CBS could be announcing a Celebrity Big Brother next week! It's about time they did this. There has been Celebrity Big Brothers elsewhere in the world (UK, Australia), and I think it's amazing that the US is about to join in on this... Ok I read the article
Will this show be Big Brother 7, or will there be two versions of the series airing this year? Will CBS use regular celebrities instead of past all-star cast members, as was rumored? Might the American celebrities mentioned as possible cast members for the new UK celebrity show be cast members?

Now if its 2 BB's this season that I can handle , cripes my life as I know it would be over :cocky:

Are they going to bulid another house for the 2nd version? That doesn't make much sense to me, the 'old' house was tore down! Chances of 2 BB's IMO, is very slim!

What if its like a special BB ? Like it lasts for a month or what if it was already filmed ..I can't grasp this ..no matter any BB news is GREAT news for us BB addicts

It sounds like a special editon of Big Brother, probably lasting a few weeks, instead of months. Australia and the UK have aired special celebrity editions of BB outside of summer, probably as stunt programming. I am putting all my marbles on the idea that this 'abbreviated', celebrity edition will air during the Olympics, possibly as a nightly event (think "I'm a Celebrity-Get Me Out of Here!"). And, back to Survivor, they have introduced contestants in the past at an early date before (1 and 1/2 months before the premiere of Survivor: Guatemala - The Maya Empire, for example), so the February 2 idea (I think OLN removed the premiere date?) may not happen at all. Celebrity Big Brother will take the reins during the Olympics, with Survivor: Panama - Exile Island to follow. My prediction...

CBS needed another so called Skein ..if this Celebrity addition of BB is real and not a typo maybe CBS is going to try to compete with the likes of American Idol ? I just find it odd that CBS hasn't hyped this up ..I just can't find any news about it from CBS

I would be in BB heaven if there were 2 shows this season. Maybe they realize that there are those of us who LIKE the show. LOL.

What celebrity would you like to see on BB if it is a celebrity season?

I would like to see if Jessica Simpson could make it.

Okay now my male suggestion Larry the Cable Guy. He would drive everyone nuts with saying Get r Done and destract everyone by making them laugh.

Now on to who would be great to look at ....what is the guys name that played in Sweet Home Alabama? That guy.....I think his name is Lucas or that might be his last name. LOL. I don't know the name, but hey atleast I remember the face? LOL.

It would be quite nice if they had past Big Brother castmates enter the house again. The celebrities inside the house could be D-list people who have no life.

well basically i am from the UK and we had our UK celeb BB last month (we had your dennis rodman and Traci Bingham from baywatch.) no none of us knew who they were until BB either!!! But anyway ppl my point is that the only reason celebs use BB is to raise their profile. E.g George Galloway - one of our contestants is an extremeist politician who was in it to gain interest, which he did. Michael Barrymore, a shamed drug using ex tv presenter who came out as gay just as a man died at one of his parties. he left the uk and came back to raise his profile.

in the USA, i think if celeb edition was to happe, then fair enough maculy culkin and anna nicole i.e those who need to raise their profile would be on the show. but as usa bb is so much mor ecomplex (and in my opinion far superior) i dont think it would acheive the same outcome as UK BB is based on audience voting whereas USA isn't/ I would like a Celeb BB in USA pretty much for the only reason that because last season was soooooo awesome I am dying for another season!!!! there has been very few updates in the last month so if ayone hears anything remotely spoilerish etc PPPPLLLZZZZ POST!!!!!
