Is CBS trying to screw its viewers?
« on: August 05, 2005, 11:03:22 AM »
Someone at another message board might have something going on here. Read this:

Quote
It's going to be who "CBS" wants back in. America might be voting, but no one is actually seeing the results so they will do what they think will be good for Ratings.

Could this mean that Eric will come back in the house Thursday night? If this is true, then I'm not watching. The Evil Empire will rule all in the house. The damn cult will win.
I thought that when we fought, I was to blame
Now I know you play a different game
I've seen you dance with danger; still wanting more

I guess I am the lone soldier for the Maggie, Ivette, and Beau group.  Don't get me wrong Kaysar is great and I did vote for him to go back in, but that was purely based on that he did the expectable and stirred things up.  To be quite honest with you the first week he was in the house they were the ones who gave him the time of day.  Rachel knows that she screwed up by putting him up and so now she wants him on her side.  There are no BB boards were anyone is on the "Cappy Crew", but me and I am used to it.  LOL.

CBS is going to do what CBS wants to do.  Did you know you can just vote as many times as you want and there is nothing to indicate who is getting the most votes?  We will never know for sure.  Also, that have that disclaimer attached to it when you vote.  It cracks me up.

That's my whole point they won't bring Eric back regardless.  It will be Kaysar.

First off,  _^% _^% _^% to the Forum!  Happy to have you here and I'm enjoying your posts!  (^.#

Re: the disclaimer, I think that is only for cell phone voters, not online voters.

I've looked all over the site to see if there's any voting rules, but haven't seen any!!  Like you, I wish they'd give the poll voting results.  I hadn't even thought about CBS putting who THEY want back in the House for ratings & may be the reason we're not seeing poll results!
Hmmm...hope that's not true!  (%#
Maybe we should contact CBS & request they show us the results??  }}

Big Brother 6 – Bad News for Kaysar in America’s Choice Vote?

The CBS Big Brother website has a fan poll asking “Which HouseGuest will be evicted next?”  The radio buttons for Ashlea, Kaysar, and Michael are blocked out so that fans cannot vote for them.  What is unusual is that Eric’s radio button is not blocked out, even though he left the house before Kaysar.  Another fan poll on the CBS Big Brother website asks “Which Houseguest will win the Grand Prize?”  Again the radio buttons for Ashlea, Kaysar, and Michael are blocked out, while Eric’s radio button is still active.  Is this a sign that Eric will be re-entering the house, hence, he is the only one of the previously evicted houseguest that could be evicted again or win the Grand Prize.

In another sign of potential impending doom, VotefortheWorst.com is encouraging people to vote for Eric.  Even VotefortheWorst.com admits “we know no one stands a chance to get back in besides Kaysar,” but then again stranger things have happened during reality TV viewer votes.

Even though the CBS Big Brother website error is likely just an innocent mistake, there has been some confusion over if multiple viewer votes are allowed.  Realityblurred.com first reported on information from CBS that multiple votes were not allowed, but later updated the report with information that the CBS House Calls program apparently had information that multiple votes were allowed.  During the most recent Big Brother broadcast, Julie Chen gave no indication that multiple voting wasn’t allowed, so many fans have been voting multiple times.  The official CBS press release on America’s Choice is also a little unclear and simply states, “Other restrictions on voting may apply,” and “All decisions by CBS regarding the vote and the results are final and not subject to challenge or appeal.”

Assuming that CBS is going to try to eliminate bulk voting, then to weed our multiple votes in the online portion of the poll could be a virtually impossible task.  CBS might be able to eliminate multiple votes coming from the same IP address, but what about users who use technology to vote through multiple IP addresses.  A handful of users that know how to manipulate online polls could substantially impact the results.

Assuming that CBS is allowing bulk voting, there is always the possibility that fire departments could be rallying around Eric.  Some Eric fans could be voting around the clock to get Eric back in the competition.  While Kaysar fans could figure that Kaysar is a lock and not bother to vote repeatedly.  Who will re-enter the Big Brother house could come down to a very close vote.

Check out the Who's going to win the Grand Prize voting section.  You can select Eric's name but not Kaysar or Michael.
Somethings fishy here.

I guess none of us will really know, but it is worth taking Ruday's suggestion and contacting CBS to get the voting scores posted on the website.

*thinking to herself*

Kaysar's going to be back. Think positive.

Well...he's going to lose some support...for only a day. I'm on the road all day tomorrow. Going up to New York for the week. I promise I'll give him support up there, too. I'll fight for his return to the house! _-^ ]*]

"I guess none of us will really know, but it is worth taking Ruday's suggestion and contacting CBS to get the voting scores posted on the website."

I just wrote my complaint to CBS not only about the voting results, but the grayed out names except Eric's, and the specs going on about the voting being rigged for Eric.  I raised cain!
]*]  I know CBS won't answer, but I feel better getting it off my chest.  In the meantime, I'll keep voting for Kaysar & hope and pray the Eric rumor is false speculation.   But if Eric does end up baaak...??
well...I think I'll go sleep on that one...
(Ok Ruday, just calm down.  ]:,  Breathe Breathe Breathe. )

Okay guys you are starting to concern me.  Do not give up hope.  That is all we have at this point.  We must remain positive.  Remember to breathe  ]:,, smile  :cheeky:, and think happy thoughts  :)* |#' :].  Okay so we aren't in neverland, but I do believe Kaysar will be back.  I will be writing to CBS in just a few minutes.  Is there anyone we could start a petition?  We must bombard CBS with what we the viewers want.

Yeh, Nuala...I'm remembering to breathe!  You are right...we mustn't give up hope and we MUST be postive!  :t-up:

I'm glad you also wrote to CBS. Cool!

A petition...hummm...do we have enough time to do that?  The deadline is Wed 8/10 at 12noon PT.  I'm not sure how we even get it going.  Start here?  Then pass it on to other reality tv sites??  Only thing is...would the Eric lovers do the same thing?  Would that hinder the Kaysar lovers' petition efforts?  ROB....PUDDIN...TREVOR........HELP!  :<(

Well for now, I must leave for a bit.  Will ponder on your suggestion, Nuala!  :nods:

I don't understand when BB Rules Changed when did they start allowing house guests put there hands on another house guest?  Janelle the lazy queen pushed Beau and you even showed it on air tonight. Then Janelle just about ripped Jennifer's hand off when she grabbed the key from her. I don't think that is good game playing at all. Plus when Janelle had her #300 upside down and Julie asked her to put it up right she changed  it to 275 was it Howie or Rachel who let her know what to put. Also when Janelle finally decided to get out of the gold room out from having her face in the bible. It was only to eat if someone had started cooking or last to cause trouble. Im glad it's a short week for HOH she should'nt even still be  in the house but what do I know I'v only watched all the Big Brother shows even first season. Janelle also told her clan that she said in DR if they let one of those bitches win she wouldn't watch any more and she was one big fan. But when one of the other house guests asked about the last seasons she didn't seem to know she would say I must not have seen that onel
I don't agree as to how Jennfer played the game last week but my gosh with them being so dumb the other team was sure a fine example of poor sports. Let alone how Howie abused April and Janelle threating to shoot April and her little dog too. Janelle laughing to day when Howie told Janelle and Rachel lazy because they didn't help with the housework which wasn't trun Ivette said "Im not cleaning this toilet if she Janelle  does keep taking laxitives at night and ****ting all over the toilet" and I sure don't blame Ivette for saying that. Janelle then looking at Howie as she try's to fix her fake hair. Saying I never have cleaned and Im not going to. She should have brought her maid along oh I forgot that was probably Ashleea the way Janelle dogged her after she left the house.
Also do you remember that Rachel lied to Eric that Michel was in the HOH room putting Eric down which he was but he wasn't threating his family. Which is what Rachel lied about and that is why when Micheal was staring down Eric to start a fight Eric was so mad. Didn't Rachel know what side she was already going with at that time.
Im glad I signed  up and paid to watch the live feeds this season but I don't think I will do that again.
Also Howie is just as bad if not worse than Michael was with the women  of the house and the  subject matter he has as.
