This may be a bit outside the box, but remember back in Season 5 how they flew from Castlegar to Vancouver, went to a travel agency in Richmond, and then flew to Beijing?

Maybe we have a situation like that? Maybe we are missing them since they aren't even in Canada?

I don't think they're leaving the country anymore. The last 2 seasons were an uptick in ratings, the best since Season 4. Which gives the producers validation that this is how the audience wants it from now on.

Esquimalt is the base where they did the rescue task in Season 2. If it's them, it sounds like from the commenters that the picketers could cause them trouble in certain places.

Teams landed in Vancouver on Wednesday in the late afternoon. So, they probably went to a signup board (charter buses?), had an overnight rest, and did Leg 3 in the mountains on Thursday.

Since the route is avoiding a zig-zag pattern across the nation, then Leg 5 might be in either the Yukon or Saskatchewan with an outside chance for the Northwest Territories.

A tip for looking up sightings in the future, with Race Across the World airing right now and it taking place in Canada, there's a chance that some people could mistake TAR with Race Across the World so looking up key words for that could help in later legs

Wonder where their Ontario legs will feature this year. They did Kitchener (formerly known as Berlin before WWII) in season 7, London in season 8. To complete this "European trifecta", maybe this year they'll visit Paris.

It's a small town near where I grew up. There's a couple landmarks referencing its significantly larger namesake.

Maybe we'll get both lol. If their plan for Ontario is to follow a main artery like recent seasons, then Paris isn't really out of the way. They could also hit Brantford next door (hometown of Wayne Gretzky, and where Bell supposedly invented the telephone)

It was today (about 30 to 45 minutes ago) but I think they're just going to the airport but I could be wrong. We'll need more sightings to know for sure.
