to take you from the parking area to the monuments.

I have to ask. Are we sure they are on the way to the theater? Could they be finsihed with the roadblock heading out and/or heading towards the pitstop (if it is at the temple nearby)?

I don't know if you can do many klicks at 166kph since the map does not show it, but that is some rugged, high, alpine roads one must travel across the Alps from Munich to Milan. The estimated time may not be that far off. Just an opinion! They probably would only get a clue which tells them to go to the Munich Ariport and fly to Palermo, Italy. And without access to airline information until the reach the airport where they turn the cars in before approaching the ticket counter, even a Harvard man might not be able to pull this one off. Nice thought though.
