Teams arrive at the start of the race by New York Water Taxis.

According to this official Water Taxi site the taxis have a regular stop at Fulton Ferry Landing, consistent with Slowhatch's photo analysis.

So much for any idea of a "race around the world" covering 30,000 miles!!

Bummer

Looks like the furthest they could go would be down to Central America (still part of North America) back up to the West Coast including a sky-diving stunt in Arizona then on to Grand Teton National Park (Jackson, Wyoming) on to Montreal, Toronto and a possible finish in Boston.

But they do include in the last background shots of Big Ben in London, The Colosseum in Rome, and it looks like St. Basel's Cathedral in Moscow.  But probably just to keep the theme of "around the world in 30 days" alive. And it looks like a completely different opening for TAR8Family Edition replacing the former traditional green and yellow wolrd map.

At the moment it is not grabbing my undivided attention.

Skydive AZ mentions at their site--http://www.skydiveaz.com/filmoffice.html--that their people and aircraft can be rented out worldwide, so Eloy AZ isn't necessarily in. According to the site mentioned by Chateau, the five taxis in the V-formation heading south between the U.N. and Roosevelt Island represents nearly the entire fleet; I'm still certain of the Early Show footage, but I don't know how (or if) Governors Island will fit in.

Why recycle skydive with Drew or Derek from TAR3EP1? Another attempt to mislead the spoilers?

Scenes 24 and 25 match up with spoiler spotting a "black family" with small child at Eastern Mountain Sports, 591 Broadway, NYC.
