And here we are again! :waves: :2hearts:

Previously on TAR, 8 teams dove into Dubai, UAE! Carson & Jack claimed an underwater FF while Nick & Mike had a familiar moment from behind. But it was a dramatic foot race that led Pops & Jeff to be eliminated against them. The season's first self-drive sends teams spinning and a double U-Turn will have a massive impact coming up.

Carson & Jack depart 1st at 12:34 P.M. Fly to Sofia, Bulgaria!

Carson realized Jack is calmer than usual in this pressure cooker experience and are hoping for the best for the self-drive. Han & Holden depart 2nd at 1:16 P.M. They want to keep the momentum going. Alyssa & Josiah leave 3rd 3 minutes behind H&H. The couple plan to pay down their debts. Josiah thought the name sounded familiar to him and realized it sounded like "Sofia Vergara".

Brett & Mark and Jon & Ana leave in 4th and 5th. Melinda & Erika leaving in 6th. Erika is shocked they are driving and are worried. Nick & Mike depart last in their taxi and are grateful to have survived the prior leg.

Everyone is at the airport now. All on the same flight. "Strategy is to make as little mistakes as possible. We're gunning for first." - Nick & Mike.

First, Brett and Mark called the Burj Khalifa the "Wiz Khalifa" now they say they don't know where Bulgaria is.  I didn't pen them as the "dumb team" for the season.

We return to scenes of Sofia first! And a rush of teams sprinting to their cars in the multilevel parking garage. They are looking for marked Ford Focyses.

Drive to the square of Negushevo to pick up the next clue. All teams driving out and following each other out with Carson & Jack out of the structure first. Brett & Mark are struggling with stick and Han & Holden try passing to no wiggle room or avail. And... we have our first accident of the season! Jon & Ana showing Han & Holden how to get the stick in gear.

Nick & Mike are reminded of Italy by the scenes. Holden went into the military and is familiar with reading maps, but it's Han who is holding it instead. Erika doesn't know how to read a map. Carson & Jack are taking the wrong exits already and make the excuse of living in NYC as the reason they don't know where and how to drive.

Jon & Ana arrive at the square. Alyssa & Josiah behind them.

ROUTE INFO: Kukeri! Teams need to gather apples as an offering and deliver them to the leader of the kukeri to receive their next clue.

Alyssa & Josiah are at the apple haul 2nd. Jon & Ana are working well and see a stray apple. Alyssa & Josiah is slighlty behind them. "My family carried a lot of fruit growing up. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree." - Josiah

Jon & Ana reach the kukeri festival and reminded them of Where the Wild Things Are. They deliver the apples right before Aly & Josiah arrive as well.

ROUTE INFO: Osoitsa Village Library. Teams must find their next clue within the bookshelves.

Alyssa & Josiah and Jon & Ana take off while Brett & Mark arrive at the apples in 3rd. They reach the kukeris rather quickly. They are impressed by the hair of the kukeris and grab the clue. "That was very Doja Cat Coachella." - Brett

Nick & Mike are visibly lost and ask a local. Carson & Jack are following a road, but haven't seen any signage that tells them they are close.

Jon finds the clue!

DETOUR: Haystack or Woodstack
In Haystack, one team member must find a magnitsa. In Woodstack, one team must use a wheelbarrow and backpack to transport 200 kg of firewood to a specific address.

Alyssa & Josiah are behind them immediately and choose the hay. Han & Holden are 4th at the apples and are slowly hauling. Carson & Jack are trying a different highway and Jack says this is a complete disaster.

Melinda & Erika are also shown finishing the kukeri apple offering in 5th behind H&H. Carson & Jack are in jeopardy.

We come back to DnD playing chutes and ladders with directions as they ask someone at a bank. "Bank to Sofia, our favorite city." - Jack.

Brett & Mark arrive at the library and choose the woodstacks. Nick & Mike arrive at the apples and see some goats on the way to deliver their apples.

Jon & Ana are trying to find the marked parking at the Detour and see a couple arrows. They get to the haystacks. Jon says those stacks are taller than him. They have to sift through to find the magnitsa in one of three haystacks in their designated area.

Brett & Mark don't know how to convert kilos to pounds as they arrive at the woodstack Detour. They remind everyone of the Lena & Kristy moment and say the hay is itchy. :funny:

Alyssa & Josiah arrive at the village and park behind Brett & Mark's car as Jon & Ana don't know what the item looks like. Jon is not having it with their choice of Detour.

Aly & Josiah see the hay while Brett & Mark and Jon & Ana are making some... progress.

Brett tries carrying the wood with the backpack and it's lift-off. "Baby, you look like a cute little mountain guy." - Mark. They are dropping wood pieces everyone. "I'm a one grocery trip kind of guy, so there's gonna be a bit of spillage." - Mark.

Josiah feels like a bomb-sniffing dog as Jon & Ana switch to another stack.

Alyssa unexpectedly finds the magnitsa!

Jon & Ana are arguing as Jon says they lost their lead. Brett & Mark make delivery number one as they reach 165 kilograms.

Han & Holden get to a library... but it's the wrong one. Melinda & Erika get their correct library clue in 4th. They choose the Haystacks Detour as hauling wood is too much.

Carson & Jack are still incredibly lost as Nick & Mike are behind as well.
