I was actually excited at the idea of the Germany leg being long with a long drive and tasks in different cities :(

The schedule was a travel day on June 26 and a leg on June 27, wasn't it? It really should've been the first Germany leg yesterday unless a leg really did happen out of anyone's sight.

Doesn't the KOR non-elimination (Vietnam) mean that with a 12 leg race there wouldn't be another non-elimination leg? So I don't see how a mega leg is possible at this point considering the first half technically is a "non elimination"
Leg 1 (Bangkok): 13 teams -> 12 teams
Leg 2 (Bangkok): 12 teams -> 11 teams
Leg 3 (Can Tho): KOR/non-elimination
Leg 4 (TBD, Vietnam): 11 teams -> 10 teams
Leg 5 (Amer/Jaipur): 10 teams -> 9 teams
Leg 6 (Jaipur): 9 teams -> 8 teams
Leg 7 (Germany): 8 teams -> 7 teams
Leg 8 (Germany?): 7 teams -> 6 teams
Leg 9: 6 teams -> 5 teams
Leg 10: 5 teams -> 4 teams
Leg 11: 4 teams -> 3 teams
Leg 12: Finale

Unless they’re saving Africa for 37 in a couple of months is it possible for them to dip down to Africa for 2 legs then back up for a European penultimate?
Zack.:
It's possible; wherever they are in Germany they can get to Frankfurt (or Zurich) and fly to most major hubs in Africa. The penultimate leg would probably be in a pretty big European city or (less likely) an African city that flies directly the the US.
