REWARD CHALLENGE/ "Shoot and Switch" - Ulong wins? Tribal switch?
Not really clear how the title fits the challenge here, but it appears to involve the two tribes racing into the water and retrieving life preservers. A number of individual battles are highlighted, but from a Probst statement in the web promo ("The showdown is on!"), it appears the challenge may come down to a face-off between Stephenie for Ulong and Jenn for Koror. It's hard to imagine Jenn coming out ahead in that face-off. So we'll go with another Ulong RC win.
This fits with the CBS clues about a tribe that "relaxes after winning a challenge, which annoys a tribemate frustrated with the lack of work ethic." Since Koror seems to be pretty excited about (and participating in) shark hunting, slacking, Jolanda-free Ulong seems like a much better fit. And since we don't usually see the IC-winning tribe much after that challenge, Ulong would make sense as the RC winners.
The Palau challenge board (discussed at length at Phoenix and Sucks) also suggests this will be a tribal switch episode (also that the reward is a choice of a sail boat, bedding, or rain gear). From the title of this challenge, this would appears to be the one that initiates it. Does anyone switch? And if so, how? Hell if we know, but it at least looks like Coby, Willard, Ibrehem and Bobby Jon all stay put, based on the IC caps).
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE/ "Hot Pursuit" - Koror wins?
Preparations for this challenge were featured in TVGuide Channel's pre-show coverage. Tribe members are roped together, and each carries a 25-lb backpack. The tribes start on opposite sides of a large rope circle in wading-depth water, and attempt to catch each other. As you might expect, this is pretty grueling. Individual players can drop out, but they have to pass their packs off to another tribemate. Eventually, one or more pack-laden people have to catch the other tribe's packhorse(s).
Who wins? Chances are, it's Koror, even though, once again, they have a physically-oriented challenge that Ulong should (on paper, at least) dominate. But we see an exhausted-looking Ibrehem barely moving in the promos, which makes it hard to believe he's going to catch the other tribe. And Jeff appears fine in the RC, so he must injure his foot before this challenge. Sucks poster callmecrazee states, " I don't believe Jeff quits the game. I believe he quits the Hot Pursuit challenge." Seems like a decent guess. Without Jeff, Ulong may have a numbers disadvantage, with Koror's Ian, Tom, Coby and Gregg all capable of carrying reasonable amounts of weight. The promo also shows an exhausted Coby lying in the water, post-challenge, which could either be post-win relaxation, or post-loss exhaustion. Hard to draw solid conclusions from the minimal coverage in the promo. But we'll still lean toward a Koror win here.
BOOT/ Jeff? Kim?
Clearly, Jeff gets hurt, based on the promos. His tribemates (mostly James) are also starting to grumble about his relationship with Kim, who doesn't seem to be doing much else apart from snuggling with Jeff, and demanding to know if she's being voted against. So the Ulongs face a choice: keep injured Jeff, and hope he recovers, or send him packing, and hope vainly that Kim starts to contribute? Tough choice, but we think they'll ditch the young guy.

REWARD CHALLENGE/ Home Depot product placement "Better Built Outhouse"? - Koror wins?
The Palau challenge storyboard featured in the "Countdown to Survivor: Palau" revealed (with a bit of eyestrain) this challenge to be sponsored by the Home Depot, at least as of Ep1, when the storyboard was filmed (storyboard discussions: Sucks, Phoenix, Joker's Updates). Hard to imagine Survivor would screw around with a corporate sponsor, so fairly safe to assume this is still it. Mersaydeez says: "I believe this is possibly 'better built outhouse,' since I know there is a latrine building challenge coming up (Ibrehem is the 'nail holder').
But is it? There's all this nonsense with the "tribal representatives," which Koror at least seems to believe might be a sneaky way to direct a tribal switch to rescue Ulong. But since both tribes seem to get to greet Probst before anybody leaves, that seems unlikely. Your guess is as good as ours as to what's involved, but Ulong still seems to have the same people at the IC. As for the challenge, well Probst seems to be showing up at Koror's beach with a special delivery, and Koror seems pretty excited to see him (unless jig-dancing Ian is just impersonating Ashlee Simpson). So we'll go with a Koror win here.
IMMUNITY CHALLENGE/ "Sumo at Sea" - Koror wins?
Sumo! At sea! (Okay, a pillow fight on a platform, at least). Looks like a lot of sound and fury, signifying nothing. The challenge itself looks like the kind, again, that Ulong should do well at, one based on inidividual strength (and a bit of balance), with no teamwork required. Several face-offs are shown coming out in Ulong's favor: Stephenie tosses Jenn overboard, Ibrehem appears to get the best of Gregg. But the shot of a dry, winded-looking Tom squinting into the distance probably tells the main tale. Bobby Jon's comments at the previous tribal council, that they can't beat Tom, will be seen as prophetic. Why do we say that, when all the shots of Ulong appear to be in their favor? Because they appear to be leaving this challenge, heads down, in the same clothes they arrived in. No idol visible. It's possible they're just leaving camp to go to the challenge, but Ibrehem is shirtless in the marching picture, so probably not. Looks like another Koror win.
BOOT/ Kim?
There's a slight possibility Ulong could be even stupider than usual, and boot malcontents Bobby Jon or James, but it seems much more likely that they'll finally get around to cutting deadweight Kim. Yawn.

BOOT/ Kim? Janu? Willard?
Depending on who wins immunity, this one could be either easy, or hard. Jeff's post-boot comments gave little indication that Ulong had a chance of avoiding tribal council this week, but we'll at least entertain the possibility.

For Koror, Gregg said in an Insider video that Janu seemed to be breaking down, so she could be their first boot. Either that, or they could go with frequent sit-out, Willard. But if you believe Mersaydeez, it's Kim this week.

We'll stick with that assessment until proven otherwise. We find it hard to believe Ulong could win a challenge requiring planning, foresight, cooperation and teamwork. Koror wins?

Why do we say that, when all the shots of Ulong appear to be in their favor (except the one of Tom)? Dunno, but we still think Tom will take the challenge for Koror. The caps show a 3-1 Ulong advantage. But Coby looks in a position to win, and there's no reason to believe Kim will suddenly start helping in challenges, so it could easily be 3-3. As the Heartbreak Yid and BJ pointed out in Sucks Spoilers and MeSS respectively, the last two caps of Ibrehem better fit him losing a bout. So we'll go with a Koror win, perhaps with good old Ibe the final Ulong to fall.
BOOT/ Kim
Depending on who wins immunity, this one could be either easy, or hard. Jeff's post-boot comments gave little indication that Ulong had a chance of avoiding tribal council this week, but we'll at least entertain the possibility. Nah, that's crazy talk. Ulong loses again.
