Hung reveals children fluids are disgusting and believes this feels like home. "If a patient needed a colonoscopy, I would do it too." :funny:

Riley and Madisson are quickly getting the table set up while Eswar & Aparna get the dentures completed. "We beat CheeHu at something."

Hung & Chee believe the only team behind them is Kaylynn & Haley. Speaking of them, they get to the This or That option.

Hung & Chee finish the dentures Detour and move on in 5th. Kaylynn & Haley are also doing the dentures with their faces draining out with excitement. :funny:

Will & James reach the palace and are changing into their formalwear. DeAngelo & Gary talk with their socialites as Will & James pick their pairing.

Riley reveals he will tell James about it, but not Gary.

Meanwhile, Kaylynn & Haley fit their mold into the patient saying he will get a lollipop after.

Riley and James are teaming up to finish the Roadblock. :faint: "The Mine Five is officially dead."

Commercial break.

We come back to Gary and James setting up tables while Riley gets a check. He is unapproved. The  silverware and plates have to be within 24"x14". Eswar & Aparna and Hung & Chee reach the Roadblock. Aparna says Kaylynn & Haley are going to have a terrible day. Riley is disapproved again. "This is not good."

Aparna reveals this is the music she would typically listen to at home.

Gary sees the blondes having a long day ahead of them. Kaylynn & Haley are fitting dentures with a forceful push and get it on the second try. They are going to the palace where they say if they get Yielded again, they will slaughter them.

Riley gets another check and is approved. PIT STOP: Run to the garden of the palace!

Riley & Madisson are TEAM NUMBER ONE and receive a trip for two on a 7-day Windsor cruise from St. Maarten. They react to the mega leg.

Teams still trying to get the silverware and folds all measured and placed pristinely. James gets a check and is approved. He moves on, but helps Hung with the task. "Thank God for alliances."

Will & James are TEAM NUMBER TWO.

Phil is also confused about the alliance constructs. James is confident they will win.

Gary is disapproved and DeAngelo says he wants to get out of the task without seeing the girls. Eswar is also low-key bullying Kaylynn & Haley about how they always come up from behind. Kaylynn & Haley arrive at the palace with their horse-drawn carriage.

Commercial break.

My only issues with Alliances (as their have been many of them from vey loose long term alliances, to large short term alliances and everything in-between), is watching when teams stop thinking of themselves to the detriment of their own forward progress.  What I like to call the "Erwin & Godwin" rule.  That's the point when I think, you do understand this is a competition you want to win, and there is no Congeniality award given.  So far, none of the teams that have helped another have put their immediate future in jeopardy.  But we are getting close to that now.

We return to Gary measuring the table sets with Hung and Aparna setting up their flutes. Kaylynn & Haley head off on the carriages with their socialites.

Meanwhile, Gary finishes the RB. Chee "It's not fun being at the bottom." Aparna "This could take forever."

DeAngelo & Gary are TEAM NUMBER THREE. More talks about the Yield and Phil trying to make something of the alliance.

And as someone who doesn't in general like Yields, U-Turns, Intersections (basically any game play that holds you from making forward progress), I am not pleased to see two yields.....

Hung finishes the task in 4th and moves on to the Pit Stop. Aparna gets a check as Kaylynn & Haley wait out their remaining 8 minutes. They are still waiting out the Yield as Aparna finishes the RB.

Hung & Chee and Aparna & Eswar are TEAM NUMBERS 4 and 5.

Kaylynn & Haley are working on the RB and move on to the Pit Stop.

Kaylynn & Haley are the last team to arrive and have been eliminated from the race. They are proud of the way they have raced and are happy they got through 8 legs. "I think it's ironic that whenever I go into elimination, I'm in a costume."

Welp its been a fun race to the blondes. Double yield along with the taxi driver drove them away.

Overall, honestly a great mega leg. The first part was definitely the best part, but loved all the tasks there. the contrast between the first part and the second is nice well done too. I just put aside the alliance there so it won't ruin the watching experience

I agree. One of the best India legs I've seen since season 7, ironically also a technical mega-leg (double-length). The contrast between the new-age tech side and the traditionalist culture of Hyderabad was really interesting to see unfold. LOVED the Swiggy / binary Detour option. Also really liked the bangles and dentures Detour even though the dentures task does seem out of place compared to the one I saw in TAR14.

So when comparing the mega leg to the double-length legs from 6-10, those five seasons all had some rest point with a hours of operation or teams having to travel to another location. This one was more like 14's with the exception of a mid-leg Phil appearance in that the leg was run straight through without interruption.
The problem with running without a break is that it's then hard to catch up. Even without the double Yield, placements didn't shift as much in the second half.
Kaylynn & Haley had a pretty historic lucky run, so it only make sense that they would make history on the way out.

I know dentistry isnt exclusive to India obviously but finding a random open-air dentist's office brings the randomness I love to see in TAR. I said it before, but I'll echo others saying that the first part of the Leg was absolutely fantastic- independently the best leg of the season. Second half wasn't as great, but that could easily be the fault of way too much alliance content. I was hoping Riley & Maddison would Yield Gary & Deangelo but instead we got 15 minutes of snide comments and gossipy answer sharing. I feel bad for the producers tbh that a high school mentality has brought down what would otherwise be an incredible season- South America and Asia thus far have been very well designed (besides Colombia).
