Phil: Rob/Amber stole Debbie/Bianca's cab, but their problems were just beginning. Brian/Greg lost momentum on the Detour. A Roadblock challenged teams to eat. Rob struggled, quit, and rolled the dice that other teams would. Patrick wanted to quit, but Debbie/Bianca couldn't catch up.

Eight teams remain. Who will be eliminated next?

Phil: This is Mendoza, Argentina. The Ystancia San Ysidro Ranch was the pitstop.

Can Susan/Patrick climb out of last?
Will Rob/Amber's unorthodoxy continue to alienate the others?

Lynn/Alex, 3:49 am. CLUE
Drive yourselves to Lolunta.
Phil: They'll find Cabana La Guantana Ranch for their next clue.
L/A conf: We want to beat Rob and Amber! We're determined to keep our lead! We'll come in first again today! Hopefully we'll get on a plane and really secure our lead!!

Uchenna/Joyce, 4:07 am.
Brian/Greg, 4:52.
Ron/Kelly, 4:52.
Still dark.
Ron confessional about being in the military. What a shock.

SIGN: Abierto de 6,30.
Lynn: It's only 6:00.
Uchenna/Joyce get directions. They're supposedly close.
Ron/Kelly on their way, right with Brian/Greg.

Finally it opens, to Lynn/Alex only.
ROADBLOCK.
Who's ready to horse around?
Phil: A traditional Gaucho challenge. Ride horse around a series of barrels, then spear this overhead ring. If they do it in 40 seconds or less, they'll receive the next clue

Daybreak, Rob/Amber leave.
Rob conf: We took a penalty last leg.
Amber: We have to catch up!

Joyce: I've been on a horse before!
She picks the horse ...
Lynn: Okay. The horses have done this a million time, Alex.
Alex takes off in mid-temp, and the horse moves sideways around the haybales.
First run: 41 seconds. Close!

Joyce's horse threatens to throw her off.
Uchenna: Don't pull on the reins!
Joyce gets tossed.
Joyce: Can I pick another horse?
Man: Nope.
Uchenna: This sucks.

Lynn finishes. CLUE: Fly to Buenos Aires.
Phil: First flight, 9:30 am. Next flgight, 2:30 pm.
They'll have to go to this tower (showing) and find this man for their next clue.

Joyce gets tossed again.
Uch: He's just a little skittish!
Joyce dusts herself off.
Uch, to himself: We need to get outta here before the next team!

Ron/Kelly arrive next.
Uchenna: I know Joyce is scared outta her mind. But her competitive nature will take over.
Man: 37 seconds.
Joyce: Yeeah!
Uchenna: You are amazing!
Joyce, reading CLUE: Buenos Aires!
Uche: We can make the 9:30 flight!!

Brian/Greg seem to be lost.
B: We went too far. Dammit.

Meanwhile, Rob: I hate being lost.

Romber !!!!!!!!! ]#* they caught the lead pack and caught the flight !!

Kelly finishes the ride in less than 41 seconds.
Off they go for a Buenos Aires flight.
Brian/Greg finally show up at the ride site.
Brian will ride.

Lynn/Alex get tix on 9:30 flight.

Brian makes short work of the course, 33.7 seconds.
Off they go to the airport.

Uchenna/Joyce arrive at the airport, 8:30. They get tix.

Ray/Deana leave the pitstop next.
Ray conf: We're with the bottom feeders! I'm embarrassed to be with teams of that caliber!

Gretchen/Meredity leave the pitstop.
G: We're thrilled to still be in it.
Last place, Susan/Patrick leave 8:56 am.
Arriving at the ranch, Rob will horse around.
It's 9:00.
Ron/Kelly get the 9:30 flight.
Rob starts the course.
First time through ... a winner.
Amber: That looked easy!
Rob: That's because I'm a professional horse rider!
It's 9:10 and they rush toward the airport.

Brian/Greg, at 9:25, trying to get on the 9:30 flight.

Amber: If we caught up to the other teams after taking a 4hour penalty, that would ...
Rob: They're striving to be like us! But not on a good day, baby.

Lynn: Everyone ate the meat!
Kelly: We didn't give up on anything! We're on the first flight!
Rob/Amber somehow make the 9:30 flight just as the other teams sit in their seats thinking Rob/Amber aren't gonna make it.
Shots, of each team, giddy that they're leaving Rob/Amber behind.
Umm ... not.
Rob/Amber walk across the tarmac toward the plane.
On the tarmac, Amber: I can't wait to see the look on their face!

Deana will ride.
Gretchen is enamored with a street juggler.
Susan, soon afterward, is trying to get him out of the way.

Ray: Get MAD at the horse.
Deana: Get away from me!

Meredith does the ride.

Deana picks up speed on the course.
Ray: Keep it going!
Gretchen: Go!
Deana stops around a barrel.
Deana sobs.
Deana says she was almost dumped.
Ray: Don't quit!

Meredith finishes in time.
Gretchen: What a gaucho you are!!
Deana, to the horse: Go! GOOOOO!
Deana, to Ray: Ray, I can't do this!
Deana cries.
Ray harrumphs.
Deana cries some more.
Ray: You either stay up there on that horse, or we go home. Come on!
Finally he decides if she disrobes the horse will go faster.
She takes her top off.
The horse goes faster.
Ray: Harder! Harder! The ring!
Man: 33 seconds.
Ray, kissing Deana: I'm so proud of you!

Patrick's first ride, too slow.
He'll try again.

They get the clue and head for the airport.

Arriving first in Buenos Aires, the early teams.

The second plane hasn't even left Mendoza yet.

Teams run for taxis.

Everyone yells "muy rapido" to their driver

CLUE, Rob/Amber: Make your way to the city of Tigre.
Phil: Teams travel 20 miles by train, find docks located at a specific address, for the next clue.
Amber: Train leaves 10 minutes!
They run for the train.
Team #2 and #3, Brian/Greg, Ron/Kelly, also get that train.

Uchenna/Joyce make the train in 4th.
Lynn/Alex bring up the rear in 5th.
All five teams seem to be on the same train.

Teams all getting the 2:30 flight:
Ray/Deana, Gretchen/Meredith, Susan/Patrick
All together in the airport
Gretchen, seeing Susan/Patrick arriving: We're still all here. The menage-a-trois. We'll start from the same point. We'll be racing together. One of us will be eliminated.

Ray conf: We're together at the back of the pack. I'm gonna make sure we don't stay here.

On the train to Tigre ...
Lynn/Alex move to the front of the train to get off first.
Rob/Amber move forward with them.
Lynn/Alex conf: They're like an STD. You have to protect yourself from them. The only way is to keep away from them.

Both teams haul it on foot, followed closely by Uchenna/Joyce.
Rob: It's right there.
Lynn: DETOUR.
Rob: Shipwreck, or Island?
Phil: Shipwreck, search a 7 mile area for a shipwreck, with only a picture for reference.
Island, travel 4 miles through a river delta, and find this island. Run onto the beach for the next clue.

Uchenna/Joyce ran a long, long way in the wrong direction, and will go back.
Ron/Kelly too.

Rob/Amber choose Shipwreck.
Their speedboat races Lynn/Alex's speedboat.
Lynn/Alex choose Island.
Uchenna/Joyce next. They choose Shipwreck.
Ron/Kelly choose next ... Island.
Brian/Greg choose shipwreck.

Rob: Holy Cannoli! (the boat took a big bounce)
Lynn: My shoes are getting wet!
Alex: At least Amber and Rob are nowhere in sight!

Rob finds the shipwreck.
CLUE: Find your way to , and drive your way to the next pitstop.
Phil: Last team to check in here, La Martina, may be eliminated.

Lynn/Alex's boat takes on water.
"This sucks."
Literally!

Brian/Greg find the wreck, take over 2nd place.

Rob says something about the Red Sox.
Brian/Greg see Rob/Amber as they finish.
Rob: Don't mess around. We're going to the pitstop.

Phil: If a vehicle breaks down through no fault of a team, they get a replacement vehicle, but no time credit.

Ron/Kelly get the next clue.
Uchenna/Joyce are lost, as they're finding the island.
So they decide to get on the island, and take their clue.
(Screen shows them now in 4th place.)

Taxis are taken as Uchenna/Joyce search for one.
Lynn/Alex get a taxi.
Finally Uchenna/Joyce get one, too.
Rob conf: Luck has always been on my side. Like a horseshoe up my ass.

Man: Welcome to Eldine.
Phil: Rob/Amber, you're team #1. Good news.
Amber: Yeah!
Phil: You've won a trip to London.
Rob: All right!!
Amber: Two first places down, more to come!

Phil: Brian/Greg, you're team #2.
Both: Yes!

Ron: Pokey (the driver) is taking his time.
Lynn/Alex stopped in traffic. Possibly lost.
Uchenna/Joyce think they're lost, too.

Uchenna: Good job!

Phil: Ron/Kelly, you're team #4.

Phil: Lynn/Alex, you're team #5.
Alex: We could have won today!
this is unfair, Lynn/ALex didnt get a prize last leg

The train takes off.
Gretchen is ecstatic.
Running toward the train platform ...
Patrick: They couldn't possibly have gotten here before us.
Susan/Patrick take the next train, while trying to convince themselves they're ahead of the other teams.

DETOUR, they'll take the Island.

Ray: It's ...

Ray: There they are!
Ray/Deana finally find the cluebox and decide on Island.
Susan/Patrick also choose Island
Susan/Patrick's boat died!

Patrick: The end of Patrick and Susan.

Gretchen/Meredith, lost: There's no star! Chaarrrrge!

Ray/Deana find the island.
CLUE: Travel by taxi to the next pitstop.
Meredith and Gretchen see Ray/Deana and FOLLOW THEM.
Ray: The farther they follow us, the farther off they are.
Deana: Oh, they're gonna hate us.
Susan: You'll never know. Don't give up.
Susan's replacement boat shows up.
Gretchen/Meredith, "Baffled."
Gretchen: I think we need to turn around.

Susan/Patrick get one at the dock. It's dark.
Patrick: Let's just get this over with.
Phil: Meredith/Gretchen, you're team #7.
Meredith: The most amazing thing is that we're still upright!

Phil: Susan/Patrick, you're the last team to arrive. I'm sorry to tell you, you've both been eliminated from the race.
Susan bawls.
Phil: Why is your mother so upset?
Susan: I knew we could do it. It was out of our control. I can't fix boats.

Susan, conf: I see it as the glass is half full. He sees it as half empty.
Patrick, conf: She wanted me to keep trying. I'm more of a realist. It frustrates me to hear optimism I don't think is real. Maybe I need to lighten up.
