route seems bit disappointing, 5 legs still in Europe and no new country, Slovakia as new country has been skipped once again, instead it has a bright chance to be visited this time as leg 4, but being bypass and straight to Hungary. If leg 6 still in Europe, it better be a new country like Albania, just south of Croatia. To be honest, the recent international version route and task seems more interesting, like the TAR Australia that is currently filming seems going to Nepal and Central Asia. Hope that US the original version can do better. A suggestion, Season 40 can be a season with whole new country that cover all 6 continents, for example:
Asia: Qatar
Oceania: Fiji, Palau, Vanuatu, Kiribati
Europe: Luxembourg
Africa: Ivory Cost, Togo, Benin
South America: Guyana
North America: El Salvador, Nicaragua
11 legs with final in US, just an example

If you look at the past 4 seasons, each has visited two continents (not counting a US Finale), and I honestly could see that being the direction the show is heading.

 i think this season was a last minute decision. The producers usually scout places for a long period . Visas etc .
.The cast for 39 may already have been Selected  .
 I wont be surprised if 39 films in may or april .

Honestly not sure how I feel with over half of the season in Europe. On one hand, these are countries (except the first) that only have 1 or 2 previous visits with a potential new country. On the other hand, I would like to see more continents as people will start comparing this to the COVID seasons.

He was wrong about nothing .He knew that they wouldnt leave Europe .i cant believe i 2nd guessed that they ,would not LEAVE  Europe.
The back tracking to Romania is my only surprise .

I'm very excited to see Hungary and Romania again-- long-awaited.  The show hasn't filmed in the Czech Republic in going on eight years now, either.

I'm under the belief that if the next four legs went to Kenya, Uzbekistan, Nepal, and Australia, people would still find reason to complain, so in the meantime, I'm excited to see this route as-is.
