Re: *SPOILER* TAR 7 Premiere *SPOILER*
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's a TAR article in next week's TV Guide (just got it in the mail today!) that has a behind the scenes look at the first leg of the race.
It confirms everything that's been said here:
-Amber was upset because other teams openly hated them. (boo hoo)
- Susan and Patrick had it in for Romber
- S/P, Romber and Debbie and Bianca form an alliance. S/P and D/B plan to "dispose" of Romber later on the race.
- The article mentions that the top 3 teams are way ahead of the others, without mentioning names. In fact, they were almost at the pitstop (a church in Cuzco) but the crew wasn't ready for them because when they arrived, it was closed.
- Romber is helped by someone who recognizes them from Survivor.
- The last teams are way behind the others because their flight was delayed.
- The baskets/llamas detour and zip line.
- Romber came after Jerry Bruckheimer to get on TAR.
- Bertram personally selected the chickens that would travel with the teams in the truck.
Hopefully somebody will scan and post the article. It's pretty long

I think that the TVGuide article only covers the first part of Monday, Nov. 22. The teams fly very early from Ancon (maybe via Lima) to Cuzco. The first teams leaves at 6AM so they may arrive before the crews are ready and the church very well could be closed at that early hour on a Monday. They have to take a taxi to the town of Huambutio and find a kiosk which the have a picture of for the next clue. From here they take a double zipline to the bottom of a ravine to get their next clue which is the detour either rope a Llama or rope a basket. When they complete this task they must return to Huambutio, find the police station and take a truck 20 miles to the town of Pisca. They then have to find the next clue in the market place. If the pit stop is back at the church in Cuzco then the whole trip to Pisca is meaningless. So I do think that the pit stop is at perhaps the Temple of the Sun outside Pisca (INTI HUATANA). This make more sense to me than going back to Cuzco. But knowing TAR this maybe added on after they find the right temple. This would then put them back in Cuzco ready to move on to the next leg on Tuesday.
OK. I just reread the very end of the MD and along with the TV Guide article, perhaps the PIT STOP is back in Cuzco. But finding the right church may be a task - there are 11 of them in the small town of Cuzco. The most prominent church is La Catedral on the Plaza de Armas. But there are 10 other smaller ones hidden around the town. If the pit stop is here and they return here from Pisac without visiting any of the Inca Ruins there, then my guess is that Leg 2 Starts off by taking a train from the Estacion de Trenes (San Pedro Station)to Aguas Calientes (3 hours) and then a tourist bus up to the ruins of MACHU PICCHU (15 minutes). There is also airline (helicopter ?) service from Cuzco to Aguas Calientes. This archeological masterpiece, the oldest city in the Western Hemisphere) is like the Terra Cotta Soldiers in Xi'an (TAR6) you just can't visit Peru without visiting Machu Picchu!! A word of caution, Machu Picchu is at an atlitude of 2490 meters (about 7700 feet) sop take it easy.
