aaaaAnd we are back on the TAR train! :bump:


Previously on TAR, 12 teams set off to Osaka, Japan! At the airport, Pops & Jeff and Melinda & Erika joined forces to work some airport magic. The Intersection forced teams to pair up. Jon and Jack were in sync while Scott and Bernie staged a spectacular comeback. Ernest and Mark couldn't find their rhythm and were overwhelmed by the situation. Ana & Jon won the leg while Han & Holden got tangled at the Detour. Ernest & Bridget though ended up eliminated. Coming up tonight, the Express Pass returns and a new surprise is revealed. An emotional high at the Detour too!

Jon & Ana depart first at 8:31. Take a bullet train to Kyoto.

Scott & Lori depart 2nd and read the Express Pass task. They leave almost an hour behind Jon and Ana, oh wow. It wasn't even close. They talk about their age and how every minute counts. Alyssa & Josiah depart in 3rd. Josiah wishes to have sake. Carson & Jack leave in 4th and discuss wanting the Express Pass so bad. Mel & Erika leave in 5th with Mel's legs cramping up already. Courtney & Jasmin depart 6th and talk about meeting in the ER.

Pops & Jeff and Bernie & Carri leaving in 7th and 8th are looking forward to the bullet trains. Jon & Ana purchasing tickets at the train station. :2hearts:

Scott & Lori also arrive while Jon & Ana board. They make it to the first train with one minute to spare. They are off! Lori and Scott say the ride is super smooth.

Anyways, we are back on with Carson & Jack and Alyssa & Josiah getting on the 2nd train.

We get a short montage of calm Kyoto before the onslaught of Jon & Ana going for the Express Pass with Scott & Lori right behind. "Taxi taxi taxi" - Jonathan. They are appreciating the old Japanese structures. Carson & Jack and Aly & Josiah also arrive.

Courtney & Jasmin going into the Osaka train station looking for the ticket counter. Jeff 2x make the ticket counter and ask foreigners to get up in front. "Player move right there, Pops"- Jeff (Younger)

Courtney & Jasmin ask for where the ticket counter is while Melinda & Erika see the yellow team. Nick & Mike and Brett & Mark make the train alongside nurses and mom and daughter.

Scott & Lori and Jon & Ana looking for the clue box.

Jon & Ana see Carson & Jack and Scott & Lori are trying to cross the street with cars zooming pass! Carson & Jack buy their paper. They get back to their taxi quickly. "10 minutes, perfect." Scott & Lori finally get their taxi. Alyssa & Josiah want to leave before anyone else sees them at the paper.

Han & Holden depart in last and are going to the hotel to get a taxi. They are hauling today.

Jeff 2x get to Kyoto. Jon & Ana find the shrine.

ROADBLOCK (Express Pass!): One team member kick a kemari ball for 5 passes to get their next clue. The team who wins the Express Pass is the one who BOTH team members must complete the Roadblock.

Jon & Ana are both going for it with Jon first. Carson & Jack are battling for 2nd and the Express Pass.

Solid attempts from both Jon and Carson, trying to get the motion down. Jon quickly finishes the task and Ana is going for it. Jon was not optimistic while Carson said he played soccer, but his mom told him he remembered him picking the flowers instead.

Courtney & Jasmin and Melinda & Erika reach Kyoto!

Carson and Ana are both struggling with the technique. "Jonathan is so competitive, and if I'm not good at something, he shuts down." - Ana. They describe their relationship knowing how they interact with each other.

Brett & Mark, Nick & Mike, and Bernie & Carrigain reach Kyoto.

Carson finishes the kicks and trades with Jack to go for the Express Pass. Scott begins kicking and almost kicks it into the shrine. :funny:
