EP5 Title : "Good Thing I Took That Human Anatomy Class in High School"
Slowhatch:
If I'm reading the sites correctly, there's a bunch of flights out of Munich (connecting through Rome) in the 8-10 a.m. time frame (I'm assuming a morning departure). Then there's a gap with some more flights starting at around 12:30-2. I don't have the mat times but just judging by the daylight there's a couple hours gap between first and last place, so the boys and L/M might get a jump on the rest.

When Eric & Jeremy were putting on Lederhosen one of their wristwatches said 2:17.
Slowhatch, that arrival board for Palermo is the coolest I've ever seen. Thanks!
gingerman28:
On November 14 the following morning flights left Munich (MUC) for Palermo (PMO):
LH 3896 Depart 7:05AM AR PMO via MXP at 11:20AM
LH 3856 Depart 9:25AM AR PMO via FCO at 1:25PM
LH 3856 Depart 9:25PM AR PMO via FCO at 2:00PM
LH 2830 Depart 9:25PM AR PMO via FCO at 2:00PM
AZ 437 depart 11:15AM AR PMO via FCO at 3:40PM
Since the teams all seemed to be bunched up doing the wring bit (The Double Dees who left last are together with LakeMichelle who left third) I would surmise that all eight teams were able to catch the 7:05AM Lufthansa flight. I estimate that the Beach Boys finished about 3:30PM and the Double Dees after sunset when it was dark at say 5:30PM or 6:00PM which would mean they could leave by 6:00AM and hopefully catch the same flight as the others. I seriously doubt that TPTBV would want the Beach Boys to race out ahead by two or three hours once again.
Keeping in mind that sunset is arround 4:45PM if teams did not arrive until 1:30PM or 2:00PM would they have enough time to travel to Teatro Massimo, complete the Detour by either ringing or wringing, get their car, drive the 100 miles or so down motor way A29, park walk up hill to the Segesta Theatre, assemble the statue, walk the 1.2 miles to the Doric Temple and complete all these tasks while it was still light (MO/JO and the Beach Boys)?
The church we have been searching for may be Santa Maria della Catena which is located in the Cala quarter overlooking the ancient harbor. At one time the chains which used to close off the area were stored in the church. And we seem to have some pix of people near the harbor. Ray looks to be loading/unloading the bell with the harbor in the back ground.
