vincent theory bogus. he was on screen once when the monster appeared

The broke the plane into quaters
front end- where the pilot was
front middle - the 47 survivors
Back middle - tallies
back end - caves where the luggage was

so unless someone was thrown from the plane into the middle of the jungle the only new characters from Oceniac 815 could come from a group that supposedly left the front end before Jack, Charlie, and Kate arrived.

I wonder what happened to Jack's dad..they let the story line die from him being on the island

'Lost' will go on without murderous Michael

By TERRY MORROW
Scripps Howard News Service
02-JUN-06

Actor Harold Perrineau says he won't be back on "Lost" when it returns in the fall.

"As of so far, I am not back next season," says the actor whose character, Michael, sailed off with his son, Walt, during the ABC show's May 24 finale. "I am not off the show, but I am not back next season ... and I may not ever be back."

Perrineau, who has been central to the "Lost" storyline in recent weeks, says he is free to pursue other work. He is no longer under contract with "Lost." He says producers told him weeks ago that he was being written off the show.

However, he also knew of a storyline idea in which Michael, once he got home, attempts to get back to the island. Apparently that storyline is not planned for next season, he says.

"I have no idea what is going on now," he says.

The actor, whose credits include the HBO series "Oz" and the "Matrix" film series, says he and his family have left Hawaii, where "Lost" is shot. He is now in New York City and mulling offers.

In the season finale, Michael and Walt were reunited before leaving the island on a boat.

In recent episodes, Michael shocked viewers by murdering two newcomers, Ana Lucia and Libby (Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros), and leading others into a trap.

When Michael departed the island, he left behind three of the show's most popular characters _ Jack, Kate and Sawyer _ who were being held captive by a mysterious group living on the other side of the island called The Others.

It was not clear whether Michael and Walt were actually going to leave the island and go home (as The Others had instructed them to do) or if they'd go back to their camp to get help.

"I watched the show, and even I was confused," says Perrineau.

"Sometimes what we get in the script is not what we see on the screen."

He says the parting shot of Michael and Walt leaving the island was "very clear" in the script.

"There was no doubt we were ... going home," Perrineau says. "But when I watched it, I thought, 'well, does he get off the island?'

"'Is he going to go out a couple of miles (into the sea) and turn around, come back and get help (for the hostages)?' Come on. Even I was confused by what I saw."

Perrineau says he was "a little confused" when producers told him that Michael was being written off.

"They explained to me how cool it was for someone to actually get off the island," he says. "It is cool, but it's not exactly what I saw in terms of the story."

I think they will find a way to use him sometime in the future.

Maybe he will be sitting in a mental hospital looking at an island in a snow globe and we will get The St. Elsewhere ending again!!!  JK.  I know they want to focus on different characters next season and the Michael story will be pushed to the side but I am not sure how you can just let him go and never finish his story.  Unless we see the boat blow up right away next season I will take the news with a grain of salt and take a wait and see approach.

I wonder who we'll see more of next season. Will we even see the other side with Hurley or will they focus mainly on the 'others'.

Naveen gets to grind.

http://joblo.com/index.php?id=11639

Naveen Andrews, who plays former Iraqi soldier/torturer Sayid on ABC's insanely huge hit "Lost", has joined the cast of Robert Rodriguez' and Quentin Tarantino's two-part old school horror compilation GRIND HOUSE. More specifically, he'll be joining the cast of Rodriguez' zombie flick PLANET TERROR as "a badass military scientist", starring alongside Freddy Rodriguez, Rose McGowan, Josh Brolin, Marley Shelton, Michael Biehn, Stacy Ferguson, Jeff Fahey and Michael Parks. Last month, an abrupt halt in PLANET TERROR's production  sparked speculation over whether an increasing budget and falling behind schedule had forced production to shut down. However, it was revealed that Rodriguez was neither over-budget nor behind schedule but merely stopped production to prepare for an art exhibition he created with Mexican muralist George Yepes. Production is expected to resume sometime soon. Aside from Mickey Rourke and Zoe Bell, there's been no further casting announcements on Tarantino's slasher segment DEATH PROOF. GRIND HOUSE is set for release April 6th, 2007.

the first thing desmond asked Locke was 'are you him?'

that's the first thing desmond was asked when he woke up....

wonder who him is and what relevance it has...I see desmond being the leader on the other side of the island.

Desmond, Hurley, Sayid, and Charlie that is

I think Desmond asked that because that was what he was asked when he first entered the hatch.  I think he was just looking for his replacement.  Since now we know he had the boat he was looking for his replacement to get to the boat and get out of there.  That was why there was that snowman joke which I guess was the code for the replacement to say to let the people in the hatch know they were there to replace them.

Was the joke asked first or the "are you him" line?

You would think he would just ask the joke rather then just
are you him. I guessits just something we will have to wait and
have answered in a later season. Maybe it will be answered in
the zombie season...podcast joke for those who listen.

Question: Any juicy stuff for the fall season of Lost?  — Mary

Ausiello: AA reader Angela H. called my attention to the Retrievers of Truth website from the Hanso Foundation, which may provide some clues as to what secret Vincent's been keeping from his two-legged friends. Angela also urges everyone to "sign up for the newsletter," which she claims is even "spookier" than the site itself. All together now: thanks, Angela! Also, if you haven't listened to the last Lost podcast of the season yet, I urge you to do so ASAP. Damon and Carlton dished out loads of prattle about next season.

I think the relevance of the eyes have something to do with George Orwell's "1984" in which the symbol for Big Brother (I'm not alluding to the reality show) is a single eyeball.  The writers of LOST like to put in alot of literary references, although it is unclear how that goes along with the storyline.  My interpretation of the eye in the beginning of the episode is that the only people that can see the island are the inhabitors.  As Henry Gale said, "God can't see this island as well as anyone outside this island can."

Vincent rocks!  I wish I saw him more in Season 2.

I believe that during one of the podcast they said that the
focusing in on the eye was a cue to who the flashback episode
was going to be about. but i could be wrong, there could be more
then one meaning though too.

Lost to Be Turned Into a Movie?  7/4/06

The makers of Lost want to end the hit TV show after a maximum of five years and are planning a feature-length movie spin-off.

Co-creator Damon Lindelof is so worried producers and studio executives will drag the show out he is making his opinion on the matter clear now.

He says, "We'd love to end the show after four year, five years tops and do a movie."

I don't have a problem with that. Better to end the show on a high note, than to let it jump the shark.
