The donkey can ride Mafias way back in the 20th century.

Just caught something in the CBS TGAR9 promo last night. There is a shot of David walking on the street in a tight closeup (he has his red shirt on, and his face is dark with a heavy five o'clock shadow! (doesn't mean much these days since most honcho men have glorious five o'clock shadows - sell your Gillette stock.) But the interesting thing is that in the background you can see that in front of many of the buildings the decorative lights are now on. If they are on timers it means that it is just about sunset, which means it is around 4:45PM. AND, if David is still in Palermo, he has a 100 mile drive on motorway A29 which would take him at least two hours to find the Segesta Greek Theater. And if they look at the map and see that by taking routes S186 amd S113 the distance is only about 60 miles as the crow flies, and if they take this route they will very soon learn that these side roads climb and wind around the mountains and probably take a good deal more time to drive.
So if the Nerds are still in Palermo at sunset and haven't even gone to pick up their car yet, let alone drive to Segesta, they must be hours away from completing the ROADBLOCK which certainly accounts for why Lori is there by herself in the pitch black night trying to complete the task.
Are we running into the situation we had in Norway and in Egypt where Phil had to come out and tell the teams who were stuck in the Roadblock, that the gig is up and the game is over for them???

I've been trying to find those buildings with the lights Gman , no luck yet ..they could be near the harbor ? I dunno but those lights sure are on which is not a good sign for L&D , it also maybe they switched tasks from Wring to Ring at some point ? Whatever I think they are doomed ... ;), they had that bad Karma with Mo-Jo by not sharing the route info .
Like you I'm starting to think this maybe a ELIM with no FF with all that coming in the next episode , leg 2 of Sicily .
Also as someone pointed out the Bells are the sure thing task , but it looks like E&J have a pretty good lead again and lucked out at Wring , thanks to Chateau and a hinky they most likely finish first along with the Ringers , Mo-Jo , Rayolanda . I also think FranknBarry get lucky with the Wring as we see them running past David & Lori in the opposite direction , call it another hinky .

TuttoCitta has some virtual Palermo tours, but I didn't see anything useful.
Checking the arrivals at Palermo it seems the racers won't have any problems catching a flight through either Alitalia or Air One (a Lufthansa partner).
puddin:
Slowhatch I'm airline stupid , do you think they will bunch up or will some teams get a earlier flight than the others ?
