Phil: Two teams collaborated, and three teams formed an alliance of their own. In Lucknow, Ron/Kelly feuded and Rob got feisty with the locals. Gretchen grappled with a tough roadblock, then the couple was mobbed by adoring locals. Frontrunners Rob/Amber checked in to what they thought was a pitstop, but it was a twist (and the eyebrows of death).

Five teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

Recrap of last week's "end."
Phil: Welcome to Lucknow. Here's your other clue.
Rob: Make your way to the train station across the street.
Phil: They'll board a train at the end of platform #2.

Ron/Kelly ricksha their way to what they think is the pitstop.
Phil: Not over yet. Here's a clue.
Ron: Whoa.

Phil: Uchenna/Joyce, here's your next clue.
Joyce: What a trick!! Like, what?


Phil: Lynn/Alex, this leg is not over.
Both: Okay. It's been going on for days.


Mer/Gr finish up the tea serve.
Completed.
Back they go with the cart.
CLUE: Make your way to Phil and the mat.
They get a taxi. Or at least they yell for one.
Gr conf: These people here have been so inspirational. So willing to help us.

Gretchen and Meredith still begging for a cab, "praying we're still in the race."
Meanwhile everyone else rushes to Platform #2.

Phil: Meredith/Gretchen, your race is not over yet. Are you a little shocked?
Gretchen: Omigod!
Mer conf: No announcement that we were eliminated! We were so joyful!

Rob: The train boards at 9:00 at night. Pretty much everyone will get here by that time.

(It's still daytime.)

Meredith: We got all the time in the world!!


EQUALIZER.
9:00 arrives and all five teams are on the same train.
ETA: The ride is 24 hours.

Meredith: It says "wait patiently for our next clue."

Onboard, while they sleep, someone brings them each a clue.

All, CLUE: Search for your next clue at Jodhpur train station.
On the train, Uchenna assumes the "Sheik" look
Rob/Amber and Ron/Kelly share pleasantries on a social car.
Amber conf: We have a lot of respect for each other.
Rob conf: But we want to win!

Finally in Jodhpur, it's dark.
Rob/Amber CLUE: Make your way to the Sardar Market.
Phil: Find the clock tower. Go to the first floor balcony for the next clue.

Fast Forward .. OH boy .. that was not Joyces head ..we will see ..

Teams get ready to check into the hotel.
Rob gets directions.
Rob asks a man to take him as a guide.
Rob: How much?
Man: Free of charge.
Rob: Thanks, buddy! Sounds good!

FIREWORKS.

Gretchen, f rom a balcony above the street: Wonderful!
Lynn/Alex "dancing with these men. Absolutely amazing."


DAYBREAK.
Teams marvel at the nice weather.
Rob: Make sure they don't steal "Sunjee."
Rob gets Sunjee to agree he's with them and no one else.

Bell tower.
Narrow stairway.

CLUES, not read ...Rob/Amber
Uchenna/Joyce
Gretchen: FAST FORWARD!
Phil: Make your way 10 1/2 miles to a temple, engage in a Hindu ritual of having your head shaved. Teams won't know it's head shaving until they've arrived. When both team members are bald, they may proceed to the next pitstop.

Uchenna: We're going after the Fast Forward!

DETOUR: Trunk, or dunk.
Trunk: Choose an elephant statue weighing 600 pounds, transport it 1/2 mile to a temple. Priest hands you the next clue.
Dunk: Travel to this factory, tye-dye these white sheets. CLue can be clearly read when the sheets are untied. The clue only appears on 1 sheet in 25. Could take a long time.

Lynn/Alex going for the Fast Forward.
Rob: Elephants.
Gretchen: Elephants.
Ron/Kelly eschew the FF.

Uchenna gets a cab to travel the 10 1/2 miles to the FAST FORWARD.

Meredith/Gretchen run to where the statues are.
Rob/Amber start to push.
Annoying clarinet music plays.
Brings back memories of "The Sheltering Sky."

Lynn: You know Uchenna is going for the FF. They only have to arrive 1 minute ahead of us.
Lynn/Alex get their cabbie to turn around.
They'll DETOUR.

In cab, Uchenna: We're gonna do the fast forward!
Joyce: This is a real gamble right here!
Gretchen: Push! Push!
Locals help.
Rob: Sunjeet! Tell these people to help us! PUSH!
Gretchen: Get out of the way! Push!
Gretchen rides the damn thing like a queen.
Lynn/Alex are having fun getting started.
Meredith pushes and seems to be having no fun at all.
Gretchen: Get out the way!! Meredith? Meredith? We have a bad elephant!
He's exhausted.
They stop.

Rob/Amber are both on ground level, pushing, as are Lynn/Alex.
Gretchen: WE NEED BIG PEOPLE!
Damn. Maybe if you'd get your fat a$$ off!

In cab, Uchenna/Joyce head toward the FF.

Rob: Push! Push! You see them? It's tough organizing Indian labor!
Gretchen: Psh! How far is this place!

Joyce, reading: Traditional good-fortune ritual. I hope it's not a head shaving.
Uchenna ... lol

CLUE, Ron/Kelly: Travel by ricksha to Deora Krishi Farm.
Phil: Local festival site. Next clue is there.
Rob/AMber get the clue in 2nd.
Sunjeet abandons them temporarily but they convince him to ride along.

Uchenna/Joyce arrive.
Uchenna: Is there a wise man here?
Man: Temple. Over there.
They went to the wrong hill, and must climb some stairs.

Lynn/Alex finish the elephant push in 3rd.
Meredith/Gretchen pooped, almost in fourth, but stop.
Kelly yelling out of the ricksha: HELP THEM! (In other words, she wants someone to help Meredith push Gretchen!)

Amber: At least we have Sonjeet (or Sondu, or whoever) in our car!

U/J go up the wrong set of steps and head back down.

Rickshas arrive in rapid sequence.
Rob/Amber, CLUE:
ROADBLOCK. Who's ready to steer the team in the right direction?
Phil: Choose a camel cart, race twice around the course for the next clue.

Amber will ride the camel cart.
Rob: This oughtta be interesting.
Amber: Why are we going backwards (when she's pushing the other way?)

Ron/Kelly arrive.
Kelly will ride.
Rob and Ron look on.
Lynn/Alex have Meredith/Gretchen on their rear bumper.

Rob: I don't see my girl. This is not good.
Amber: Go camel! Go camel!
Ed. note: I ate camel in Africa.

It ain't movin'.

It starts moving in the wrong direction.
Gretchen laughs aloud.
Finally Amber finishes.
CLUE: Make your way to the next pitstop!

Lynn and Meredith still struggling with camels.

Gretchen: One more! Pass him! Hurry!
He's moving in the wrong direction.
Gretchen: Meredith, steer!
M: I"m trying!

Uchenna/Joyce riding ricksha to the pitstop.
Ron/Kelly doing the same.

Camel carts, Lynn last lap now.
Meredith is off in the brush.
Gretchen: Talk nice to the camel!!

Lynn/Alex: Make your way to the pitstop.

Uchenna: We gotta be first!
Joyce: After this!
Rob to driver: Come on!

They see the temple, far away in the distance.

Meredith, last lap, finishes and gets pitstop clue.
Meredith and Gretchen squabble.
G: For god sakes, we've never acted like this with each other.

Lynn: I'm not seeing a flag. I'm not seeing anything. Honey, I don't think it's this way.
Alex: Run ANY way. Just run.
They get to the top of a hill and there's nothing.
Nothing.
Alex: Where IS everybody?
